  1. BINGO! You are just confusing yourself. Run your data in MOA and then dial it on. No need for inches anywhere. Worrying about clicks and inches is just useless conversions. in the end it all comes down to inches on paper, down, up, left or right.. Wasting your time trying to correlate angular to linear measurements is probably how you ran out of time. I'm also going to tell you that you are wrong in your approach to managing dope and comeups, but what do I know, only been shooting precision rifle in one form or another for the past 15 years and ended up as NRA Master in rifle disciplines including LR Prone. You come here asking for help then tell us we're wrong when we tell you what you don't want to hear. Good luck.
  2. Orienteering is a sport, so does that mean that any hiking shoe that could be worn in orienteering competition is illegal in IDPA? Maybe IDPA should try ruling on what is legal footwear, and we can all shop from an approved list of shoes......
  3. 8.2.1.4.1 refers to prohibited modifications.....One would think that means "things you cannot do to the pistol after you buy it". If the pistol is sold in a certain configuration how that can be construed as a prohibited modification is beyond all logic. IDPA is truly reaching into WTF territory.
  4. #2 is fastest if you don't have to screw with your grip to reach the lever #3 is fastest if you have to screw with your grip to reach the lever #1 sucks forget about it
  5. Sure that's right? Seems awfully big to fit in the hammer slot on the back of the slide (assuming that's where you would put the o ring).
  6. Wish I could make it on Mondays but I work much too far away to make that practical.
  7. bobert, thanks for the info. That's pretty cool because the third Sunday does not conflict with the other clubs that I hit. Do they shoot indoors during the coldest months? What's go time on the Sunday matches?
  8. Here is SW Ohio CZs are rare in IDPA (don't know how popular they are in USPSA). BUT a little whirl with a squadmate's SP-01 blew my mind. So much so that within a few weeks I sold my Glocks and bought a P-07 for carry and a 75BD for IDPA. As soon as the credit card cools down I'll be on the hunt for an SP-01 (not sure which flavor yet). Shot one match with the P-07 already and tomorrow will be at it with the 75.
  9. Not sure how wedded you are to 147 gr FP bullets but my 75BD did the same thing a few times with 147 gr RNFPs seated at 1.16 (book length). Rather than dealing with unknown pressures caused by over seating the 147s, I switched to 125 RN seated at 1.10 and the problem went away. I'm loading those 125s to 145 PF (4.6 gr of WST - 1160 fps)
  10. BSeevers Don't worry, I just need to buy a couple more mags and pouches and I'll be jumping in. And I won't play tactical timmy, promise.
  11. Just north of Dayton. I shot a lot of HP rifle (and used to be a member) at MRPC. I shoot IDPA at Clinton County and Oxford mostly, Circleville and Atlanta IN occassionally, so I am familiar with the fact that all those places also hold USPSA matches. I'll be seeing most of you all around........ BTW, any place online to see Miamisburg's USPSA schedule? Everything I can find is out of date by at least a year.
  12. You'll be fine by the rules, but who knows what kind of SO you will get......
  13. Just joined. Mostly IDPA shooter, but getting more and more interested in USPSA as the "issues" with IDPA rules continue......I will leave it at that.
