  1. On my S2, all the internal guts and pins have been polished. Currently running the following parts: 10lb mainspring 8lb recoil spring RP sear spring RP trigger spring RP firing pin spring Competition wide hammer 10x Bushing I just got a pre-B disco that I'll install this weekend. Honestly, I don't think I will see any accuracy improvement with the 10x bushing as my original bushing did not have much play to begin with.
  2. I just use either roll pin punches or pin punches to drive out the pins and a hockey puck as a bench block with drilled out holes for pin clearance. Heck, I've been known to use the duct tape roll as a bench block in the past.
  3. ^^^ good grief. And I thought Canada was bad in burying youin paperwork and cooling off waiting times. NL got us beat.
  4. Thanks. I'm in Canada. Nothing like a piece of paper to separate me from a criminal. Yesh...
  5. lol, yeah, they came with the extended T bases. I think earlier ones came with the smaller silver bases. Got some parts yesterday. I ordered an Xtreme sear and an Xtreme Pro semi-flat trigger. The sear had a dimple left over from the casting. I knocked that dimple down and also the edges of the sear edges so that they are sharp with some stoning. The trigger breaks nice like an icicle, just like my S2. I was going to go with a silver on black look, hence the silver ambi safety but the pro trigger only comes in black. I'll add a slide lock lever in silver as backup. All slicked up and ready to rock with an extended mag release. I'm just waiting for my papers so I can take it to the range. Ughhh!!!!
  6. Nice. Did you shoot these off a rest or just hand holding? What app is that? Thanks.
  7. Good to know. I made up some test loads of TiteGroup and CFE Pistol with 180gr pills. I'l chrony them next time I make it to the range.
  8. Awesome. Thanks. I was just concerned about beating up my frame shooting 180gr major PF.
  9. What recoil spring weight are you guys using for your 40SW major PF? Are you using buffers as well?
  10. My recent Limited Custom's barrel is like that.
  11. Stock III also has a rail dust cover while the Stock II does not.
  12. It's on the last page of the Shadow2 parts.
  13. That Unica two tone trigger is pretty wild looking. Here's my Ltd Custom when I first got her... And here she is nekkid an hour later....
  14. Hmmm, might have to look into those Unica hammers. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. I'm realizing that now. Good thing I decided to skip some of the Xtreme parts for now like the trigger bar etc. I looked at some videos and the guts is just like my Shadow 2. I had the Xtreme sear on backorder so I figured I'd keep it. I can't believe how much machine chatter are on the parts! Does the Xtreme parts have as much chatter compared to the nitrided ones?
  16. lol, yeah, found that out now. ? The ones I tried out all had nice triggers. The owners never mentioned that they had work done to them. It made for a nice project pistol but the price tag is adding up with all these Xtreme parts. Are all the ambi safeties kinda wonky as in they looked ever so slightly warped and they rub against the frame? I had to hit mine on the belt sander to knock off a few thou of an inch so it would float. Gotta luv mim parts.
  17. If you are in Canada, I know of a few stores that have Stock II in stock, inc the Aussie version.
  18. Postman dropped off my Limited Custom yesterday. Woohoo. She is a beauty, no doubt about that! Out of the box and for the amount of money paid, operating it was a bit disappointing. The trigger was gritty as heck and even working the slide was gritty like the pistol had sand in it. My Shadow 2 was much better out of the box. After 5hrs of polishing, deburring and stoning of parts, it's night and day difference compared to how it was originally. My Shadow 2 trigger still breaks a bit crisper than my Ltd Custom. I went from an almost 5lb trigger down to just over 3lb. I didn't stone the hammer because I was thinking of getting the Xtreme Titan. I installed an Xtreme firing pin, light firing pin and hammer springs. I'll run some CCI primers through her to confirm reliability before getting the Titan hammer. I ordered an Xtreme sear and semi-flat pro trigger today and should get that next week. I am super stoked to shoot her this season! I'll post pics when I get home.
  19. Awesome! Just what I wanted to hear! I guess I will be ordering a 9mm barrel now.
  20. Thanks! That gives ne a starting point for my load dev.
  21. Thanks. What caliber did you get yours in? I got the 40SW and got some Xtreme parts inbound as well. Gonna have to build up a load for major PF. I'm trying to find confirmation that a 9mm barrel will work in this slide for dual caliber pistol.
  22. Awesome!! Mine arrives tomorrow. I know what I'll be doing this weekend! :)

    New Shadow 2 stoppages

Guy on another forum had the exact same issues. He ended up replacing the extractor and an extra power extractor spring and the problem went away.
  24. I switched from 124gr to 147gr last season out of y S2. I've shot better scores with that combo so I ain't changing. Shoot what works for you.
