  1. I always thought the Air Force has it right, They stay in the rear and send their officers to fight! What were we thinking. My brother 11 years in the AF and he never stayed anywhere while he was tdy except hotels. Man what was I thinking?
  2. That looks like fun, what is the attrition rate of the Air Force Academy?
  3. I think starting with production would be a good idea, learn iron sights first to me open is easier to learn (kinda)
  4. Kids and flamibles are a bad idea, especially when they find out how to make a tennis ball cannon with lighter fluid, only to subsitute lighter fluid with gasoline, only to spill some on there legs, only to manage to ignite it, then run around in panic with your legs on fire. Some how stop drop and roll never crossed my mind. My leg hair grew back after the amazing 360 degree blisters healed. My parents never did find out why I wore long pants that summer. Oh to be 10 again and dummer than a box of hammers.
  5. Everyone's vision is obviously diffrent but I have 20-400 vision in my left eye and good vision in my right eye, I have a aimpoint comp on my saiga shot gun which fixed my weak hand shooting with my shot gun, I still haven't tried it with my AR yet. If I don't use the aimpoint, I end up looking about 3 inches over my barrel, I tried shooting that way once at a IDPA match and it didn't go very well. I shoot everything with both eyes open, even if one dosen't work very well. I did have a good shot gun stage last Sunday where I started left handed shot half the course switched to right handed and finished it.
  6. When I switched to amsoil in my car with 150k the guy said I might see increased oil usage because it cleans the carbon off of the engine block and if your rings are worn, it can cause increase burning. Mine did not it ran cooler no oil usage I run Amsoil fully synthetic 0w30, with an amsoil filter you can go up to 35 thousand miles or 1 year under normal conditions, this is the best oil on the market. http://www.amsoil.com/testimonials/index.aspx
  7. I just saw the results Ben you didn't win TOP PRODUCTION in 2 stages, stage 4 and stage 9 WTH man bad day or what? Good Job!
  8. Yes it is pretty flat I only tested them on a 12 " steel plate but I was double tapping it as fast as I could pull the trigger at around 10 to 15 yards and keeping it on the steel, my main goal was to chrono them so i did not test them much. They are a little flatter and a little louder than my 165's. I should have tried a bill drill on the steel at various distances that might be a good test of the load. with definitive results.
  9. Right your are! He plays like Via too. ..that is part of their hook "metal country"...?...They mostly played covers this night. They do a good Rocky Mountain Way too! And Yes I'm too old...cause it was too loud Those aren't cowboy hats...they are Nashville-boy hats. The drummer looks like a geico caveman...so I took a little artistic liberty...so easy even a drummer can do it. I have heard a lot of bass Guitar Jokes, but that was funny right there!
  10. Ben its only May, you need to go to Texas in august, its just that your blood is to thick it seems like Wisconsin only has about 90 days of spring winter and fall, the rest is all winter. we have proof with your shootig videos. Do you know why there are not any videos of other people practicing in the winter? Because it is to cold!
  11. You have that slow one in there at 1086fps, but it still makes 168+ pf. Other than that, your lows are looking good for 170+ pf. You could probably slow it down a bit, but I doubt you'd really notice it while shooting. If you aren't getting any signs of pressure...it might be a good idea maintain a cushion to make sure you don't go Minor. Ok I will keep them right here then, I just switched from HS6 and 165 gr bullets, these 155's with autocomp are quite a bit louder, maybe sharper.
  12. 155 FMJ Montana gold bullet WSP 6.8 grains Winchester Autocomp G35 open Glock 1126 1137 1130 1121 1104 1116 1127 1106 1086 1108 High 1137 low 1086 ES 51 PF 173 AVG 1116 I have a question Does this look like a good load or can I slow it down?

    G17 for Limited

I shot limited with a 17 for just that reason, I hated 10 rd magazines, then I bought a 35 and switched to 40, being scored in minor made a pretty big diffrence in my score but it was fun shooting with soft loads, I shot faster than shooting major but not fast enough to account for the lower points. I studdied it quite a bit while I was doing it. If you could hit A zone shots....fast you could do it. My sigths were a little slow because I had fiber optics all the way around. My g35 has a skinny front sight and I am much faster getting a sight picture and more accurate with it. It was fun shooting minor limited but as soon as I picked up my 35 my Hit factor went up.
  14. Yes my biggest issue with IDPA is wanting to reload when I move, regardles of rounds left in mag, My biggest problem after shooting IDPA and shooting USPA is slicing the pie on baracades instead of leaning far enough (if possible) to see all targets and shooting them with out moving my torso.
  15. Heres a critique, I dont like cowboy hats!
  16. Just read the rules so you understand the game, no matter how many your gun holds you can only load 10 rounds in the mag, there are rules to for where your holster and mag pouched go, you will need around 5 magazines with pouches. Thats all of the big ones not already discussed on this thread. Make sure what ever gun you use is on the approved preoduction list.
  17. Just before you pulled the trigger did you yell out "HEY YA'LL WATCH THIS"
  18. that was my favorite show to tivo, that blows!
  19. People like you and your boss always make a difference do they get credit for it? Usually not in the short term, you need to be able to take satisfaction in the job you are doing and the people's live's you are influencing, will you get the same personal rewards at your next position? probably not. But to quote Joe Dirt "You got to keep on keeping on" sounds like you got the right stuff you have to keep performing and look for opportunities to make a difference. The important thing is that you care, don't let work politics dissallusion you and change that.
  20. Im guessing the national park issue was to get a wider vote on the credit card thing, I could be wrong but it seems like thats how our laws work, what do you want to vote yes on this unrelated issue.
