  1. Dawson gives you a good formula for figuring out front sight height adjustment needed to correct POI - https://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=SIGHTS+FRONT 147s should impact higher. I was switching off between 124s and 147s last night. In my Glock I noticed quite a bit of difference in felt recoil between the two weights (favoring the 147s) but with the added weight of the CZ I felt like the added recoil of the 124 was minimal enough that I might stick with them to save a few cents per round. The 147s did look to be slightly more accurate out of my Shadow than the 124s.

    Need help with TS

Yes Grams too, that's the price you pay for the added capacity. Is there a reason you're doing slide stop reloads? I actually ground off the catch on slide stop so I can lock the slide open by manually pushing up, but the follower can't touch it. You'll find that if you're using bullets with a wider profile like 135gr round nose, loaded longer (>1.135") they will occasionally lock the slide open mid mag because the bullet hits that catch. It's just force of habit. I have typically shot Production division where slide-lock reloads are bread and butter. I had noticed that the Shadows have the extended slide lock levers so it is much easier to execute a slide lock reload on my Shadow than the TS which I thought curious at first. I guess this trade off makes sense now and I know Limited shooters who disable the slide stop as a preference. I just need to adjust my state of mind and learn to count. Thanks again for the responses.

    Need help with TS

I really appreciate your help and the advice of everyone who comes here. While depressing the trigger and working the hammer back and forth it was just barely catching. I moved the over-travel screw not quite a quarter of a turn out and the hammer now moves freely. The doubling was pretty infrequent so hopefully this minor adjustment will resolve the issue. Too bad about the little followers not locking back the slide. Wish that disclaimer would have been on the web site. Is it the same for the Grams spring and followers? I like the looks of the CZC followers and springs and I get 23 9mm in the magazines reliably. Thanks again, Alma

    Need help with TS

I had my TS out text firing today and when I tired to some fast splits I was getting an occasional double on the second shot. Show firing wasn't a problem. I have not do be much internal work except replacing the hammer with the competition hammer and an aluminum trigger with pretravel and over travel. The second issue is the mags not locking back the slide. I hav to remove quite a bit of material from both the large mag well and the back of the extended basepads to get them to engage the mag release. I can our upward pressure on the bottom of the mag to get it to lock the slide back. Should I remove a bit more material from the basepads or is something else in order? I am running CZC's a recommend follower and spring kit.
  5. That reminds me, I was parked outside of a ____Tactical store a few weeks ago. I saw someone walk past my car who was open carrying a HiPoint in a nylon holster. I almost died laughing. I know open carry is legal in this state but if that's what he wants to carry then he should consider concealed.
  6. All true, and it looks like now a lot of matches are even taking that away by making most of the shotgun portions into 9-10 rounds total or if there are more than that there is a huge gap between the arrays to even a 1 at a time guy could probably make it without too much of a hit. And here I moved to open and 10+ round mags... Damn At least we will always have MGM IronMan for SG reloading practice
  7. KKM works but you just need to be more careful of what you feed it.
  8. I run one of the overlaps in the front and one in the back. Which depends on division. For production my outer belt overlaps in the front with the inner at the back. For limited or three gun I run the outer belt overlap on the back.
  9. 3 5/8" I just gave six a try tonight because I was curious if it was even possible. Needless to say the fumble factor is ridiculous but then again before getting the TacCom quads it was pretty hard loading quads off of this same table. Like someone else here said the success of a load has a lot to do with having a consistent shell grab so it's hard to say whether this could fly or not without some type of carriers. 3x2 lined up didn't work at all but grabbing them with three in a triangle pattern and loading the middle one seemed to work okay. On quad loads I have been noticing that for me the hardest part of the load is keeping my second pair out of the way while loading my first. Many have mentioned putting a thumb on the back of the shell stack being loaded but it seems that pushing them a little forward using your thumb before you get into the port had helped me a bit as well.
  10. Quad loading is so old school. I have pretty large hands so I have been Hex loading for days now and I slowed down for the video so that you can see what I am doing but I figure that as soon as someone makes adequate carriers the rest of the 3 gun nation will be taking notice. ^^^^Joking above^^^^
  11. I should mention that the amount of slide to frame play may not necessarily affect accuracy but it can sometime slightly improve the feel of the trigger since the trigger pull pushes upward on the plunger.
  12. I have used KKM and BarSto. In my experience the KKM chamber was tighter caused me issues with anything that would be snug in a chamber checker. The BarSto was the oversized gunsmith fit one. It was very easy to fit with a little bit of work with a file and it was amazing how much it effectively improved the slide to frame play on my 34. The chamber was tight but not too tight like the KKM. I only run it in one gun but it has been very reliable. Given the choice again I wouldn't hesitate to take the BarSto over the KKM.
  13. Right but the 16 and 18 round pads say they are for CZ factory mags whereas the 17 round pays say they fit the mecgear. I assume that is who makes the new CZC mags bit you know what they said abort assuming.
  14. These look great. Do they work on the new CZC 17 rounders as well? Any pictures of what the numbering and and Name options look like?
  15. I agree about not liking the angle on the DOH. I modified it using some strategically placed washers so it's good now but I may go back later to see if I can heat it up and readjust. You should also look at Center of Mas (CoMKydex). They make some good kydex style race holsters.
  16. CZ USA failI ordered one of these because the picture showed the CZUB model. It arrived today and it is the CZ custom mag well. At least they were nice enough to charge me $10 more that CZC sells it for. Wow, that sucks! Now I am really glad I didn't jump on one of the other 3 that were in stock when I checked.
  17. Have you done any CZ TS slides? I was thinking about something like the cuts here with a priority on making it easier to rack the slide. As you know CZs don't give you much real-estate to grab onto for the slides and the cocking serrations leave a lot to be desired.
  18. Is that interpretation of cover still standing? If so then shooting threat targets and immediately doing a flat footed road before moving on would seem to be a faster alternative. This is all so confusing.
  19. Not everyone can afford a Colt so sometimes you just have to make due.
  20. Ouch, I agree... That custom SV is way too nice to sit in an evidence lock box for a year should you need to use it!Yeah, that would be the real crime.
  21. I like the looks of that one since it has a front sight rail option.
  22. As long as it doesn't extend far enough to make a makeshift mag well you are fine. The Houge rubber sleeves were legal but the fact that these are a factory OEM part makes it even easier to say that it's legal.
