  1. Nice! I do something very similar with just use everclear vs rum. Ill give this a shot! Thanks!
  2. Nice, PM me the recipe if you dont mind (apple pie). For scotch I love a well aged Glendronach or even Aberlour. Any Four Square rum is a winner for me... Have a lot of all the brown liquors:)!
  3. Im a big fan of Rum and Scotch as well! What are your favorites there?
  4. Blantons is fantastic! Two big problems... 1. Its getting hard to find 2. Its getting expensive. Right now in our area its around $80 bucks... Otherwise yes, its a solid bottle that I enjoy a lot!
  5. If its a spring issue, you can email TT and send pics of the spring. They will send you out a new one.
  6. Yes, since I had them apart I almost just did it. This damn cold weather here has me not wanting to even move... plus my tools are in the garage... its -20right now.
  7. If Jamo is your thing and you really enjoy Irish Whiskey then maybe thats just where you are at right now!! I would highly highly recommend grabbing a bottle of Red Breast 12 and sipping that! Jamo is fine for the price but doesnt hold a candle to the RB. As for Bourbon... I would suggest something thats proofed down a bit! Maybe start with something cheap and simple like Elijah Craig! If you can find it Bowman Brothers is a nice choice. Its literally Elmir T Lee (which is from Buffalo Trace and very hard to find these days), taken back to Virginia, redistilled and bottled in Bowmans bottle. Let me know if you get a chance to try those and Ill give thoughts from there:)!
  8. Yes... all very true. One very important fact your are didnt mention. And costs $600-$1000 new and within 2 years is outdated and worth $100 if lucky. Meanwhile, I bought my watch 4 years ago for 9K, I can easily sell it in the right forum for 18K with out much issue... and can get 10K out of it at any pawn shop. So I have enjoyed wearing an amazing watch daily for 4 years straight, and have double my investment. Not a bad deal. BTW, I couldnt live or do my job without my phone... so I am in no way saying that the phone is no important:)
  9. Just wanted to give an update here. The spring was not the issue. I must have mixed up the followers when putting them back together. Gen 1 follower is really different than the newer ones. They DO NOT play well with mag extensions. Swapped them to the correct followers and the gen 1 follower back to the gen 1 mag, problem fixed!
  10. I would say that is likely the majority of people these days... esp because "I have a phone that tells time"!
  11. Lol... I hear this from my wife every now and again when she goes out to the garage!:)
  12. Ive talked about shooting matches for years... Outside of time and kids, I am not sure why I have not shot one yet. Maybe I am scared to do it... who knows. My goal is to shoot a few this spring!
  13. Oddly enough, I hoard it too... A lot gets loaded, but I have stuff I know I am not going to load. Question I always ask myself is why I am keeping it... easy answer is, I may need it one day and don't want to buy it.
  14. My second biggest hobby! I am a huge fan of Blaum Brothers Knotter Bourbon, Michters age stated bottles and Willet Family Estate! I obviously have all the other usual suspects in the collection! What do you all love?
  15. I am sporting a SS Rolex Daytona. In all honesty, it has nothing to do with the time it keeps. I am of the mindset that I can walk into any pawn shop in the world and get roughly 10K with not many issues. Much harder to travel with 10K cash... Obviously this is a final option in I am in serious trouble situation such as I lost my wallet, am stranded, or whatever in a foreign country etc. Its also a very nice reminder of accomplishment for me. Many will not see the sense in it, other will!
  16. Well... its -25 in the south side of Chicagoland today. F-in cold as balls out here the last few days.
  17. Joe Rogan, The Shooting Guys, Bad Christian, Jordan Peterson... just to name a few!
  18. This has replaced many of the shows I regularly watch. I 100% love this one! Great suggestion.
  19. Been loving Jason Isbell and Tyler Childress. They are both fantastic for lighting up a cigar and sharing a pour of bourbon with friends!
  20. Ive been watching from the start, and its been great... Sadly, I have not been a big fan of this last season. Somewhat disappointed in it this time.
  21. This is such an impossible question! Good news is that I have not seen some of the movies people are listing off, so I have something to watch in this cold weather we are dealing with! Shawshank Redemption is def up there for me:)
  22. Big fan of the series! I am looking forward to the new season!
  23. Thanks man! I take a look at this when I get home.
  24. No, I have not done anything to the inside of the mags...
