  1. Thanks, appreciate it. I think this one is in good shape but I honestly don't really know what I'm looking for. I cleaned it with a non-ammonia cleaner when I bought the gun and that's been the extent of my interaction with it. I guess I should know this, but are all Ti 8-shot cylinders cut for moons?
  2. Hey spinnygunners, I've been shooting wheelies for a couple years now and decided to try and improve in earnest (finally). Obviously a lot of what we shoot is double-taps on paper and that's also one of the things that's harder with a revo than a bottom feeder, so I was wondering if anyone had specific drills or strategies they use to increase speed and accuracy? Shooting as fast as I can, I can get both shots into a 6" target at 13 yards, but they tend to both be low and not exactly impressive groups. I suppose I can just keep doing it until I improve on trigger pull and I learn where the sights should be when I break the second shot but I figured smarter people than me might have better approaches... Any help appreciated!
  3. Out of curiosity, what's the going rate on a 8-shot Ti cylinder? My new to me TRR8 came with one and I'm trying to weight out if I want to use it or stick with the steel one.
  4. Kidding aside, a 4" version would make a great IDPA gun.
  5. Awesome! The Pro is the DA/SA model, right? Was the trigger necessary to help with the SA pull or just the DA?
  6. First, sorry if this is a double post - I tried searching but the combination of "Witness" and "Match" turns up quite a few hits. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Witness P Match (the single-action version)? I'm specifically interested in the shape and size of the frame. As an individual of the sausage-fingered variety, I tend to have problems shooting the larger-framed EAA's and even some CZ's. Obviously the metal frame guns will be better for recoil mitigation but I'm not overly concerned about it in a nearly-2lb 9mm platform. Any other thoughts appreciated!
  7. Ah, I get you now. Don’t worry, you’re dealing with shooters - if they weren’t bitching about that, it would be something else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I was thinking that it wouldn't be the worst idea to make the tablets easier to track, haha. Drop me a PM?
  9. Hey all! I'm running matches using Kindle Fire HD 6's. The color screens and responsiveness of the devices are awesome, but the high-gloss screens can be problematic in the Colorado sun. Has anyone found sun shades that work with their scoring devices? Amazon has a bunch of them that look great and are quite cheap, but they're all designed to be used in landscape format rather than portrait.
  10. I believe all the 9mm's do. You could also reach out to Armscor if you want 100% validation.
  11. I'm a "C" challenging a "GM". Not really, lol. I'm 99% sure that I can shoot faster than Pat. The difference is, he would hit something.
  12. Challenge accepted. See you Sunday?
  13. Haha, no worries! That's one thing I enjoy about IDPA and ICORE - you can't burn down a stage shooting alpha/charlies and beat someone who went somewhat slower and shot all A's.
  14. I get that. I just saw an opening for a humorous(?) anecdote and took it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You’re not wrong. It’s funny how the “realistic” game needs so many extra rules to make it competitive. Not realistic, mind you, because I guess it’s only realistic to carry magnum rounds in moons but not standard PF. Coz... reasons. It makes it literally impossible to use a 9mm revolver. Again, I guess 9mm is ONLY sufficient protection in SSP, ESP, BUG, CO, and PCC... but put it in a revo and suddenly it loses ALL stopping power. Or something. And 8-shot revolvers OBVIOUSLY don’t exist in the wild despite S&W making a snubnose 627 (to say nothing of 4” guns). Sigh. All my whining aside, those are the rules of the game and I’ll stick to them when I play it. It gives me more time behind a wheel gun so I’ll take it. Plus... I look damn good in a vest. 16. ORLY?! Because the last IDPA match I was at, I was immediately informed I was cheating because I was using moonclips. Ignoring that it was perfectly legal since I was shooting magnum power factor, IDPA revo is such a weird beast - less barrel, less ammo, twice the power compared to most divisions. They must have been dealing with some really fast revo shooters when they were writing the rules given the Harrison Bergeron-type limitations they imposed on the division. Anyway, I've just always liked revolvers with no real reason as to why. ICORE L6 is my favorite division because I like the feel of an L-frame more than an N, but I've finally settled on some agreeable N grips for ICORE Limited and USPSA.
  17. Huh. You know, I thought I had to use magnum cases in order to use moons. Re-reading the rules, I’m not clear if that’s actually the case. It wouldn’t take a lot of speed to get these to 155 PF... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks! Those would definitely bring the thump. I guess now I have to figure out if they'll even fit inside my cylinder...
  19. Like the title says, trying to find a manufacturer for a 180+ grain round nose bullet. I have a .357 load for IDPA that I really enjoy, but it uses the MBC 180gr "Striker" and the flat nose is killing me on reloads. I've gone down to SNS 160's in the interim but I'd love to get back to heavy and slow (just like me)!
  20. Not trying to naysay, but if you haven't bought moons yet, get ones sized for Starline and then just but corresponding brass. It's a little pricey new, but you can reload it a whole bunch and order Special/Mid/Short brass turnkey without worrying about trimming. The right moons will let you cycle between lengths as much as you want, so you can shoot Spl while working up a Mid load, etc.

    P320 X5 Thread

Mine is a 3 MOA. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to compete with it yet so I don’t know how much I’ll like/dislike it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    P320 X5 Thread

I just did this and yes, the Springer plate works with the Venom. This one: https://shop.springerprecision.com/Springer-Precision-P320-X5-Burris-Docter-Venom-adapter-plate-SP0223.htm
  23. I'd appreciate it if you happen to check. I just picked up a full-size medium but I'm still curious as to how the compact compares (I'm one of the rare idiots who prefers the standard ergos to the X5's).
  24. Hey all, I apologize if this has been asked but I can't find any clear answers online. Do the Full Size Medium and Compact Medium P320 grip modules have the same circumference / trigger reach and the Compact is just shorter? Or are they actually shaped differently? Thanks!
