  1. Do you guys like the Dillon roller handle or Inline Fabrication roller handle?
  2. I've been fighting with on and off golfers elbow. I reloaded 150 rounds on my 550 last night after it had already been hurting and I'm paying for it today. Will the roller handle make it any easier to use?
  3. No, it is based on the division you shoot. If you shoot Limited with a DA/SA gun, you have the option of hammer down or cocked with safety on. If you shoot Production with a DA/SA, it has to be hammer down. If you have a 9mm Stock 2, you can't just add more powder and declare major. In Limited you have to shoot 40 to declare major.
  4. I don't see how the extreme can be worth the price difference. The base Limited is a great gun. The trigger is great out of the box. Insanely accurate. Add grips, magwell, better front sight, and basepads and you are set. Mine has ran like a top.
  5. Ok, I can see that. Especially for Steel Challenge.
  6. Wouldn't the capacity of a 1911 make it impossible vs. some of the double stacks carrying 23 rounds?
  7. Small magwells in CO kinda make sense, since many companies are now offering small "concealed carry" type magwells. When does Carry Optics become a real division and lose it's provisional status?
  8. This is my first season shooting limited and second season total. Actually, most of this season was set out of USPSA due to an injury and I just shot Steel Challenge. Maybe just didn't pay attention to other people doing that.
  9. I called Bevin. He was very helpful. He said it was probably when dropping a mag, the weight of the ammo can compress the spring and make the follower do wonky things. He said he's seen the top round flip over. He said it could be a spring messed up, but said to start with dropped mags. So I guess if a mag hits the ground, I need to unload it and take it apart. He said it was standard operating procedure, but I guess I was unaware of that standard.
  10. Is the trigger on the PPQ about the same as the Q5 or is the Q5 that much better? I know finding a Q5 locally is going to be tough, so I want to know if I can get the gist of what the Q5 would be by handling the PPQ. I know I've seen those around. MM - If you were right handed would you like it just as much?
  11. When does Carry Optics come off of it's provisional status and become a permanent division?
  12. Walther Q5 M&P CORE XD OSP I'm interested in 3 main things: Accuracy Ease/speed of reloads Good trigger (aftermarket or stock) How do these guns perform in regards to these 3 things? Of these 3 pistols, which would you choose for Carry Optics and why?
  13. How does the gun reload compared to the Tanfo? That's one thing that drives me nuts about Tanfo...I could reload my CZ about as good, and it didn't have a magwell. I've had a hard time overcoming it. Is the grip texture good? Does anyone know how many rounds a 140mm mag will hold? I haven't found the Q5 locally. Is the feel of the gun close to the PPQ?
  14. How many rounds can you fit? I think I tried this and could only get 19.
  15. I have a Limited .40s&w with factory K40 magazine tubes, Henning 140mm basepads, and Grams followers/springs. They hold 20 rounds. I've had this problem twice now, and it screwed my match this weekend pretty hard. The follower got stuck after a few rounds we're fired. I had to shake all the rounds out of it, then smack it on a table a few times to get it to release and shoot the follower to the top of the mag. When I took the mag apart, there was a bullet in the bottom of the mag, under the spring. I have no clue how this happened. Any ideas how to remedy this?
  16. How hard is it to fit a barrel?
  17. What's the deal with the stepped chamber on the Walther? Is it something to be concerned about when reloading?
  18. I've tried a few different of my reloads with different bullets and weights of bullets. I'm pretty sure I've got my crimp dialed right. I can try some factory ammo. The front sight is a little wiggly. I put a Springer Precision red dot plate on it with a FF3 3moa dot and had about the same results, so I'm thinking that's not the main issue. Can the slide stop being worn out affect accuracy? This one is fairly new. It doesn't look beat up. I think I have a spare (old one) I could try.
  19. They are all Production legal upgrades.
  20. I've had a SP-01 Tactical since '07 and put a lot of rounds through it. It used to shoot pretty good groups. I hadn't group shot with it for a long time and had moved on from it to a different gun for Limited. I got it out the other day because I was thinking about trying Carry Optics and couldn't get less than a 4 or 5 inches group at 20yds with the iron sights. I thought it was probably me, so I immediately got out my Tanfo and shot a tight group. It's got all the CZC and CGW goodies, so the trigger is nice... shouldn't be an issue. I thought maybe the bushing had worn out. I wasn't the best about cleaning this gun. I ordered a CGW 10x bushing and installed it. It didn't help much if any. The slide has some side to side play with the gun in battery. Could this be the issue? At this point I don't know what to do. Maybe replace the barrel? What do you guys think?
  21. That makes me feel good. I'm 1.38% from Master in RFPI (the only division I've shot so far). I'm sure it's different for every division, but I'm curious if you are M or GM, what % you are of all SC shooters. I'm guessing if you are a GM, there's less than 5% of SC shooters that are GMs.
  22. I didn't know if they were based on times established by top shooters, like USPSA high hit factor, or if they were kinda arbitrary. Looking at scores from WSSC, it appears that the peak times are bested quite often... sometimes substantially.
