  1. Not yet. Working on a cnc conversion. Just starting to think about a DIY frame, I love doing all my own stuff. All manual mill right now. Takes a lot of concentration and a good plan!
  2. Billet from bar stock etc. L10 is pricey for their 80%.
  3. Anyone done it? Thinking about mapping one out and giving it a try.
  4. As firm a believer in Kroil as I am (30+years in industrial mechanics), It did nothing for my lead build up in my comp. Let it soak in a cup of it for a day, and it still was hard as heck to remove. Brake fluid for carbon removal? Hmm...
  5. I like 155's starting out classifiers with a reload . Little heavier and drops easier. Rarely use my 140's as I can not tell the difference in reload times. I do keep the 140 on the belt to pony up if needed. Love it when a gamble pays off. Started a 30 round stage with 30 Rds. RO asked if I had enough. Told him "just enough". It worked...that time anyway.
  6. I did the electrolysis removal of the lead. It worked, but took awhile and a little messy. There are 2000 Precision Delta 124's on the bench that arrived yesterday! Not looking back!
  7. I got it all cleaned up. No lead now, but was too time consuming. Never liked the idea of blasting the comp. So, I just ordered some Precision Delta hp's. For some reason, my PCC comp cleans up much easier than my open pistol. I will save my Blue Bullets for my CO pistol.
  8. Do you leave the finish matte? Believe I am just going to Precision Delta...
  9. Those are 30 minutes away at my shop. Still they did not do as well as I thought.
  10. That was after about 2 hours. Higher wattage charger might work faster. This was what came out. Lead crap! Then back in for more.
  11. Ok, I shoot coated bullets in 9 Major. Lead build up in comp is a fact of life . Not ready to spend the more on jacketed bullets so how do you clean... Tried this home brew electrolysis and it is working! USB phone charger, 5volts, 250 mA. Some wire and a copper bore brush, cleaning vinegar . Negative to the brush and positive to the barrel. No need for rod in barrel like the Outers fancy job.
  12. Should have noted mine were the 9/38 mags. Not 40
  13. I know Walther has one, but I don't shoot Walthers. There is the Blue Bullets program I know of, but any one else? Be nice if some of the places that take my money on a regular basis had programs!
  14. Have you guys really used the laser in competition? Thought about it, but just can't see in my mind how I would benefit. No one I shoot with uses one? Got any stage videos of using one?
  15. After trying to get 3 Gen2 mags to run reliably, I gave up. The 140's I will still use for steel matches. Bought a MBX big stick and not a single hiccup. Just bought a 155 and ran a match straight out of the wrapper. I know they are pricey, but so is my time, gas and money wasted for 5 months of matches on the the Gen 2.
  16. Weak firing pin spring and slam a magazine in during mag change?
  17. Also, if you are on a budget, check out the Husky rolling tool bags at Home Depot. REAL nice!
  18. I have the AA Range pack medium size and it is worth every dime! Got a few clear tackle box type deals from Home Depot for the two side compartments and it is awesome. My range back bece a black hole. Now everything is organized and has a place.
  19. If you don't want the vertical 90 degree mount, Cheelie also makes an offset mount that moves it over to the left. I made mine and it has cured the 9 Major issues, along with a Brazos ejector.
  20. Grease is oil with a carrier (thickener, usually a soap) added. Grease can have any viscosity of oil in it. So therefore grease is offered in different grades or viscosities. I do really like the Slide Glide and have it in the different "weights". I also have an "oil pen" that has Mobil 1 in it for a drop on the Disconnector etc.
  21. I love mine, but I did have to mill some of the back to get a shorter length. But that is one of the things I liked. It had enough material for me to set it up like I wanted!
  22. Thanks guys! Shot my first falling steel match today! Had a blast. So fun having a pistol that runs! No issues since the new mount (and ejector).
  23. I run a vertical fore end grip and shoot with the thumb forward. Love it. Tune your load . I run about a 130 PF and it really is nice. Shot an MBX the other day with my ammo for comparison. The MBX was a little softer, but not by much. Not enough to sale my scorpion and buy another rifle! Run a different mag realease, I made mine on my mill. I also throated my barrel a little deeper, done a little work on my magwell also. I will keep my scorpion now that I have shot it a bunch. I have beaten all the other brands and been beaten by them as well.
