  1. Question for Atlas. I know its not a cz but have you played with a SAR k2 .45 at all? I believe the internals are along the lines of cz/tanfoglio. it doesn't have a bad trigger stock but I'd like to improve it a little if possible.
  2. If the price difference is not a big deal or you have small hands and don't like to work on your guns get the cts. A stock ts with 3 mags for 1200 is high though should be able to get one closer to 1000
  3. If you can afford the Sti then get it, if you settle for your second choice (TS) based on price you will eventually sell it (at a loss) and spend the money on the Sti anyway at least I did. I started with a ts , now have a custom sti. I can't say it helped my shooting any. they are both good enough that your skills will be the only thing holding you back.
  4. http://www.archive-org-2012.com/org/u/2012-10-04_366591_30/Listing-of-NROI-Rulings-USPSA-United-States-Practical-Shooting-Association/ Third one down. Different question but the answer would be the same.
  5. ? Looks like it is legal - - - 21.3 After-market slides and barrels – provided they are the same length, contour and caliber as original factory standard. SLIDES: Current rules remain in effect – You may replace the slide with an OFM or aftermarket slide which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original slide for that model of gun. BARRELS: Current rules remain in effect - you may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun. Special Notes/Clarifications: For purposes of this interpretation, a barrel within +/- 0.1” of OFM is “the same length”. Barrels of the same length, contour and caliber but with different crown profiles are authorized. Front serrations. So different profile
  6. Xtreme 124 1.145 oal 4.0 grains 4.7 barrel 1050 fps just over minor pf
  7. Not production legal, most glock slides require no fitting.
  8. I used a few different powders before n320 and read so many good things about it I had to try. Now that I use n320 for 9 minor .40 minor and major I have to say performance wise I don't think it lives up to the hype in my experience. my loads don't feel any softer than some other powders and the standard deviations are similar. It is however the cleanest burning I've used, especially when loading on the lower end charges in comparison. It's still my first choice tho despite the cost because of that and all the load info out there for it is nice to reference.
  9. I bought a 9mm match with Magwell, few mags with extensions, and a few other upgrades for a few hundred less than the stock limiteds go for. Hopefully I don't regret not getting a limited but if I do I'll just get one of those in .40!
  10. See post 27... So the president of the association doesn't know what he's talking about because he wasn't on the board at that time? But random people on an internet forum who also weren't on the board know enough to say he is wrong? So if the next elected prez posts a statement on the website stating that the intent of Production was something entirely different than Phil's statement, would you still believe it? I mean, hey, they're the Prez and it's posted on the internet. It must be true, right? Let's use some logic here. Really? I'm not using logic because I believe what the president of the association says about a division. I haven't seen any better proof saying that wasn't the intention. So why wouldn't I believe what he says? Abd for your hypotheticak. If 2 presidents say opposite things I'd be confused, president vs. Random forum member? Easy choice
  11. Yes it could be rearranged. My money is on the Uspsa president over random people however you arrange it yes.

  13. The internet "folklore" you are referring to was posted on the Uspsa site by the Uspsa president 2 days ago. If that's not legitimate what is?
  14. Oh you're talking about yours which is a .40. I have a custom 2011 .40. I'm only looking at 9.
  15. Thanks for the input everyone. Sounds like for my purposes a match would be fine and id save some money. I'll take another look in classifieds. I'm doing it backward brazeau I already have had and sold 2 ts's
  16. The spirit of Production was to allow a place for entry-level shooters to be competitive without having to spend Limited/Open equipment prices. Production Division was intended to comprise of carry pistols with carry equipment on a somewhat level playing field. Phil Strader wrote that but what does he know right? It may not be a newbie division anymore but it was intended to be.
  17. Ty for the answer. Most of that I don't care about, the nicer rear sight would be nice and the holes for thumbrest. The weight is only listed 1 ounce different is the balance more front heavy in the limited with the longer dust cover? Can the trigger be made to be just as good?
  18. I know the limited is the better more expensive gun. If you buy a match in 9mm with a magwell and don't plan on changing calibers or slides what are you giving up to the limited other than the finishes/ergonomics?
  19. Anything without porting or optics is legal with the right size mags.
  20. Lot of concussion and pretty sharp recoil. Works good for .40 open or hunting/self defense type loads. Not very well suited compared to others for standard target loads.
  21. If this division turns out to be anything like normal production it will be the same story there playing but not competitive. Ive always thought production was supposed to be beginners with pretty stock guns. Not some of the best shooters with highly modified ones, that's what limited and open should be for.where did you come up with that? I didn't realize that Production was only for beginners and once you become a good shooter you're supposed to move to open ....You missed the memo! Looks like he really did miss the memo ^^

Not saying that's the facts just what I always thought while getting started. Putting the best drivers in the slowest cars Just seems backwards but maybe that's just me.

  24. Is there more than one variation of this? All I've seen is 50 shot version. Is there a 36?
