  1. Do you want to know your gun or leave it to chance? If you were competing against me, I'd definately want you not to check it.... It will be "close"
  2. I have used 3.0 grains of titegroup with both bayou 147gr flat nose and 147gr round nose RMR thick plated bullets. COAL @ 1.115 - 1.120. Both loads averaged right around 905 fps out of my Glock 34.
  3. Thanks for the heads up, was able to snag 8lbs of 320.
  4. Let us know what you think.
  5. I work at an indoor range (as well as shooting weekly outdoor matches and loading my own ammo). My test at the end of last month was a 27. I plan to re-test at the end of next month to see if it is going up. If so I may need to find a new job...
  6. Well I am comparing used prices for this exercise; an SDB set up for 9mm should run ~325. This LnL, after I add a shell plate will be ~375.
  7. Thanks; i was leaning that direction but a local LnL came up for sale at a good price. I think I'll wait for an sdb just needed some encouragement.
  8. I'm looking for a press to load 9mm. I don't load rifle in bulk, but wouldn't mind the versatility. I do have a co-ax for rifle though. I also don't plan to use a casefeeder yet. Assuming you could get the LnL for $50 more, totally ready to load 9mm, do you get the LnL or an SDB?

    Glock Sights

Love my TTI sights but I use them on a G34.
  10. Same thing happened to me last year. My first three handgun purchases were all 1911s (springfield, kimber and dan wesson) and I've shot them plenty. Then I shot a buddies' Infinity sight tracker .40. Finest gun I have ever held/fired. I instantly lost interest in my 1911s, they don't even compare. Unfortunately I can't afford one, but one day I'll have one. The good news is that I shoot glocks in uspsa/3 gun and I'm content with that until I can spring for an SVI.
  11. I shoot both eyes open both up close and at distance. It is best if you can train yourself to do that, but certainly not necessary.
  12. I'd be very careful with a .5gr bump with TG considering you are already at 135pf w/ 3.0grs. I'm certainly not the expert reloader on the forum, but fast powders can cause pressure spikes when loaded near/at/above max, especially with heavy bullets.

    Guide rod

Because I can tune the recoil spring to the loads I'm using and safely use a lighter striker spring.
  14. That carbon arms tube looks great. Is a 12 round tube not an option with the mono tube?
  15. so much for that. I'm not waiting that long. Seals the deal for me as well. Plan was to go with an M2 but I've been tempted to save some money and go with the m3k. I'm sticking with the plan. If you can afford the M2 it's worth having. Still the best gun for the job. You've told me this twice now. I almost didn't listen the first time, but I'm getting the M2. Only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that I'm still wavering between the "full size" gun and the compact for reduced LOP. Unfortunately I don't know enough about shotguns or 3gun to know which fit is "right". But I digress I could certainly see myself with an M3K in the future as a backup shotgun, but first I need to buy something for it to back up

  17. Do you see a mark at the face of the chamber where the firing pin has been smacking the edge?
  18. Looks great! Thanks for the pics. I'll be ordering mine (and a bunch of other TTI stuff) the day a black gen4 model is available.
  19. And some people like vodka. This post inspired by your archer avatar.
  20. Pretty sure that is a 'shop. See: http://www.triangletactical.net/2015/03/12/photo-forensics-the-glocks-first-ever-single-stack-9mm-ad/
  21. Clarify this for us, is the case head separating from the hull or are you saying that the case and hull are only being partially extracted from the chamber (but still fully connected to each other)? The metal is seperating from the plastic hull. The shell only extracts enough that the bolt wont completly close. Other than that ive had no other issues. I'd wait for the experts to chime it (I'm not one of them, I don't even own a Stoeger) but that sounds like an ammo or chamber issue to me. My guess is that the extractor is fine, but as the hull and case head partially separate, it (the case) is bending and slipping out from under the extractor thus leaving part of the hull in the chamber. My first course of action would be to check the chamber for any roughness or burrs that are providing extra friction on the hull (or maybe just polish the chamber) and then also try some different ammo as well.

  23. Can't wait to see the reports, I'm planning on a very similar spec build over the course of this year. I'd also love to hear how the gun functions with the low mass bcg & without adjustable gas while shooting factory 223 loads
  24. They aren't; meant 3.5, i get them confused
  25. I've already placed my order with vortex for a Strike Eagle; Promotive pricing makes it a no brainer and I'm a fan of the brand. I'll just keep shooting with my red dot until it arrives. I was going to order a Razor and I still will, but in the mean time I'll put the strike eagle through some abuse and see how it fares. However it works out I'll give an honest report, and if it breaks I know Vortex will take care of me.
