  1. I have this in 1-8.5 FFP. I am not sure if the 1-6.5 FFP one has less bright red dot, but on mine, it works like a red dot at 1x during daylight conditions. Not sure if this helps, but I have liked the FFP on Leupold and Bushnell series for that reason.
  2. I use liquid chalk stuff and that helps during the COF.
  3. I have tried several things and I find this to be the easiest to use....which is probably why I haven't lost it at matches: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-riflescope-cover-nsc-1
  4. Very excited about this match. I won't be shooting it, but I think I will be there to watch it.
  5. The dot torture drill has made me much more consistent in where I shoot when moving in and out of positions and speeding up. I didn't have the push issue, but if the shots are consistently located throughout, I am sure that means it helped somehow.
  6. I told my post office that I would come and collect them. Our postal carrier is a small lady and I don't want anyone else to get hurt.
  7. Is there anyone out there that is keeping track of all the major 3-gun matches in the US (or outside) in a calendar format? I just want the confirmed listing to be on some type of calendar that can easily be merged with my calendar. https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=angunnar4%40gmail.com&ctz=America/Chicago I have the above calendar in the works as I wanted to compare them to my availability far in advance. All information was pulled off of this forum or it was something I had planned to attend this year. If you know of matches that I have missed or know of a calendar, please PM me with that information. Thank you.
  8. I have seen this with plated, jacketed, coated always at close shots. I always thought it was the coat coming off the bullets.
  9. Advantage of the reciprocating charging handle is that you can visually see any malfunctions and it allows you to have the most force on extracting that damaged casing out of the gun or to work as a forward assist.. However, with quality charging handle designs matched with strong carrier, the strength isn't a big issue on non-reciprocating side-charging handles. Also, visual inspection is equally possible by looking at the ejection port side. It also will not strike you if you make mistakes. I have used various brands of side charging models and I like them because it feels that I have more control in various positions, especially in prone.
  10. If you get an adjustable gas block, you do not need the spring pack.

  13. Are you using small amount of blue loctite until the carbon build up occurs?
  14. I got everything but the pizza.....I need to get more hardcore next year and integrate pizza into my stage plans.
  15. I do not see this but in the diagram provided by dillon. I just bought this new from a dealer. This but isn't attached to anything but it is stuck in there. I can't seem to be able to remove it unless I remove the e-clip.
  16. At following clubs, but they are all just around the cities. Forest Lake Sportsman's Club Minnetonka Game & Fish Pine Island Sportsman's Club SCAPSA
  17. No lack of USPSA, IDPA and 3-gun competitions in the Twin Cities area. Be sure to join the Facebook Group MNGUN X3 to keep up to date on 3-gun matches.
  18. Very true....I am often dead tired 2 hours in. I blame my old bones.....
  19. I clean mine with alcohol on least abrasive cloth I can find. And then gently rub it with dryer sheets once it dries. While the powder still clings, it isn't as bad as pictured. That said, I only use Dillon powder drops as I have Dillon machines.
  20. Just entering my test loads that's been good Accushadow/SV2011 9mm N320 3.2gr 147gr Blue Bullets Mixed brass Primer: Federal GM100 OAL: 1.125 ~130PF
  21. Finally, I can use that metronome sitting around for decoration for something.
