  1. Mold just look wrong when it's all the way in the trigger guard isn't centered, the front edge by the muzzle looks crooked.
  2. I can't get my sti in it good enough to even try to draw. My grand power one holds its setting once you add some locktite and has plenty of thumb room and within 2 inches.
  3. I will call them tomorrow. Opened it today after they were closed.
  4. Anyone else had issues? I just got a ghost stinger for sti/svi from shooters connection. It does not fit well at all no retention whatsoever. The whole thing looks kinda crooked like the retention adjustment screw holes may have been drilled in the wrong spots. I have a sti frame and polymer grip. I have another of the same holster for my grand power and it works great.
  5. I run a 13lb in my .40 open with major pf loads.
  6. Taylor freelance super caps take the 22rd mags to 25 and stay within 170mm.
  7. Have you adjusted the trigger with the set screws yet? Won't physically lessen the actual reset but if you limit over travel you won't have to lift your finger as far to get there.
  8. From reading the op posts it sounds like he only loading to 138 pf in the open gun. And using the same load in the limited. Why would that load burn be so hot it burns the coating off in the open gun and be fine in the limited?
  9. Thanks for the help everyone. I put in a different hammer and it fixed my problem.
  10. Okay. Is that something that wears? The previous owner says he never had the problem.
  11. Those are 17 spots apart on the burn chart are they really similar? Ramshot zip is a lot closer to n320 in that regard.
  12. Had to give up for the night getting too frustrated. Now the gun is together but something is wrong the guide rod is extending past the bushing and I can't get the safety out to tear it down.
  13. Thanks for the responses. It's a used custom gun I bought. My grip safety is pinned if that makes a difference. Im still trying to figure out all the different parts and how they fit together. Any chance of the sear spring playing a role? That did come out when I was taking it apart and not positive I got it back in perfect. Sounds like I'll need to have a gunsmith look at it.
  14. This is my first 2011 and first time working on one. Bought a new custom Sti and am having a problem. When the hammer is cocked and the safety is on pulling the trigger very slightly moves the hammer, then when the safety is lowered the hammer drops all the way. I searched and read that this is caused by hammer to sear engagement. What are the proper steps to fix this and make sure it doesn't happen again? I have another sear and hammer that I can replace if needed. Thanks for any help.
  15. If you're using hodgdon data look at the oal for each bullet. Same weight but different oal, bullet profile, seating depth etc. the 3.3 is already near max pressure in the configuration tested so if you go to 4.8 with the hap the pressure will be drastically higher than at 4.8 in the fmj using the data provided. Don't look at 4 data points like they are related they're not. It's 2 sets of 2 points.
  16. I agree with this if you're talking factory parts. Some people just like to modify and customize things for the fun of it and the 2011 has much more available.
  17. Look at the pressure. At the stated length 3.3gr under the hap is 33,600 I wouldn't go much higher than that.

  19. It says barrel porting completely different thing. . The way I read it any type of slide cuts would be legal, factory or custom.
