  1. Like I said, the smaller one won't work, even cranked in all the way. They are going in correctly. Are you using any tension with the wheel?
  2. My Racer pouches have about the right tightness for my Glock 34 mags when the wheel is totally backed off with no tension and the Glock (M) spacer. The problem is, every now and then, the spacer and leaf spring get pulled out with the mag when reloading. This is a big pita at matches. If I put tension on the wheel, the spacers can't come out, but then it is way too tight to get a smooth reload. The smallest spacer won't work even with the wheel cranked in all the way. Anyone else had this problem? How did you correct it? I'm thinking about taking a belt sander to the M spacers to thin them out a bit so some tension can be applied with the wheel but still not be too tight. I really wish I had a mill, so I could be more precise about it.
  3. That's the way I'm looking at it. I've got 20 Glock mags. I like to load them all up full before going to the range. Even if it saves me me 5 minutes or some hand fatigue each time, it's worth it. Plus, you can find it considerably cheaper than msrp. The thing that worries me is I'm seeing about as many one star reviews as five star, but there aren't that many out there. It's pretty new, though.
  4. Has anyone tried one of these for 9mm, specifically Glock mags? It looks like it could save some time and effort. I'm curious if it works as good as they say. https://magpump.com/products/handgun-magazine-loaders/9mm-luger-magazine-loader
  5. Like I said, you might be right. I don't think there is an accurate way to determine an answer to your first question. It might not be THE problem, but I think it is a problem with the system.
  6. You might be right...it might not matter. Sandbaggers aren't influencing the hhf, though. Maybe the hero or zero guys aren't either, but it kinda appears that way.
  7. One club in particular was allowing at least 6 reshoots. I don't shoot there, but saw classifier scores posted when you do a member lookup. They have since quit allowing that many, as far as I can tell, but there are at least 3 or 4 more clubs around that still allow one reshoot for anyone who wants to.
  8. I think it depends on your area. Half the matches around allow reshoots if you pay them, no reason required. The other half doesn't. Two different states, two different mentalities I guess.
  9. Yes, but I'm talking like a problem with your gun, not range equipment...I should have worded that better.. I would expect a reshoot under the two situations you listed. I shoot at one club that allows reshoots and it doesn't matter the reason...you hand them $5 and reshoot. I want to be classified appropriate to my on demand skill, so I don't do it.
  10. I think the biggest improvement that could be made to the classification system would be to not allow classifier reshoots at all. You never get to reshoot a stage, even for equipment failure, so why allow this for the classification? So many people will shoot the classifier once at a realistic pace so they don't trash the match, then reshoot and hero or zero it. Until the recent change, I've seen where people have had half a dozen or more reshoots just to get the score they think they deserve. This scews the high hit factors to the guys who give it 200% and just get lucky. You would still get hero or zero runs, but I think most people would be more discouraged to do it if it trashed your match.
  11. I was looking for some brass baseplates to add some weight and make mags drop better. The TF brass speed wedge is about all I can find. I'm using Dawson's pads right now and like them. I'm a little concerned that I won't like the wedge shape of the TF vs the DP. Anyone use them?
  12. Yeah. I'm 3.5% from M in Production. Now I have to shoot 8-18% better to score the same. That sucks bad. I can't believe they increased this much overnight with no notice.
  13. If I've looked at it right, you can't have the powder check with the bullet feeder. Or can you have it, but then must seat and crimp together? Is it a big deal to not have the powder check?
  14. I currently have a 550 and I've been thinking of upgrading. I'd really like a 1050, but I'm finding it hard to justify the price difference. I would probably add a bullet feeder to the 650. I plan on keeping the 550 and only loading 9mm on the 650. I've been having tendonitis in my elbow, so reloading hasn't been much fun. I'm thinking a higher output machine would keep me at the press less, plus reduce repetitive motions like grabbing brass/ bullets. Am I trying to justify it too hard? I really wish I could afford auto-drive. Is the output difference that much greater? Any cons to the 650? Should I just wait to upgrade to a 1050/Mark 7 Evo when I can afford it?
  15. I wasn't really interested in Jessica Jones, but Netflix seems to be in a slump lately with shows I want to watch, so I decided to give it a try. I'm almost done with the first season now, and I really like it. It's another one that takes a few episodes to really get rolling.
  16. If they got rid of the tramp stamp and had different colored controls, it would be a pretty attractive gun.
  17. It's on the list as of today.
  18. I didn't even think about it not being approved for Production yet. I can't believe they haven't sold enough 34's yet, but they 17 is gtg. I guess I'll have to shoot the Gen4 17 again this weekend.
  19. I got the Gen 5 Jager rod for the G17 and it fits perfectly.
  20. So far I think the Gen 5 has some really good upgrades over the previous generations. The trigger on my Gen 5 is better out of the box than my Gen 4 with a 4.5lb striker spring and reduced power plunger spring. Both have minus connectors. I like the beveled magwell, too.
  21. Thanks for the offer. I contacted Shooters Connection and they are getting me taken care of.
  22. Just listen to it backwards and it all works out. I'm surprised no one mentioned Slayer with all the metal.
  23. Ok. I have a problem. I ordered a Jager Gen 5 guide rod from Shooters Connection. When I got the package, it had a Gen 4 guide rod in it. The invoice clearly said Gen 5 guide rod. It doesn't fit. So, I guess they sent me the wrong one?
  24. Thanks. I emailed them yesterday, but haven't heard anything back. I guess I'll call if I don't hear something from them.
