  1. H&N is making a 195grs RN bullet: link The Distributor in the US is RoCo Firearm Technology I use the .38 200grs RN HS and the .45 200grs RN HS - they are fine! DVC! Sascha
  2. Daniele, The only thing I could find for 38 short special is at Viking arms. But no luck finding just the brass. Here is a link that you can pull a search for 38short specials, Hope it helps. Short 38 special mhm.., for me, the pic looks like a .38ShortColt case....
  3. the Merkle-release is still my favourite! But as Mooney wrote - it depends on your taste... Sascha
  4. perfect choice...... edit: price in Germany: SpeedMachine ~ 100€, SpeedMachine 3-D is about 150€ link to a German shop with good pictures (scroll to the bottom of the site)
  5. I´m using Nill PPC grips on all my revos - yes, there might be a possibility, that the screw can affect the spring. I was lucky, that on my revos it does work even with lightened (filed) springs. And yes, I have also a trigger job done on my guns. If you want to, I can post a photo later of a opened grip with one half mounted. best, Sascha
  6. Not myself, but the SpeedMachine is very popular in Germany/Austria. A lot of shooters of the "Top Wheelgunner Tropy" Match Series are using this holster. Some of my team mates, too - never heard anything negative about. best, Sascha
  7. Hello Daniele, did you think of a renewing the finish? I don´t know which kind of coating it is, but here in Germany are some smiths offering the coating of gun parts with e.g. hardchrome or plasmanitride by Charly "gunmaker" Prommersberger, german importer of STI Guns and S&W Smith ) eor Ralf Merkle offers a AlTiN Aluminium-Titan-Nitrit coating. I think, with such a new coating, you´ll have also a good result! Maybe there are some italian smith doing the same? best, Sascha
  8. Hi Jason, Igor was faster.... As Igor wrote, there´s no prob for not essential Gun Parts (as Frame, Cylinder/Slide or Barrel). You can buy or own them and "export" them in Germany without any restrictions. Best regards, Sascha
  9. Hi Byron, these are the dimensions of my two LPA sights best, Sascha
  10. There have been some queries for the translation of the article - I´ve done my best... (see attachement) Best, Sascha Article.pdf
  11. word by word - perfect! Hope my translation by meaning is as good... Maybe, you can do the translation of the article..... best, Sascha
  12. Hello Randy, interesting! Me and three other wheelies have done something like this about three years ago - unfortunately there were only six participants, but nearly all of them are still "revolving"... We had the same topics - equipment, reloading techniques etc. my team-mate Dietmar with a lot of Revo equipment: See article in online-issue of german gunmag "Visier": Article (German.... ) (you have to scroll down to Article " Hier dreht sich alles um die Trommel" from 1. Oktober 2003 near at the end of the page (headline means something like "Everything turns around the cylinder") If somebody wants to have a translation of the article, just tell me! Good luck and a lot of participants, Sascha
  13. But I´ll measure it! Hello Viggen, I´ve measured: Revo 1: front sight (black target sight) 0,2345 high / 0,126 wide | rear sight: 0,157 wide Revo 2: front sight (black target sight) 0,2845 high / 0,128 wide | rear sight: 0,145 wide best, Sascha
  14. Did you mean my 586? I´ll have a look and measure the sights for you - anyway, its a higher front sight than the standard one. The rear sight is filed a little bit deeper and wider. Originally the LPA sight is very tight and not very deep - and I like to see a little more light at the side of my front sight picture. But I´ll measure it! Nill website has also a area for USA and as I understand, they will ship to USA directly... But I´m sure, there are some distributors in USA as well.... The grip of the Nill PPC grip is fantastic! (But unfortunately, they are a little bit pricey... DVC! Sascha
  15. Hello Viggen, I think, it´s the LPA sight that you have seen: -> have a look at LPA web page I think, Randy is selling them in USA! best, Sascha btw - I´ve the LPA sights on my two Revo´s for IPSC Revolver Standard - they´re fine!
  16. Hi Spook, just called Ralf but he was busy, Sylvia told me, that if Ralf gets a broken one for fixing, he usually cuts the second one also (grinds the broken one, if necessary) and drills two holes one bar offset and puts two new pins to the cylinder. If theres one which is not broken and it still works- just use it, till the second one breaks, then fix if necessary.... Hope that helps, DVC, Sascha
  17. Hi Spook, if you want to, I can ask Ralf - he´s working with these pins also on new revos he´s building. best, Sascha are you now coming to our nationals? STI Open was pretty a lot of fun with the swiss guys in one squad - there was only a dutch guy missing....
  18. Happy Birthday from me also! June,13th is a very, very good day for celebrating a birthday... Best, Sascha
  19. there was a thread in the past with the same issue - I´ve posted two pictures there with my way of gripping the gun: link I tried it, to put the index-finger of the weak hand under the trigger guard but it doesn´t work for me..... on my website, you can see a small video of a bill-drill with close up of the gun and my grip (full speed and slow-motion) - just go to IPSC/pictures and scroll to the end of the site. best, Sascha
  20. cooper_999

    18 + 17

Keeping in mind, of course, that 50 is approximately 93% of all the revolvers presently in Europe. mhm... I think, there are more - I know a lot of Revo shooters e.g. from Suisse or Austria competing at the Top Wheelgunner Trophy but have not been at the German Nats last year. And there were no italian shooters, no czech, no dutch except of spook etc. at the Nats as well - I would suggest that there are more than 100 - 150 potential candidates in the middle Europe Area. But of course, 50 competitors are stil a lot. Hope there will be as much this year again! DVC! Sascha
  21. Very nice! Hey, you´re also using the Nill PPC grip - me too! I´ve put it on all my Revos... DVC! Sascha
  22. I´m very interested in "how-to" bend or recurve a factory spring - at the moment, I´m using a grinded factory spring, but maybe a bending is better? Is it possible for anybody, to post a picture of the spring after bending? Thanks in advance, best, Sascha btw - just got a Lyman Trigger gauge today - my two 586 are at 6lbs and my 627-8 with the Randy-hammer is at 4lbs 14oz
  23. hi bjöen jes I am it the rules is 9mm diameter and 19mm long and the brass is 18.89 and not permitted ont spruiten u nu revolver of wat WHEEL-Gunner Hi Wheelie, just cut the 45ACP cases to 19,01 and you´re fine.... Dietmar has done some Ransom testing with Guenthers cut .45´s - the result was a much tighter group than with the often used 45 ACP loads (N320, H&N etc.) If you want to, I can ask him the diameter of the compared loads/groups. DVC! Sascha
  24. Hi, here are two links to older threads with the same issue: thread 1 thread 2 They´re still available here in Germany, but with shipping costs etc. I think, they will be to expensive... DVC! Sascha
  25. thumbs up! Looks cool - saw some time ago a 9mm converted 686, also with a cut cylinder and set back barrel. The owner there was also very pleased with the solution. I´m also interested in 38SC loads - just beside me are 500 SC cases waiting for the loading. First tests with Titegroup have been promising.... DVC! Sascha
