  1. I just picked up some TTI basepads for my M&P... tested them out today, and they work flawlessly. If you look online, you can find some promo codes for 10% off, free shipping, etc...
  2. I just checked, and they're back in stock. It uses the factory shims. The stoeger and the magpul stock are different sizes, this just allows them to match up. No fancy physics or anything - it just makes them match so they work together.
  3. They also said they THINK it will be USPSA production legal Asked about price, and this is the response I got: Its premium gun. Fully machined, unique construction.
  4. I sent them a message on facebook - they replied and said it uses an internal hammer.
  5. That's awesome! I'm sure you'll love it
  6. You might want to check the rules for where you plan on competing. My local matches use UML rules, and the only difference between limited and tac-ops is the rifle optic vs rifle scope. Factory allows a max of 8, but in UML "limited" allows for whatever length tube you want. Also, my place doesn't have shots beyond 100 yards... no need for some fancy expensive scope for that.
  7. I put the magpul stock on my M3K and love it. You won't be disappointed, but you will need a new limbsaver.
  8. The Stoeger M3K is a great entry level 3 gun shotgun - I got mine delivered to my FFL for $550. Just add an extension tube and you're good to go. At my local matches, out of 80+ people, I'd bet there's at least 30 with the M3K. It's an inertia gun like the M2, and very reliable. If you have the funds, and really want to dive in, I'd go with the M2. That said, I love my m3k
  9. The extended reach for the trigger isn't noticeable at all. As a follow up, I really love this new stock. Primary Arms has the actual Magpul stock for the Mossberg (the one needed for the Stoeger adapter) in orange, which is super tempting... MOA is usually pretty quick about getting things back in stock, but you can always give them a call to find out if they have a good idea when.
  10. I've kept my IC choke in my M3K for the first couple matches this year - haven't seen a real need to change it out. MOA Precision recently partnered up with Carlson and they've added them to their website: http://moaprecision.com/cgi-bin/imcart/display.cgi?item_id=carlsonchoke&cat=7&page=1&search=&since=0&status=&title= Worth a look if you're interested in additional chokes. I'm thinking about picking up a skeet one...
  11. I have the PRO and I love it, but this all depends on what you want to use it for. The PRO is much heavier, nearly double... but remarkable durable. I have my PRO on my Colt SOCOM II, and a microdot (primary arms aimpoint clone) on a riser on my 3Gun rifle. Both work fantastically. The MRO from when I've fiddled with one seems great, but the older models have a blueish tint. What are you planning on using this for anyway?
  12. If the trigger isn't resetting all the way, try a stronger trigger return spring if you can get one.
  13. Ballistic advantage 16" midlength .750 - hanson profile Superlative Arms adjustable gas block If I remember right, it's the 7th or 8th click... maybe 6th
  14. They're relatively new, but Brownells came out with their own low mass BCGs. 3 coating options, I went with Nickel Boron, and for $130 and 8.2oz, you can't beat it. 1500+ rounds through it, and not a hiccup - it also cleans easier than my old nickel boron one it replaced. Running it with a JP SCS with the white spring (80%, stock is 85%), and an adjustable gas block - it's beautiful. https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/bolt-parts/bolt-carrier-groups/m16-5-56-lightweight-bolt-carrier-group-prod116267.aspx
  15. I'm running Taccom shell holders on my ELS belt - no complaints, no adapter needed.
  16. Extremely likely. If I remember right, he said something about it not resetting completely. I also had a gunsmith fit barrel installed at the same time, however. Maybe a combination? Who knows.
  17. I had a light primer strike on my new trigger kit recently, and the fix on mine was a stronger trigger return spring. My gunsmith said the one that was included just wasn't doing the job, and he had a stronger one. I went from 15 light strikes out of 100 shots, to working perfectly. He installed it Friday, and Sunday, two days ago, I tested it, and that was it. Maybe that'll help?
  18. I just bought and had installed the apex flat faced trigger kit, along with the gunsmith barrel. Like you, I already had the competition spring kit in there, and I wanted to know if I could just buy the trigger ($70) vs the whole trigger kit ($170). I called apex and they told me that each part of the trigger kit is made just for the trigger kit, and that it wouldn't work with existing parts plus the trigger - I needed the whole kit. If you install everything that came with the trigger kit, that should fix your problem.
  19. I was thinking the same thing. I was able get it about half way in by hand before I used the pliers again... I was able to grip the bolt and spun the shotgun around so it didn't have any marring other than the original grip mark (super minimal) - but again, you can't see it, so whatever. It's probably way cheaper to manufacture those bolts round than having some additional machining done to them.
  20. I installed this yesterday, and I have to say I'm a big fan already. Haven't had a chance to take it out to the range yet, but it is way more comfortable to shoulder and hold. Stock cheek riser is just right for me also. Install was relatively easy, getting the stock bolt out required my wife's hairdryer to loosen it up - not reusing it, and you can't see it, so the pliers got it out real nice. Very happy with it so far
  21. I actually just bought one of these (along with the MOA conversion piece - will be installing it later today), and the box says 12.5" to 14.5". The height is adjustable, but the cheek risers are not included - sold separate. No clue on the recoil reducer.
  22. As a review - it works great, and cleans VERY easily - noticeably better than the nickel boron full mass one it replaced. 400 rounds in before I cleaned it.
