I bought a second hand Dillon 550B and tonight was my first attempt at reloading (ever). I think I loaded 10 pretty good development rounds but my questions are: I was wondering if using ramtac causes the powder bar to stick on the return because of the small size of the grains, (it doesn't have the fail safe rod) ? second, the top part of the measure has quite a bit of play in it is this OK? I would appreciate any input you all may have for this newbie, Thanks in advance. Jim

This info is good to know, I guess everyone has there own opinions and ways of doing things. It sounds like the ammo the 550 makes will surpass what I am capable of doing with it. Thanks Jim

Wow!!! first post, and of course the Newbie question. I have just ordered a 550B set up and I have heard on a few of the boards that you can not make precision ammo with a progressive, how true is that? Should I also look into a single stage press for any reason? Thanks in advance Jim
