  1. I get that:) For whatever reason I really did think that the MK7 looked really nice at the NRA Show. I also think it would be nice to clear some space on my bench going from 3 presses and a s#!t ton of conversions down to 2.
  2. Going off topic a bit here... I was able to look at both the revo and evo... both machines were very nice! Currently I have 2 1050’s and a 650. 1050’s are set up as a large and small primer machine and pretty much stay set to 45 and 9mm. The 650 is whatever and gets very little play outside of some 38 stuff. I have a lot of caliber swaps (full set ups) for the 1050(9/45/38sp/38super/300/223). I also have duplicates of those on the 650. In all honesty, this is way overkill for me as I just don’t shoot enough to justify having all this. I do however like having the option and stuff on hand. i have been considering selling both 1050’s and caliber conversions to buy one of the MK7 presses as well as a caliber conversion. (45 and 9). I would keep my 650 for fast load workup and one off calibers. i have no clue what the price offsets would be on this but am looking for some feedback on what press set up would make most sense and which options I need. Anyone here have opinions, thoughts, or guidance?
  3. Only it wasnt 100% user error. The press was recently returned to me from a rebuild from Dillon “ready to go”. I didn’t think I would have thought to go through it and make sure the press was greased up correctly when that should have been done before they returned it. Anyway, lesson learned there... At this point it’s whatever! I bought the bolt. I’ll buy whatever parts I need for the 1050 moving forward. When I call for a part on my 650 and they decide that they don’t want to... I’ll be asking for a supervisor.
  4. I didn’t... not even sure why. If that happens again I will.
  5. Yes, figured it out... the cam bolt and S channel didn’t have any grease at all on it. Some grease really smoothed that up and took care of the issue. There is a thread in the forum just under this one that reads RL1050 issues... Dillon rep commented there... but a friend of mine came over and informed me before.
  6. Yes, this fixed my issue. After calling in and asking I was told “we are not sure what the issue could be”. Finally I spoke to an older reloaded who has had a RL1050 his whole shooting life. He explained this to me as well. When i called to order the cam bolt, one rep did explain this to me as well... sadly it was a call short and another broken cam bolt.
  7. Well, don’t get to used to it man... this was more the point of my thread. I was “assimilated” to it too. It’s just shocking when you are used to being treated very well and then told those parts are x amount of $$. Again, it wouldn’t be a big deal for me if were the first time and only on 1050 parts, but as mentioned up top I’ve been asked to pay for 650 parts... Im over it and I’ll buy the $4 part, but IMO Dillon care has changed over the years... years ago they gladly would take care of parts, even send multiples out... and literally help with any issue. As it stands today, and my experience over the last year... trouble shooting support as well as warranty have suffered. For me the problem is Dillon used to be so good that it raised to bar for me. I knew no matter what, I was going to be taken care of. Now, they are still very good... it’s just not 100% that I get the answer or result that I want when I call.
  8. Just to clarify, this was on a 650 machine... not the 1050. So, yes- when a machine comes with a lifetime no BS warranty and Dillon gives me BS I feel as though I should get a bit upset about it.
  9. Sure! But I have:(. As mentioned up top I’ve been told I need to pay for springs and other broken or worn parts on my 650. I have also been given some parts for my 1050... so with Dillon, which one is it... is it covered or not?! **Its not like parts get worn or break often BTW. I can count on one hand how many parts I’ve needed from them over the years.
  10. I do appreciate the thoughts here though... my question and reason for the thread was to actually hear others thoughts on this... I want to state as far as actually policy goes, am in the wrong here. Just want that to be clear.
  11. Hey Sarge! Thanks for your thoughts! My complaint has nothing to do with the $4 bolt. It really doesn’t...
  12. I’m willing to bet if a $4 part breaks on one of their machines they will take care of it. Esp if a customer had 3 other presses on their bench and record of them buying at least 10 presses over the last 6 or 7 years. Anyway, being in a sales consulting position my mind always looks toward the long term customer loyal customer
  13. They have told me no several times for stuff on my 650 over the years... worn springs etc... On the 1050, true... it just seems very short sighted imo given what’s coming in terms of competition.
  14. Looking for thoughts here... i recently broke a cam bolt bolt on my 1050. I called Dillon and they sent me a new one. All was well. I broke the part again... looks like ive figured out what the issue was, but it doesn’t change the fact the the part is broken. Called Dillon again and the rep on the phone said I would have to pay for the part. I’m not sure if I am ok with this... I understand it’s a 1050, and it’s not technically covered by there typical warranty. In saying that, I’ve owned several presses over the years. I currently have an RL 1050, Super 1050, and XL650. Those 1050 machines all have quick swaps of at least 6 calibers and another 4 on the 650. That means I probably have around $7k in Dillon products on my bench. For a non commercial reloader Inwould say that’s a pretty penny to have spent with them. Am I over reacting by hearing an MK7 in my future or (meaning switching over due to this) or should I just get over it. For the record, I’ve had reps at Dillon tell me they wouldn’t warranty items on my 650 in the past as well (which Inthrew a for about). Has as anyone else had Dillon tell them they would not replace a broken part/parts? What’s the reasoning behind it?
  15. Hi, I am loading on a RL 1050 (small primer) and a Super 1050 (large primer)... my Super 1050 is running great! No issues with loading 45acp. The RL 1050 does feel smoother and the ratchet seems much lighter. Not sure if this is normal or not. The RL is fine... however I have now broken two (part number) 12486 Cam Bolts and I have no idea what the hell is causing this issue. I guess I’m looking for thoughts on why this is happening and has anyone else experienced this? Only difference for me using the two machines is the RL has a bullet feeder on it since I shoot a lot more 9mm than other rounds. I can provide pics if needed... hoping it’s something very easy to adjust and fix.
  16. Not aware of many HK 10mm?! I’ll have to look into one:)!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Figured as much! Thanks so much for the info here!!
  18. A long while ago I had a 10mm so I bought a bunch of 10mm brass at a gunshow. Years went by and I recently opened the boxes to look them over and clean them up. I noticed some odd lines in the brass... no clue what they are? Is this normal? Safe to lead? Anyone seen this before... looking to be schooled on this! Thanks guys!
  19. Anyone watch it??!! The seasons are not tied to each other so it’s esentially like watching a 7 hour movie! Season build and Inhave to say Season 1 may be the greatest series i personay have ever watched. It’s sriously amazing. Matthew McConaughey plays one of the best tv show characters I’ve seen-probably my favorite:). Simply awesome. Season 2 was ok, but did not come close to Season 1. You can watch it and enjoy it, but prepare yourself to be very disappointed if you are expecting what Season 1 produced. Season 3 just started (we are three weeks in) and I have to say...Yes!!! To this point it’s been amazing. Not quite on the level of the first season, but it’s got all the elements to make it great! if you all have not gotten a chance to watch them yet, 100% endorse doing so!
  20. I am pretty sure the new season is coming out soon!!
  21. Did that hit? I bet it’s over oaked AF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. ER17 is some of my fav... esp the older ones. Not the bigger fan of the regular stuff though. Most people do really enjoy it though!
