  1. i have tried both the 124 and 115 precision deltas. I personally like the 115 with HS 6 and also AA#7. Both will get you good results and what I like is that the gun returns back to its original state fast so you can shoot your follow up shot. The only problem with AA#7 is that is very dirty. You will probably be needing to clean your gun more often. So the way I can explain it for both bullets is that the 124 might be a little softer on the hand but might have a little more muzzle rise. The 115 feel a little more aggressive on the hand but with the amount of powder that I am putting in, it makes the gun shoot flatter and some back to its original state quicker.
  2. i know you said you are running 7 and 8 lb springs, but what brand of springs are you running? I have an open gun that I can run major and minor with an 8lb ISMI spring. one time I put an 8lb Wolf spring and it did not want to work with minor. I didn't know why it wasn't working anymore. I figured the spring is new and has a lot of tension. I had to up my minor load a little to make it work. After I spoke to a friend of mine on it, he asked me what recoil spring I had. I told him the Wolf and he told me to change it to ISMI. He claimed the Wolf are a little longer and have more tension. So I did the change and everything worked as normal. Just something you can try and see if it works. I know changing the mount will work as well.

    AA#7

Benny Hill gave me a load for AA#7 for 38 super using 115gr. He told me to load 11.3-11.5 I tried it and it worked great. It was a little too dirty for me but I never shot more than 8 stages at a time with that powder. Once I saw how dirty it got my gun, I don't know if it would last a long match like 12-14 stages all at once. You might need to clean it in between. My gun has a Brazos Thunder comp 2 on it with no popple holes. Now I am using an Akai V8 with HS6 and of course that feels awesome
  4. I have an DAA with the PT insert but I still feel it's a little tight when I put the gun in or try to take it out. Any recommendations on what I need to do so it won't be that tight?
  5. You will also need to change the station 1 locator. for 9mm and 38 super its the same but for 38 SC its a little different. It's a little smaller and will the hold the brass better. This will also help in case a 38 super case gets in the mix of your super comp. The 38 super will not fit on the Super comp locator so you will know that something is wrong when it gets stuck.

    MBX Mag

I did try putting in the mag because I was told that it might be tight but if I load anything less than 23 rounds the mag slides in and out with no problem. It's just for some reason when I load 23 or more rounds that the mad starts getting really hard to click into the gun.

    MBX Mag

I have an mbx 170 for 38 super. I noticed since I bought it that if I load more then 23 rounds in it, it is extremely hard for the mag to click in place in my gun. I have to really slam it hard to get it to stay. I was told from mbx that I had to wait for the spring to settle in a bit so I won't have that problem. I have used that mag for the past 5 months and still have the same problem. I even switched to a grams spring and follower and still the same problem. Does anyone else have this issue with mbx mags? As for my sti mags I don't have that problem and I can load them to about 28 or 29.
  8. I had the same issue when I used a lee 38 super resizing die. I had to go with the U die that fixed everything.
  9. I usually clean mine after a match and for sure a few days before a match and go shoot about 20 rounds out of it to make sure everything is working. For some reason, my gun does not like to be extra clean. I have noticed that if I take my gun to a match and it has just been cleaned, I will have a jam or two on the first stage. After that, the gun will run flawless. So from now on I make sure to shoot at least 20 rounds out of it after I have cleaned so when I go to match, it will work flawless.
  10. I don't know the number so I didn't answer when they called me but they left a message on my phone for me to call them back and register before December 30. If you got a call from them, they should've left a message on your phone if they called you. Hopefully your voicemail is not full or else they wouldn't be able to leave a message.
  11. I have used autocomp for both major and minor loads of 9mm. I have not noticed the brown flakes you are talking about but again I have not looked for them. next time I shoot I will keep an eye out for them.
  12. Thanks for the info. I guess I will try to sign up on Jan 28 and hope for the best. I will start looking for hotels in the area.
  13. Well i was scheduled for another match during this time and I just found out that the match I had signed up for got cancelled. I had gotten a call from USPSA a couple months ago to reserve my spot for open nationals since I had won open B class at Area 4. I guess I missed out on that registration and have to wait until January 28 to register. So those that are familiar with the nationals, do you think the weekend slots fill up faster? Also, where is the best place to get a hotel ( Drive time to range)?
  14. I shoot cmore. To me it feels like it's bigger and I can fond the dot faster.maybe because that's all I have shot and when I have tried the others perhaps I'm not used to it.
  15. I use cci small rifle primers for my 9mm major. You shouldn't have any problem if you use it. Have fun and go shooting.
  16. I ha be a Brazos thunder comp 2 for my 38supercomp. At first it didn't feel much of an difference when I loaded 7.8 grains of WAC compared to The 9mm major I was shooting with a smaller comp and using 6.9 gr of WAC. Both were loaded with a 124 gr MG JHP. it wasn't until Benny hill told me to use 11.5 gr of Accurate #7 on a 115 gr MG JHP is when I really noticed the difference on how the comp works. I guess I wasn't putting enough gas through the comp to make it work the way it's meant to be. That flattened my gun out a lot. As for popple holes, I don't have any on my gun so perhaps that might make it even flatter. By the way I have never tried the trubor comp so I can't compare it but I do like the thunder comp a lot.
  17. i am using 11.3 grains of Accurate #7 with 115 gr. Montana Gold JHP. It is very flat and I am pushing about 178 PF.
  18. ok thanks. Yea I figured there would need to be some change what I'd don't know if it was going to be way off every time or just a little. I guess I will just stay with the same diode for everything so I won't hbe to be changing much.
  19. I am thinking of changing the diode on my cmore to use my gun for other type of competions. Do any of you know if I have to be re-zeroing in the cmore every time i switch the diode? I know there will be a slight difference in aiming if I use for say an 8moa to a 4 moa since the dot is smaller. What I don't know is if I have to rezero every time i change it out. The reason I ask is because my open gun is set up for 9mm and 38super. I have marked my cmore for both calibers as to where I have to move the sighting screws so it can be sighted in for each caliber. I don't want to be erasing that paint and marking new ones every time. Just asking to see if anyone has had this experience before. Thanks
  20. Yeah I will probably just get the 650 with the 9mm/38 super kit then order a 38 supercomp plate with it for it to work better. I just didn't know if I am going to run a case feeder, if I needed anything else to run 38 supercomp compared to 9mm. By the looks of it everything will stay the same and if I need to change anything, I will change the shell plate. Thanks.
  21. Check the sear spring. It might be out of place or might have been adjusted to light. You will need to bend it for more pressure. Once the sear spring is good to go, also make sure to tighten the grip screws because that can make the sear spring get out of place.
  22. I found that using Accurate #7 worked well for my 38SC. AA#7 - 11.4 Grains, Montana Gold 115 JHP, CCI SR primer, COL 1.240, 175 PF Very Flat and makes the gun come back to where you were aiming.
  23. Thank You. I will be doing that and buying a 650 with the 9mm conversion and buy and extra #3 shellplate for the 38 SC. I already have dies because I use them to load the 38 super and 38 SC I load right now on my 550. on my 550, I use the 223 shellplate to load the 38SC. Thanks,
