Say a couple of posters are looking for a drop in trigger kit and it dawned on me this morning that for the P320 that might be difficult. I'm hoping I'm missing something here... Wouldn't a drop in trigger kit essentially replace the serialized part? Creating another firearm?

That was a fun video, wish I were that creative...
  4. I learned from the PowerFactor youtube show that a ratio of 1.35 was a place to start with for action type shooting... example 0.100 front with 0.135 rear. Or, 0.110 front and a 0.150 rear; or, something like that At least that was my take-away... I have not tried it yet, getting there thou.

Alma, 0.100 seems really narrow, am I missing something? How wide is your front sight? My stick rear notch is like 0.153?

Any updates on the rear sight options? What are you using for a front sight? Thickness and height?

I put my left thumb (weak hand) on the take down lever and my right thumb (strong hand) over the base of the left hand thumb...

I recommend a 124gr true, drawn-jacketed bullet with enough TiteGroup to make a reliable 131PF for competition in the P320F9. I feel the 147's are needlessly pushy, and the long locked barrel-slide travel of this design allows a lighter bullet to shine. My opinion, and others feel differently. I believe at least 2/3 of my Team SIG shooters are running 147's to excellent effect. FYI, I'm taking the P320 to Bianchi, and will be running the SIG Elite Performance 124 V-Crown over TiteGroup at 126PF. That load is capable of groups well inside 2" at fifty from the Team SIG gun I am running, though I can no longer see well enough to get that on demand. The smallest group I have documented publicly with this load ran 2.15" for ten shots, off bags. -Bruce Thanks for the reply Bruce. My P320 is in 40S&W and I moved my questions to: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=211605&hl= I received some helpful data there... Thanks again.
  9. Cool. Will add info to my data set... Thanks for the reply!

I was able to get to the range this past Saturday. My range trip had many objectives. Those being try new P320 in 40S&W, try Hi-Power 9mm to see if it function properly, and if it did try some of my first hand loads in 24 years... Short versions: P320, cool! Trigger took a little getting use to. I started dry firing at about a 4:1 ratio and my groups improved greatly. I like the 40 S&W. 180 grs felt softer than the 165; both were factory Winchesters. HI-Power, Last time I was at the range I was using some very old reloads bought from a gun show, not really a good idea. I experienced two brass blow outs (see attached Pic) and decided to stop shooting it until I had someone look over the Hi-Power. Inspection found no concerns so I shot it this time with recently purchased factory loads. No issues experienced. I moved on to my own recently loaded hand loads of unique and bullseye. Found a unique load with 124 xtreme bullet that was perfect. Also, modernized my grip and stance...
  11. I'm considering trying IDPA and I'm learning about my new P320 and was thinking I would be entering Stock Service Pistol (SSP). My P320 is chambered in 40 S&W and I've been learning about creating a load for it with a Power Factor of about 135. It has been suggested that with a 135 Pf i would probably need to change the guide rod and spring from aftermarket supplier and the spring would be of lighter duty. If I were to change to the suggested guide rod and spring would this eliminate me from SSP? I copied this rule from another thread: 8.2.1.3.4. Recoil spring guide rods and dual spring recoil systems made of material that is no heavier than stainless steel. Thanks you,Chris
  12. Thanks for sharing you loading information. Did any of you need to change the recoil spring with these reduce loads?

Scrmblr, Your 320 is it a 9mm? Trying to build my understanding for my 320 in 40....
  14. Thanks. I had found Sanners Lake in my IDPA Search. I didn't find the dsarange... Sanners Lake is a bit far, as AAFG is much closer... Thanks again for the info...
  15. Thanks for the info about AAFG. Hopefully, i'll see you there in the near future.
  16. Thank you both. I currently have Bullseye and Unique. From reading other posts I was considering and am further reading about Clays, WST, tightgroup, and VIT 320. Will add your suggestions to the lists...
  17. The pictures I posted were my first on the forum. Did they come out okay? Are there tricks, other than reducing pic size in Paint?
  18. Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering how would they be able to tell it was converted...
  19. Also, Stock spring is a green spring as being discussed in the other P320 thread. It was suggested and estimated in the other thread to be a 20# spring...
  20. I picked up a p320, much awaited because of MD laws, hurdles and waits times... About 3 months in total. Not all of it because of MD Law, just most...

Well picked up my new P320 today. Here is a pic... Clyde's Sport Shop was great to work with... Old style sport shop that is hard to find.
  23. What would be your design load to load a 40 S&W to make Minor Pwoer Factor with a little cushion, say Pf of 130 - 135? Powder? Bullet choice? OAL? I'm looking to narrow down the many choices available. Thanks for your help, Chris

Yes. Current load is a 147gr Ibejihead loaded to 1.15, with 2.9-3.0gr Titegroup. PF is 130ish (128-134) What is a lbejihead?
