  1. George Jones, In this case, you are supposed to fire 8 shots, reload and fire 8 shots. If a shooter only fired 7 shots, reloaded then fired 8 shots after the reload, how would you score it ?
  2. If I could shoot a STI Staccato R in revolver, I would start shooting revolver.
  3. it is not a manufactured gun, it is an 80% frame kit. The guy buys it, finishes it and now has a gun. He has produced 1 gun, not 2,000. This is what happens when the rules are relaxed, people want to keep going down the slippery slope. In most matches no one would know, at Chrono for a bigger match, a chrono guy should catch it, welcome to Open Minor, shoot a lot of Alpha's.
  4. You can wear an empty holster in PCC, many guys will use their rig for pistol and PCC.
  5. I never understood the mentality of it is just a Level 1 match, Bad habits ingrained in shooters and range officers at level 1 matches carry over into other matches. All USPSA Matches must follow the USPSA rules.
  6. Mike, As a CRO of a stage or an RM. If a shooter does not have a chamber flag, he comes to the line is given the make ready , he un bags a PCC no chamber flag, makes ready, shoots the stage, at ICHD, Flag, does hammer down and his buddy is there with a case, would you allow him to bag the PCC after hammer down and then call the range clear? people forget chamber flags, lose them etc. as an RM would you get upset over a PCC shooter bagging in lieu of using a chamber flag? 5.2.1.4 says it is allowed, at least the way I read it. PCC: Except when within the boundaries of a safety area, or when under the supervision and direct command of a Range Officer, competitors must carry their pistol caliber carbine: 5.2.1.4 A chamber safety flag, or clear chamber device must be used at all times and be visible externally whenever the firearm is not in a case or sleeve. Anyone found in violation of this rule will be immediately escorted by a Range Officer to a suitable range or safety area where appropriate corrective action shall be made.
  7. Part of the problem is the rule book says 2 different things, in the rule I posted a chamber flag is not required if the PCC is in a sleeve or a case. I am a CRO, Multigun and SCSA Endorsed. A chamber flag should be used at all times, even in a case, NROI should issue a ruling on it, or clean up the discrepancy in the rule book on it.
  8. wrong 5.2.1.4 A chamber safety flag, or clear chamber device must be used at all times and be visible externally whenever the firearm is not in a case or sleeve. Anyone found in violation of this rule will be immediately escorted by a Range Officer to a suitable range or safety area where appropriate corrective action shall be made.
  9. 5.2.1.4 A chamber safety flag, or clear chamber device must be used at all times and be visible externally whenever the firearm is not in a case or sleeve. Anyone found in violation of this rule will be immediately escorted by a Range Officer to a suitable range or safety area where appropriate corrective action shall be made. If the PCC is in case or a sleeve a chamber flag is NOT required.
  10. They are not a manufacturer, they don't build guns, they are not on the production gun list. An 80% lower is not a gun, how can they get it on the production gun list?
  11. casing the PCC is basically the same as having a pistol in a holster, can't sweep yourself or others with a properly cased PCC, even with no chamber flag or a holstered pistol. have seen many shooters where their buddy has a friend bring a case to where the shooter is finishing the stage, after they finished shooting and after iCHD, they bagged it, RO called range clear. That is actually a much better way IMO because a lot of people when carrying a PCC especially muzzle down sweep themselves and others and shorter shooters carrying it muzzle up sometimes sweep taller shooters if they aren't careful. Not having a chamber flag is not a DQ
  12. If you are the R.O. and the shooter doesn't have a chamber flag, what are you going to do? Do you have him hammer down and bag it or stand there waiting for for him to use a chamber flag he doesn't have?
  13. Sometimes a stage will have an off limits area, like a walk through for an R.O. if a shooter goes through the off limits area, they Zero the stage. The off limits area is not a Forbidden Action.
  14. pretty much my thought and even then not so sure I would do it.
  15. guy brings a PCC up to the line, is given the Make ready command, he uncases his PCC facing downrange, no flag, makes ready, shoots the stage, at if clear hammer down flag, has the case available to put the PCC in the case after hammer down (still does not have a flag) what is the correct thing to do? Have him bag the PCC after the hammer down command and call the range clear? or demand he flag the PCC?
  16. yes. He performed the reload, went to the other side, but did a make up, he did not have to do another reload to re engage the left side.
  17. SCSA and USPA are two different sports, they have different rules. The original post was about a USPSA match, dragging other rules into it makes no sense. If he wants to discuss SCSA rules he should start another post.
  18. Change Log is on the website now, I was downloading the rule book to a new laptop and they are there now.
  19. 5.2.1.4 A chamber safety flag, or clear chamber device must be used at all times and be visible externally whenever the firearm is not in a case or sleeve. Anyone found in violation of this rule will be immediately escorted by a Range Officer to a suitable range or safety area where appropriate corrective action shall be made. If it is cased or in a sleeve, no chamber flag is required, above is the USPSA Rule, not sure why SCSA rules got dragged into this as it was a USPSA Match the OP was talking about.
  20. L10 Nationals last year I had an uncertified Range Officer run me, even at Nationals not all R.O.'s are required to he certified by NROI.
  21. yes the call you made was correct, don't know where people get the idea it is a DQ. If the firearm was loaded, then it is a DQ for a loaded firearm, the chamber flag or absence of a chamber flag would not matter in the case of a loaded gun.
  22. Gun case/bag A carrying device that does not allow access to, or manipulation of, the trigger while fully encasing the firearm.
  23. I use solid earplugs custom made by www.dreamearz.com and pro ears gold muffs
  24. I had an RO freak out a little because I came to the line with a flagged PCC, with the bolt open, the CRO had to tell him to calm down. It is the professional non shooting Range Officers and RMs that are the worst, you would think they would pick up a rule book or look at a rule when a competitor quotes it or tries to show them a rule that applies.
