  1. I would be in terested in one if it came with the Titanium cylinder and the Titanium shrouded stainless Walther barrel as per the 327 JM version.
  2. I would also purchase one as soon as it's available. It would be fun to get a lot of trigger time with inexpensive ammo.
  3. My favorite powder for lead and plated revolver loads for the 45ACP is Trail Boss. Clean burning and mild perceived recoil.
  4. I use WSF and Bullseye for all my 9mm loads with either plated or jacketed bullets.
  5. Purchase your moon clips from Ranch Products the original manufacturer. Last time I purchased 45 ACP moonclips they were less than $50 per 100 shipped. You cannot order from their website but they do reply to pjone calls. Great people to deal with.
  6. To eliminate/dramatically reduce the smoke you have to eliminate the cast /swaged lead bullets and go to either a JHP or a plated bullet with a clean burning powder like Clays, American Select, WST, or VV N-310.
  7. I have used E3, Clays American Selct and WST behind 185 gr LSWC. The E3 was slightly cleaner than the other three but all four were much cleaner than W-231, Bullseye, etc.
  8. In order to minimize the possibility of a double charge I use the lower density/fluffier powders such as Clays, American Select, or Trail Boss for revolver loads with lead bullets. I use a Dillon 550 and examine the powder fill visually before proceeding to the next station.
  9. In 45 ACP I have used 3.5 gr. E3 with the 185 gr. LSWC with excellent results. In my experience this powder is faster than Clays which is faster than American Select. All three provide clean burning in the 45 ACP. I am a bit timid and hesistate to use either Clays or E3 in either 9mm or 40 S&W.
  10. I have recently purchsed an Advantage Arms 22 conversion kit for a stock Glock 17. It functions well with CCI Mini Mags and Remington Thunderbolt. I imagine it would also do well with the Remington Golden Bullet HV ammo. The Federal HS bulk pack amo had some feeding problems and I would stay away from it for this use. Based on expereince with other 22 conversion units it seems that the Remington cheapie HV ammo functions welll with kits designed to shoot HV ammo.
  11. Primers fuly seated? If so then you probably need to increase the mainspring weight.
  12. That appears to be a problem with the chamber. It appears that a piece of the chamber is missing. Check out the chamber when you have the barel removed from the gun.
  13. Personally I use WSF but powders such as Unique, HS-700X, Power Pistol and American Select would also fit your needs.
  14. I would not recover brass that has been in the ground for years, particularly in a non desert climate. On the other hand I am shooting some old balon head cases in 44 Special with mild loads. This brass was manufactured early after WWII.
  15. I used to shoot lead and never had a problem with cleaning the barrel - leading was always minimal to nonexistent. Recently my favorite powder for either lead or plated bullets has been Trail Boss. You should seriously consider reloading if you want to get specific ammo.
  16. +1 Here's a picture of one on my 627 Does the Pinshooter mount use the Slide or Railway mounted C-More? From the photo it appears to be the Slide mounted C-More.
  17. Where does one get the Pinshooter mount? +1 Here's a picture of one on my 627
  18. I have found the same problem with either the Ghost or CR Speed holsters. I switched to the XTREME holster and it fits every S&W revolver withour any adjustment.
  19. The 9mm Luger is a tapered ase. Carbide sizing dies use a carbide ring and form a cylinder thus the resulsting "coke bottle" shape of your reloads.
  20. I have used 3.6 to 3.9 gr. WST with 155 to 180 gr. jacketed bullets in my CZ-40B S&W 646 and S&W 610. Nice mild, clean burning, accurate loads
  21. I prefer the 147 gr. jacketed bullets at ca. 900 fps - 4.1 gr. WSF, 3.5 gr. Bullseye or 3.4 gr. Titegroup with WSP have worked for me.
  22. I have shot 3.5 gr. Bulseye, WSP behind 147 gr. plated or jacketed bullets.
  23. The only range brass I would pick up is once fired factory. With so many people shooting 9mm Major at very high pressures I would not trust those cases for any additional reloading.
  24. For 185 and 230 gr. jacketed bullets I use either American Select, WST, Clay or VV N-310 - all very clean burning powders. For use with the 185 and 230 gr. Berr's/Rainier plated bullets I used to use the above powders but have recently switched to Trail Boss.
