  1. Would also recommend the Criterion 18" Barrel. Switched to that last year and have no regrets, it's awesome. Criterion actually recommends the loctite method in their videos, I think it was green so did that. For a comp, I really like the SJC Titan Extreme. It's not cheap but very soft and can be somewhat tuned. Immediately behind the gun I don't notice any difference in volume level. Not the same for shooters to the side. I have also used a JP 3 port on one of their full builds which was also very nice. Coda Evolution makes a light carbon fiber handguard in 15". Slim can be a matter of perspective but they seem slim to me.
  2. Are the primers feeding upside down from the primer slide? I had an issue with mine where timing was off and the primers would flip between the slide and actually seating. Might be worth checking out timing if the are all feeding properly in the primer slide.
  3. I dump mine in the landscaping rocks around the house. In the very off chance it would hurt anything, I don't want anything the grow there anyways so win win.
  4. Yes, I have both the 5.56 version and recently added the 9mm version. Love them both. Very minimal recoil and with the removable screws for the top ports, also little if any muzzle rise.
  5. About 15 yards but might change that. Had to engage steel at 200 yards at a recent 3 Gun match so a longer zero might help a bit.
  6. No holsters direct, but some mag pouches that are solid. A couple local junior shooters have his gear and it's solid. I know he can do retention via a hood with a thumb rest so adding a light might not be out of the question.
  7. Checkout FS Tactical. Think he has a mold for the Atlas and can build what you need but you might have to call as options for custom might not be online.
  8. Not sure if sold outside eBay, but seller snowshooze sells many upgrades. I have the premium performance improvement kit which seems to have smoothed things out a bit.
  9. From what I hear the crew prefers Tito's vodka! Yes, building these takes time, but they are awesome shooters and well worth the wait. Absolutely the softest shooting 2011 on the market. Try one out if you get a chance, guarantee you will not be disappointed. Everyone that has run mine has loved it.
  10. Not plated, but I load 115 JHP with 5.6gr CFE which makes a 132 power factor it my setup. For reference, 5.8gr CFE was a 138 power factor so you might not have to step down much for powder to get your desired power factor.
  11. Also keep in mind many people are getting custom serial numbers. For only $25, a lot of people could be going that route so production may be much higher.
  12. 2nd vote for Range Panda. Have one for my 507c that works great.
  13. Not familiar with the GX, but had a similar problem after adding a thumb rest. Ended up making my own. I know FS Tactical has several options including retention that can be done with a thumb rest. Not sure if listed on his website but he's good on the phone if you need something not listed. Might be worth checking them out.
  14. That's my setup. Figured the dot on the EDC would likely not help much in a short range defensive situation. Per a chat with the FBI neighbor, most likely scenario to be in is a point and shoot vs having time to aim. Also let me put more dots on the competition setups.
  15. An alternative solution, with a Dillon 750 and 9mm, it's very easy to physically look in each case for powder prior to the bullet feeder step. That's my current process for several thousand rounds. Was uneasy coming from another brand press so initially wanted the same setup you mentioned. Since options are limited, the eyeball test seems to work fine for me.
  16. Doesn't directly answer your question, but might help. I tried several boxes of 1 1/8 Winchester AA 1145 in mine which would have issues every 3rd shell. With the ones you are looking at being lighter, don't think these will work out for you but each gun is a little different.
  17. Had a similar issue, Dillon sent me a new motor assembly as they had some bad ones go out at one point. The new assembly fixed my problem.
  18. 24c works great in my pcc. I had a minor issue with hammer follow after several thousand rounds and Hyperfire sent me parts to remedy the issue at no charge. I had an early trigger and they made a couple minor tweaks, gotta love when a company stands behind their product! Regarding the shoe being too wide to make the rules, just take it off. I liked the triggers I have with the shoe on, but love them now without the shoe. For me, they now have a much better feel.
  19. I also had him build me a short block and was very happy with the result, timeframe, and service. Turned out very tight and a great upgrade from the STI I was running before building this one.
  20. Not sure if this is the specific reason but participation here has taken a nose dive since last year. Local 3 Gun matches used to have 95 shooters, last match was only 28. Sure there are several variables.
  21. An easy fix to the PTX sticking. Take some Hornady One Shot lube and spray it on your brass in a bucket that you can put a lid on. Shake it around and let it sit for a while. The brass will then load much better on the PTX as I was having the exact same problem and this fixed it. Good luck!
  22. Another suggestion, did you happen to change primers? Or make any changes to your gun? I had a similar issue that I chased forever that ended up being I had too light a trigger to ignite the primers I was using and had to switch primers and start reloading. Prior to that I was using factory ammo and had a failure rate closer to 1 in 20.
  23. I prefer the Weber. Been using my Honcho exclusively in 3 Gun so wanted the hood and like their new mounting system. Will likely pick up one of their USPSA gamer holsters before winter leagues kick off. I sold off the RHT on here due to how much I like the Weber finish and mounting.
  24. You just need a 5.4". Red Hill Tactical and Weber Tactical both make them in this size and believe they both have Honcho molds as mine came out great from both companies.
