I put 400 rounds through it yesterday when I got it Hopefully I will be able to do it some justice when I go down to Area 6. I definately won't be able to blame my gun if I don't shoot well!

I started shooting USPSA last April and by the end of the season, I was completely hooked and ready to take the plunge to buy a true custom Limited gun. After doing some research, talking to people, fondling a few guns, I decided that Dan and Chuck had just the gun to fit my wants, a Spitfire. I placed my order in September and impatiently waited. Well, For Valentines Day yesterday, I got my new Bedell blaster! I wasted no time grabbing a few hundred rounds and heading off to the range to get a feel for it. The only sight adjustments that I had to make were 2 clicks up. It ran flawlessly and is absoluetly the softest shooting gun I have ever fired. I would rank it up there with minor PF .40 loads through my production gun (XD Tactical). The trigger breaks as clean and crisp as a glass rod. I even questioned whether it was truly 2 lbs. but he assures me that it is. Fit and finish are second to none, so elegant that I almost was afraid to shoot it. Dan's attention to detail and communication with my wants and needs were superb. I would highly recomend his guns to anyone looking for a new Blaster! He may even get another order in April for an open gun for my wife. (she already wants to steal my new Limited gun). Enough rambling from me, here are the pictures. Thanks Dan, You DA MAN!

I have 4 STI Dawson tuned mags with Dawson guts and +1 basepads and can get 19 reloadable, 1 of them is 20 reloadable if I tap it around just right while im loading it up. 2 other STI mags have Grams guts with factory pads and are 19 reloadable, I plan to put Grams pads on them.

I have a plastic grocery bag hanging from the end of my bench thats a trash can, everything that doesn't come out right, goes in there and then to the dumpster. I had an upside down primer tonight....bullets, primers, cases are too cheap to try and salvage 1 or 2 components out of every so many thousand loaded.

I think we will sit that one out and just shoot sunday night at Sim. Sim-Trainer is heated

hmmmmmm, I did not know that I used some small rifle primers for production loads and they worked fine, no breech face erosion that I could detect, but it was probably only 2000 rounds, not 15,000.

You can only buy a factory built XD with the Barsto Mag release if its a custom shop built "production ready XD". The guns coming from Croatia do not come with Barsto Mag releases. It is my understanding that you can swap out an extended mag release on a Glock because Glock puts the mag release in factory guns. Does the custom shop XD have a special model number or any designation engraved into the gun???? If not, then I would think this would be an illegal mod. Why would the factory be able to install an aftermarket mag release but not the customer and it be legal?? This one could give you a headache debating it...

I always thought the rifle primers seated harder (a tad bigger?) And the only other downfall is that rifle primers are a tad harder than pistol.

I read somewhere that +P brass is no different than standard brass, they only stamp it +P for load designation purposes.

A guy I know bought a used 550 as well that had just the springs. He called dillon for the same reasons you noted and they shipped him the failsafe rod at no charge (if im not mistaken). Give them a call and maybe they will do the same. They are really good follks.
