I picked up a compact conversion kit for my P320 and in looking at it, noticed that the Guide Rod Hole in the compact slide is bigger. Anyone know the reasoning? Pic attached, compact slide is on the left.

So under this same approach... a subcompact grip would also mount a full-size slide/ barrel...

I was thinking of going with the subcompact with a compact magazine for ccw. Interesting, you did basically the opposite... Makes some sense in that when I have carried my full size, its the grip and magazine that potentially stick out/ print... hmmm.

I'm not a competitor yet... Having taken my 320 apart for cleaning, the little pin on the left hand side of the fire control group fell out once. It landed where it was easy to notice and find. Not sure what it does, I just put it back...

In reading in the 40 S&W reloading section, some are loading out to a length of 1.180 or more. I was thinking the target OAL was 1.130. I'm finding that my loads over the 1.130, like the 1.135 are not passing the plunk test in the barrel. I don't know how to tell if the 1.135 are not passing because they are to long or the bell in the case mouth is not tapered ever so slightly causing it to fail... Thoughts?

hmmm. When I've done the plunk test in my P320 barrel, the loads that fail are all just above the 1.130 that I thought was my target OAL. The failed loads usually measure out in the 1.135 oal. Is this gun specific?

Anybody installed and used the Syrac Gas Piston system? Thoughts? What hand guard did you use? Did it cover the gas block or leave gas block exposed?

So after doing my first ever Dot Torture Drill and a bunch of other drills I was picking up my brass and any other left behind. Attached is what I found after tumbling and sorting... How does this happen at a range?

Market 8 months ago I purchased Full Size 40 with sig night sights $600. Other shops were selling them for $625 and $725... 8 months later, as in this past weekend, I just saw a sub-compact for $520.
