  1. Slide did not go back far enough on light load to reset? Also will not fire if slide is not all the way in battery.
  2. Decibullz! Remoldable, several different inserts, even Bluetooth headphone inserts. Drop them in hot water to soften the outer core. Inner inserts are replaceable.
  3. I second the magnet. Ammo..... lot's of it! Guess you got all the usual range equipment? Mag loader, range bag etc? Hundo case gage for all the ammo you will be shooting! I finally ordered the CED/DAA Range pack. Congratulations!
  4. Oh man you went over to the "Dark Side"! Hope it works great for you. Having a pistol that runs is so fun after you have been fighting it!
  5. Do you plan on trying to get all 3 lugs touching or just the first one? On mine I got first and second lug with 3rd lug just a kiss away. Some people get really anal here and some people get a good first lug face engagement and move on. If you get a good hood length measurement of your slide and transfer that o your barrel, then you have a good place to start for a measurement of your 1 degree cut on the end of the slide. You can start with a few thousandths clearance and keep working on it as you fit it. I can not imagine having to do that without my mill!
  6. Bare slide is made long to allow for fitting. Also since the barrel has a tilt at lockup, the front of the slide should be milled at a 1 degree angle. Also keep in mind you have 2 things going on to fit here. Barrel hood! That has to be right as well and lug engagement. This is where you have to measure everything really well. You are fitting hood and lugs on one end, andslide face/compensator on the other... That 1 degree angle would be tough with no mill. I had to remove almost forty thousandths from the front of my CK slide to match the Trubore I used.
  7. My Brazos measures .320 from tip of ejector to the edge at the mag tunnel.
  8. Can you measure the length? I will let you know the Brazos length.
  9. Did you actually get the Brazos or just file yours? The Brazos is longer than most. I would try that before 90 degree mount. I got the Brazos and an offset mount like a Cheelie. No more issues. Unfortunately I installed both at same time. So I have no idea which fixed it. I really did not want to to do the 90 degree ones.
  10. I never zero my pistol from a rest because I never shoot from a rest. Everytime I tried, it induced weird recoil that would be different from my shooting grip.
  11. I have a 32" barrel Cynergy that will never leave my possession. Love it or hate it for the looks, but for SC""s it is my favorite gun. I can shoot several 100 Rd courses over the weekend and still be in good shape Monday morning. Before USPSA took over my time, I would shoot a lot. About 400 Rds a week for awhile in practice and then a course on the weekend. I love Clay's but believe it was more expensive than my USPSA habit. X2 on the fit. If it fits, you will get the hits.
  12. First match running the MBX mag. First match with no issues since I started shooting Open in January. Happy camper. I wasted enough time and money on the Gen 2 STI 170 to have bought another MBX...
  13. Is it always the same mag? Put an empty mag in, rack the slide and see if it holds open. Could be mag issue as well.
  14. Gun ran perfect for the whole match yesterday! So nice to not have any equipment issues. Placed very well, third in open, 8th overall out of 75 shooters. No ejection issues, no mag issues and the great thing was with 9 Major I could leave the brass on the ground! Too damn hot to crawl around looking for brass.
  15. I just built my first open 9major 2011 last fall. The MBX price was steep, Soo bought 2 STI Gen 2 140's and one 170. Nothing but trouble. TT base pads and Gram's guts. Got the 140's running reliable but never the 170. Followed Atlas's directions on the Gen 2 mods and it fixed the 140's but I would still get nosedives once every 2-300 Rd and that always seemed to be in a match. Broke down and bought a MBX 170. Should have done that first. So far so good. First match with new mag is this weekend.
  16. Have 5 full mags ran through it so far no issues. A match will be the true test. That will be Saturday if weather holds. I really like the ejector so far. It is long! I seat my 9 Major loads long and a 38 Super might not clear an unfired round. The bevel cut on the inside clears the magazine and the next round. Should have done it sooner.
  17. Unfortunately theirs is one of them. Their customer service is great though. They are exchanging it.
  18. I like the bigger window of the slide ride and the first major match I attended shooting CO I watched 2 of the RTS2's die midmatch. Too expensive for the reliability issues o have saw. I would run my Vortex before an RTS
  19. Two matches now and one stove pipe and one mag issue. Better but not 100%. So I have a brand new MBX 170 and a tuned Brazos ejector. MBX loaded to 29rds has zero gaps between bullets and the Brazos extended ejector looks really good . Had an Ed Brown ejector that was supposed to be extended but is actually pretty short. Going to range today.
  20. Ordered slide stops for 2011 labled as .200 pin. Measured .198. Two reputable brands from different places. They both are making them good, but is still frustrating. Wonder how many are brand labled vs actually made by them?
  21. Sweet! I want to try one of the new CK ergo grips. Nice pistol, jealous.
  22. I would think that since the slide is the "disposable" item, I had rather take it from the slide? .010 would not bother me. Where do you need to take .113 from???
