  1. New to open. My screws keep coming loose on my cmore mount/gogun pedal. I have used red lock tite several times and they eventually back loose. My locktite is old so that could be it. Is this a normal occurrence with opens guns or maybe I need a fresh batch of locktite? What you guys using to keep ur mounts in place and do they always end up loose again?
  2. Good info thanks guys. Think I’ll get her the 2.5 dot. Was concerned it could be too small of a dot considering I shoot a 6moa on my rts2. I did have the 7.5 moa triangle back in the day and that thing was ridiculous big. Another random question...I have a 34 and a 17 I could have milled to setup for CO...seems to me the longer 34 vs the 17 would be a mute point as the sight radius length doesn’t matter so that’s why I was thinking 17. But then maybe less recoil with the 34....Any input on this guys?
  3. So I have a g17 that I’m thinking about setting up for carry optics for the wife. Leaning towards a delta point since Leupold does some nice military discounts. Wondering what dot size most recommend (I run a 6 moa on my open gun but see the dpp sizes are different) any newbie carry optics tips/advise welcome. Thanks
  4. I just bought the wife a 43 a few weeks ago. I put the new trijicon hd night sights on it ....the ones with the new skinner front sight post and orange around the tridium. Seems to be a good balance to use in a match and for carry. I put the Glock triggers.com 43 trigger....the one with the reduced pre travel and that made a world of a difference. Lastly I put on the tungsten guide rod and Vickirs mag release. I’m quite pleased with this baby Glock. If I was gonna shoot it/carry it I would get the taran carry stipple cuz that little gun is pretty slick. I havnt shot a gssf in years but I always roll wirh 147 gr in 9 mm...the less snappy recoil is better for faster follow ups.
  5. Worked my way to Lim A class then had to take a year off off due to deployment..so I’m just getting back into shooting (switching to open too) and currently getting back into my routine to get back into game shape. I like to start with a few shots at a white paster from 7-10yds to polish the fundamentals and aiming small. Then i move to draw and shoot 1 a few times. Then onto draw shoot 2. Next up is the Bill drill. Then onto the Blake drill. Then my personal favorite the accelerator/decelator and for this the furthest target set at around 40yds(really helps those 25’s look super big) all the previous mentioned is my usual core drills. After all that it’s on to movement drills and some match type scenarios which vary each time...maybe something I saw in a match or expect in an upcoming match. Lastly I always try to finish with a little strong/weak hand. This is kind of a general flow that I typically follow...obviously vary it up...try something new to keep your self and the insurgency guessing ? I like to practice with others to learn new drills and routines etc when the opportunity arises.
  6. I think it’s an 8...whatever comes on the CK arms open guns. Not really sure how I could tell but the dot is pretty big so I’m guessing an 8
  7. Crickets....Guess I’m crazy ? anyways Said hell with it and bought some from brownells since I have special pricing with them
  8. Thanks for the info guys...pretty much what I was expecting and wanting to do...have a backup that is zerod enough to be worth having a backup in a pinch. Waiting to hear back from c more if they do mil sales. Leoupold does some deals where their stuff is basically half off for mil/Leo sales...man if c more does that I’ll have a backup for the backup ?
  9. Hi guys...new to open. Question. If I remove my RTS2 from the mount and then put it back on how jacked up, if any, will the zero be? The reason I ask is I’m wondering if I get a spare site could I swap them to zero it and then have a back up zerod and ready to roll?
  10. What’s the deal with Accurate #7 availability? The reasonably priced places (mid south, midway, powder valley) have been out of stock for awhile. See some at some other random places for quite a bit higher prices but rather not pay ridiculous mark up fees if I don’t have to. New to number 7 so is this out of stock thing normal, seasonal cuz of popularity...or am I just crazy ?
  11. Wow u went straight to a lvl 2 first time open! I’ve had an open gun a few weeks now but only practice with it...sooner or later I’ll get to a match with it but it won’t be a lvl two ?
  12. Just like the title says...moving soon. Have searched and found a few threads in regards to shooting USPSA in and around the Savannah, GA area. The threads are a bit old so just looking to hear from some folks that have shot around that area recently. Moving from Fort Rucker, AL so I'm happy to be staying in area 6 at least.
  13. Nope shipping to Dillon is on our dime....more like quarter cuz the boxes are so dam big
  14. I am a high C production shooter....wanna know how got to B class? I switched to Limited!? Less mag changes, no more planning stages around 8-10 rounds, major scoring....what's not to love! ?
  15. Follow up...have ran several hundred rounds through with no issues. Thanks again Dillion, I'm back in business! ?
  16. Thanks for the info Dillon! My tracking shows the package is at home waiting for me.....can't wait to get home and get the case feeder up and running again. Hope this thread helps anybody out that may come across the issue. As frustrating as it was thanks to Dillon for excellent customer service!
  17. Loaded on a 550 for 5-6 years...finally made the switch to the 650...I should've done it years ago!
  18. I got tracking info email so the case feeder is on its way back....called Dillon to see what the issue was but they said they don't record what the issues are they just fix stuff and send it back.....so unless there is a note in the box I will never know....???
  19. I run the egw undersize die....and case gauge all ammo. Loaded 6k plus of 40 for the ol 2011 using range rando brass on my shiny new 650. I look down into the case after it comes out of the powder station. I've seen a few that seemed to have more powder and found the cause was dirt in the bottom of the case.... although it's a fraction of a percent based on the volume it makes me sleep better night to see the powder lvl before putting a hat on it
  20. Is my reloading luck that bad....certainly somebody else has had a similar issue???
  21. So I'm new to the 650 after years of loading on a 550. Loaded 6k of 40 and 4k of 9 in the first month of owning it, no issues. Decided I was gonna get setup for 223. I have not had any luck as the case feeder won't feed 223. Brass gets stuck under the shell sorter plate and jams up. Talked to Dillon last week. Learned my blue hopper was warped and the gap on the right side of the marchine(if ur standing in front of it looking at it) was allowing the cases to get underneath the plate. They sent me a new one and it arrived today. Swapped the motor stuff out and same @&$! It won't sort 223 cuz the gap is still there and it jams up! Now I am sending them the entire unit back (on my dime) with the shell plate for them to look at. Can my luck be that bad to get 2 warped hoppers? Am I crazy? Is there anybody out there that has dealt with this? Love this machine but this case feeder is really starting to piss me off. Dumped a bunch of money into getting all the bells and whistles to process and load 223 but if the case feeder won't run it's all worthless. Somebody talk me off the ledge please! ?
  22. I bought 2 identical ck arms lim guns with metal grips. I ended up selling the metal grips and putting polymer on. I didn't like how heavy they were....not too mention how cold those suckers are in the winter time. The recoil difference was barely noticeable to me.
  23. I have had the M&P (the first one listed for several years) carry it all the time. Haven't shot a match with it yet but it's on my list of things to do. I will tell u that I don't shoot 357 out of it. Once you try it you will know why. That thing kicks like a mule with 357 in! I just carry 38's in it.
  24. some sort of forum badges will get folks to contribute. The Powerstroke forum does that and I saw lots of members sporting that badge
  25. Well I loaded up 6k of 40. I chronod a batch every 2k rounds and everything checked out consistently. I suppose a back up plan if something were to change i.e. PF etc I would just have a bunch of practice rounds. I saw a shooting buddy not make chrono at this years Lim nationals and wouldn't wish this on anybody. If I ever go to nationals again I would probably make a fresh batch just for peace of mind. I sure love this 650 and am in the process of switching everything over and selling off my 550 stuff. ?
