  1. Hmmm, time for me to start a spare parts bin. Good timing for that spring to break!
  2. Nice! I picked up a reduced power sear and trigger spring. I might toy with that this weekend.
  3. Didn't know those were Memphis' vids! Thanks Memphis! I followed those vids to polish up my Tanfoglio. Most helpful!
  4. I recently did a full strip and polish job on my first Tanfoglio. If you can do a Shadow, this will be kinda similar. Cover the small hole on the side of the mag release with your thumb when you pull out the trigger bar spring assembly. Ask me how I know! lol
  5. Remove the slide and insert a mag into the mag well. Look and see if the mag is binding against the sear cage. That "auto" slide release is a nice feature if it works in your pistol.
  6. You want to get a M3x4 screws for the rear sights.
  7. Good stuff! I thought the S2 standard height front sight from the factory was 7.5mm or 0.295"? Probably explains the hight hits while bottomed out on the read.
  8. A gritty trigger to me is like having a pebble in my shoe. I polish everything.
  9. lol, thanks. Itching to let her stretch her legs.I'll bore sight it before my range trip.
  10. If this is the case, drifting the rear sight is needed and a taller front. Check out Dawson Precision's website. They have a sight calculator that will tell you which height sight you need to correct to the POI you want.
  11. Added some paintfill to "bling" and personalize my Ltd Custom. I ended up removing the paintfill from the Tanfoglio because the enrgaving was too shallow to get an even finish.
  12. Would love to use N340/N320 regularly but at $60.CDN/1.1lbs, I'll stick to Titegroup.
  13. Most of the stores up here are charging a $10 premium on Federal SPPs over CCI/Winchester. Grrrrr
  14. Ahhh! Thanks for the info.
  15. Yeah, reset is pretty short now. Looking forward to using this pistol on my next match.
  16. Funny enough, I went through this same sceniero last night. I had to knock off a little off the top of the disco as George16 pointed out and knock down under the wings until it properly clears the trigger bar. Lots of filing and reassembly until it worked.
  17. I recall reading somewhere on Lee's site that 9mm isn't recommeded for bulge busting because a 9mm case is tapered unless 45acp, 40sw, 10mm etc. Wonder if it was in the manual that came with mine? I'll have to go look.
  18. Well, the 7lb trigger will teach ya good trigger finger discipline. I installed the pre-B disco last night. I needed to fit it for my S2. The ears on the disco weren't clearing the trigger bar allowing the trigger to fall forward when the sear was disengaged. Trigger reset is a bit shorter than the S2 factory disco. Took me close to 4hrs to fit... The first 90mins of that was me on all fours looking for the damn sear pin that fell off my workbench. I just about gave up when I just happened to see it, well away from where I saw it fall. On the plus side, the floor and mats are nice and clean now. I have no idea how it ended up halfway across the room. Then 30mins of me trying to figure out why the slide would not cycle as soon as I inserted the slide lock, only to eventually realize that I was inserting my Tanfoglio's slide lock instead of my S2 one. FFS!
  19. Hot damn. Nice! I thought you were getting the Stock III Xtreme?
  20. Mine is a large frame. From what I've been told, most of the North American imports are large frame.
  21. I ordered it from a local shop that orders it from Eric Grauffel's shop. I believe it's made by Unica. I think Patriot Defense carries it as well. My pics are hosted on Flickr.
  22. IIRC, last time I checked, DA was 5 3/4lbs, SA was 1 3/4lbs. I'll reconfim later when I get home. Ideally I wanted the trigger to be around 2 to 2 1/2lbs. I may put back the factory sear spring. I've seen some posts of people saying that their DA went down to just under 6lbs with a 13lb mainspring and I'm beating myself up trying to figure out why I'm just getting there by having to go all the way down to a 10lb mainspring.
