  1. I just got the Bul 1911 Classic and will be putting in some quality non MIMed parts. Wanted the Trophy Classic but OOS everywhere. Only issue is the Classic doesn't have adjustable rear sight so that maybe a no go for some. The Trophy Classic is about $700-$800 more. I figure after the upgrades the cost will be close between the two. Maybe another option to look into if you like tinkering and upgrading.
  2. I got the Techwell IPSC SP magwell, works and looks great! You will have to get their grips or modify your existing to use the magwell though. https://techwellusa.com/nickel-plated-techwell-ipsc-sp.html
  3. It's smooth from what I can tell. The rattling happens when the bolt hits the breach and the buffer slams into the buffer detent not during the cycling if that makes sense?
  4. I'm using the Taccom ULW buffer with a 20% reduce spring. Everytime it cycles there's a loud rattling noise. Any tips on how to reduce the rattling noise or does it come with using this buffer setup?
  5. I have an Omen slide on my G19 and it uses 4-40 x 1/4 screws.
  6. If you're going to be doing a lot of polishing and projects I suggest getting a Dremel with a power cord instead of a rechargeable one and a flexible shaft. It allows for more control especially with small parts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J2H4T31/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Thanks for the update! Will look into FA when I'm ready to mill out my slide. Enjoy your new optic!
  8. Let us know how your P365 slide turns out with the 407k. I'm thinking about getting mine milled out as well.
  9. Man I'm glad I did some research before ordering the K series. Was about to pull the trigger on one thinking it would use the RMR footprint, doh. Well with the Trijicon/Holosun lawsuit they may have to make their own foot print going forward.

    CZ SP01 Production

Check out videos from "abyss1232" on Youtube for polishing and installing CGW parts. His videos were really helpful when upgrading my CZs.
  11. I had the same issue with my G17 it turned out to be the slide stop/release spring. I bent the spring out to have more tension and it fixed it. Give it a shot before you buy a new one.
  12. Being in California I have a lot of Gen 3s and a few Gen 5s. I actually like the feel of the Gen 3s better with the finger grooves and blockier grips. All other things are not as important to me because I modify all my Glocks anyways (trigger, Magwell, grips, slide, etc..). If I were to compare them stock, the Gen 5s have a slightly better trigger. If you're a lefty go with Gen 5s for the ambi slide release and ability to swap mag release.
  13. I have Brownells slides on a few Glocks and haven't had any issues. You can catch them on sale for less than $200 at times and use discount codes for a good deal.

    ZEV OZ9

I wanted an OZ9 but after hearing all the issues think I'm staying away. Have a few Zev slides using their internals on a few Glocks, never had any issues. Disappointing for a $1500+ pistol with the Zev brand.
  15. OP, if you decide to get the Vertx CONTINGENCY DUFFEL 45L or any Vertx product directly from them, use code MO25 to get 25% discount.

    Ghost Connector

The Ghost Edge connector is the one with the rolling break, that's what I have in my Glocks. As others mentioned, you may have to play with the bend angle of the connector to make it work right with your Glock. Here's a comparison chart of the different connectors. https://ghostinc.com/the-pistol/ghost-manufactured-parts/ghost-connectors/glock-connectors/comparision-chart/
  17. I've had good luck running the Metalform 10 round mags on my Springfield Elite Operator 9mm. They can be had pretty cheap and includes small base pads if you decide to install a magwell.
  18. Check out Boyt gun cases. They were made in the USA, not sure about now. Still quality though and you can find them cheaper on Amazon than buying direct.
  19. I used Vedder LTs for my p365 and g43. They were good for AIWB however I recently switched to TXC X1 holsters and they're even more comfortable than the Vedders. They're minimalist holsters and have a built in wedge for better concealment.
  20. Congrats, you got a great deal and a rare exception. I'm sure your gen4 will fetch a good price.
  21. Hey now, every newb's dream (me included) is to be able to post threads in the classifieds lol
  22. I use Weapon Shield gun oil on my handguns and a little grease on the BCG on my ARs. I find grease works better and lasts longer on ARs but I make sure to clean it often cause of build up.
  23. You should see how much gen 5s are going for. For a good laugh check out calguns handgun market. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/forumdisplay.php?f=332
