  1. Well then let's make it 5........
  2. After 10K rounds or so I see no reason to change from Blue Bullets for 9X19 SNS casting has better revolver bullets IMO.
  3. This thread jumped the shark several pages ago.
  4. The difference is that is an OEM part. The stupid part in question is not. And regardless of Troy McManus' opinion, appendix D4 doesn't allow non-OEM replacement takedown levers.
  5. The amount of butthurt that a change to become like the rest of the world's production division creates is fascinating.
  6. You have a special group of shooters. I don't run matches but I'm never confused by the e-mail from Practiscore telling me I'm now approved to squad out of the wait list.
  7. Let's forget single stack for a minute. Just make up a stage or pick one out of the many WSB/stage diagrams on the net. Show me how you would run it with 10 and then 15 rounds in the gun.
  8. Make up a stage and show it both ways. I'd love to see the result.
  9. I understand quite well. Production is all I shoot. I have a pretty strong grasp of how it works.
  10. +1 He did an adjustable comb on my 686 Sporting. Outstanding work.
  11. Do the same math with 15 in the magazine. Maybe, MAYBE, you might save one reload in a big field stage. Once in a while.
  12. Do you have a rational answer or rebuttal to my question or only sarcasm?
  13. Matching IPSC's production mag capacity will not result in any fewer mag changes per stage unless it's a pretty short stage with less than 7 targets. Or is my math mistaken? What it might do is open up a little creativity in stage design. It also gives a little more leeway (not much) for makeups.
  14. And in your case the burn after you demolish his hit factor. Without using a gaz pedal. Mic drop........
  15. That's what I would do. I encourage you to try production if you have, or don't mind buying, enough magazines. But I'm dumb I like doing it the hard way.
  16. I don't understand this fear of reloading or of iron sights in Production. It's not like you'll be handicapped against others in your division. If you're new to our sport the best you can hope for is mid pack in your division and somewhere in the 50% percentile of the overall; unless you have some insane amount of talent and experience. A dot a full magazines aren't going to help you change those stats.
  17. Other Saturday shooting options: 1. PCSI IDPA second Saturday of the month 2. Richwood IDPA fourth Saturday of the month They both kick off at 10 and are done by 1 PM. How far of a drive those are depends on where one begins from. Google maps will tell you.
  18. The problem is fixed at the squad level as you and others pointed out. If you need to reserve spots for ROs, there are ways to do so without inconveniencing those who like to squad with others ahead of time.
  19. Buy a production gun that is either ready, or easily modifiable, for CO. Win win.
  20. That might have been the gun. It's a known issue.
  21. https://friendsofferdinand.com/ https://www.retiredracehorseproject.org/ https://www.thoroughbredadoption.com/ http://www.horseadoption.com/ https://www.canterusa.org/ They are not throw aways
  22. It's almost as if you have to be (as an RO) ready to physically intervene to stop something like that. I mean like physically controlling someone's arm/hand/pistol so that if it does discharge at least the only hole is in the dirt.
  23. The glossary is there only to provide the narrow meaning of particular words or phrases, not to define when, where, and how a particular word or term is used within the rules. So I'm not surprised the glossary doesn't go into the details of when sweeping applies or is a DQ. Some common sense needs to apply within the context we're discussing here: a pistol with a bullet stuck somewhere in the barrel. Once the pistol has been shown clear (mag out and hammer dropped confirming there's no live ammo in it) then one is free to take it to the safe area and manipulate it however necessary to fix the problem.
  24. I disagree. 10.5.5 clearly states in no uncertain terms that sweeping someone during the course of fire is a DQ'able offense. It says nothing about before and after the course of fire and no creative reading of the English language could come up with an interpretation to the contrary. And on top of that the beginning and end of the course of fire are both clearly defined in the rule book. Long story short: sweeping someone with a handgun can only occur between the time that the RO utters "make ready" and "range is clear". Not before, and not after.
