  1. I was looking at Jagers website and they only list guide rods for the Gen 5 17 and 19. Will the 17 guide rod work for the 34? Is there any difference between Gen 4 and Gen 5 guide rods?
  2. I'm kinda having the same issue. I'm borrowing my dad's G17 while I wait for my 34 and my old CZ loads, 147gr Blue Bullet fp, Titegroup, set at 1.115 doesn't shoot worth a damn through the 17. It's not worth playing with because my 34 should arrive soon, but it does worry me that I'm gonna have to do a lot of load development.
  3. I've got a Gen5 34 on the way and I'm wanting to get a few bullets lined up to test. I'd probably prefer coated 147s, but am willing to try others...plated, fmj, 124gr, etc. What bullets do you guys find to be accurate through a Glock with Titegroup?

    Walther

Yeah. My strong hand thumb tip falls perfectly on the Glock...the normal slide stop, not the extended. The extended one had me locking the slide back every other shot.
  5. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Just swing for the fences on every stage and I'm sure it will work out.
  6. Doesn't look like it... "BARRELS: You may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel which is of the same length, and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun. " I agree though... stupid to change all that other stuff and not this.

    Walther

The one thing that worries me about the Walther is the slide stop. I don't understand why they had to put a yardstick of a slide stop on it. Did any of you guys have problems riding the slide stop or bumping it up and locking back inadvertently? That's the thing I love about the Glock...there's nothing to worry about where/how you grip it. With the regular slide stop I've never hit it accidentally and have zero problem releasing it if I need to. I don't really want to retrain my grip too much and I hate guns with controls in the way. I need to go handle the Walther again and really pay attention to the slide stop to see if I think it will actually cause problems.
  8. If you're wanting to save money, you better turn and run now before you get in too deep. The gun is the cheap part.
  9. So, can slide stops be disabled? It says only OFM or aftermarket parts are allowed as external mods. Can you cut/modify OFM parts?
  10. So, since there's just a maximum weight listed does that mean that frame weights, grip weights, etc are legal as long as it's under weight?
  11. And so begins the slippery slope...
  12. I got a Dawson pad to try. I don't think they can be beat for $15.
  13. I hadn't watched anything before I watched Punisher, and I didn't feel lost at all. Plus, I've never read any of the comic books. I just had a vague idea of what he was... vigilante anti-hero.
  14. I really wanted the salomons to work, but the mid foot is still too narrow. That's the place where most shoes won't fit me. So far the Altras are the best fit. They seem pretty well made. They don't have the most aggressive tread of all, but it's pretty good. I've got a pair of Saucony Excursions (only trail model to come in wide) and a pair of NB on the way. We'll see.
  15. Well... Speedcross wides are still very narrow. Saucony Peregrine's are way too narrow. Altra Timps might work. I wish they were a little more aggressive, but they seem ok. They do look a little odd. I'm gonna wear them around the house a little before I make a decision. I'm still open to trying others.

    Glock Gen 5

Is the barrel still polyagonal rifling or did they go to a standard rifling? I've heard it both ways.
  17. Man...I'm glad you said this. I hope they work. I've got Speedcross 4, Saucony Peregrine's, and Altra Timps on the way to try. After I try these, I'm gonna try some New Balance because they've fit well in the past. I'm open to other suggestions, too.
  18. I've already tried Inov-8. They are too narrow. I really wish they would work because they seem like great shoes, same with the Solomans.
  19. I've had several pairs of Merrell Moabs, but am looking for more aggressive tread.
  20. I'm only seeing M width in the Peregrine's. They look great though. I'll check them out if I can find some.
  21. I've developed some foot tendonitis and need something that has support, no minimalist shoes. I've got custom insoles on the way from the Dr. I've been wearing Asic Fuji Runnegades and love the traction they offer but they are basically the next step from barefoot. Before that I had Adidas Kanadia, but they are about the same. The problem is I have a wide foot. I wear a 4E in Asics and 2E in most others. I've tried Solomon...way too narrow. I tried the "standard fit" Inov8...too narrow. Anyone have any suggestions? I like the soft rubber cleats, but might be open to other types.
  22. +1. I prefer it strongly to progrip. It does make your hands very white, but it helps with grip a lot.
  23. Mine would feed certain bullet profiles fine, but choked on some...hollow points in particular. Just something to check.
  24. Make sure the bottom of the breech face isn't sharp. You're probably gonna want to round it off with some sandpaper. My SP-01 did this at first. The breech face drags the round underneath it forward enough to screw it up when it goes to load. Mine would feed some bullet profiles fine, but would choke on hollow points until I did that. This should probably go in the CZ section.
