I'm thinking about making the long haul up for this. Does anyone know of a good campground or other camping area around I could stay in with the family?

I'll second what DougC said. Start at 7yds. and work out. My 25 yard groups always looked like a shotgun pattern from all of my other guns, open, limited, glocks, and a CZ. After getting used to an M&P I now have a group at 25 yards. These guns are not bullseye accurate, but my 147gr and 124gr reloads will all stay in the down zero zone of an IDPA target unsupported.

When I placed my order I put a note on it that said I had to have it by a certain date to be able to shoot a state match with it. It showed up on that day. He told me once that he gets bogged down with dealers orders, but will do all he can when he knows a shooter needs it for a big match. It is one of my favorite holsters.

Got to love Karma man, we were at a match last weekend and one of my squad mates was harrassed by someone in the squad ahead of us. The other guys turn came up and karma got him back with a jam from hell in his open gun.

If I remember correctly Frank awards U as it's own class, just like D,C,B,A,etc. If it were me I'd want a gun with as many bullets as will fit for this match. It helps to be able to cut out some reloads as a new guy at this match.

A little slide glide on the rails, FP safety, and sear area has worked fine for me so far.

Went to an IPSC match this morning and just before getting out of the car hit the outside temp button.....24 degrees at 9am. What was I thinking when I left this morning. By 11 the temp was quite nice and I was glad I went after all.

Carlos has it there. If SW had called it a safety, you could not remove it. They call it a mag disconnect so you can remove it. No safeties are involved. I have seen some factory guns with no lock and no disconnect without the engraving on the slide. That alone would make it impossible to enforce.

I've had one in .40 with a bushing barrel since last Feb. My Edge has not gotten much use since then. It's a great gun to use in both games. If you stick to the IDPA legal mags you can shoot L-10 and not change how you break down a stage or get some long mags and shoot limited with it. You can;t go wrong with one.
