EAA/Tanfoglio Chop Shop - NO SELLING OR TRADING
cvincent replied to kneelingatlas's topic in Tanfoglio (EAA / IFG)
Anybody?! Nobody?! EAA wants $85+10 shipping for a set. Or willing to trade a set of EG extreme grips in black. I can't take the thin EG grips, gotta have some meat. Too bad he doesn't make them in the OE thickness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Nice! I want a hunter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That's my exact current load also except for OAL of 1.145 I did run it at 1.165 but was a little long for my tanfo mags. Both rounds check out in my dillion guage just fine. I did bump up powder charge to 5.6 for area 2. 181 PF with no over pressure signs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I understand the Eric grauffel/ EGW differences. I just fiqured guys would upgrade to the EGW sear when going with the Eric Graufell hammers. As far as I can tell, other than being 2 piece I see no differnce in the Sears on my DA/SA gun, compared to my SAO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought those were soft, compared to the EGW sears? I thought Henning had prepped EGW Sears but they are not listed on his site. I've got a raw EGW sear but it's going to take a lot more work to fit than just fitting the safety. Are you guys just running a tanfoglio one piece with the EG hammer? I would have avoided all that and used different bullets. I run my tanfo limited with 180gr. At 1.145. Range pickup, glocked brass goes through my 650 with all standard lee dies, including FCD. (No U die) All function perfectly. The 1 or 2 in 500 rounds that don't case guage. Still guage fine in the barrel, and function firing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking for a nice set of OE wood grips for Large frame, WITH Magwell. Prefer the new style. Thanks -
How is the SA pull with the EG hammer and sear? are the hammer hooks smaller? Less creep?

That's pretty disappointing. Hopefully it gets worked out. Seems like they're charging a thousand bucks for a cerakote job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help me make a decision, Limited pro or Limited elite.
cvincent replied to nchauvin's topic in Tanfoglio (EAA / IFG)
Limited elite for sure! The da/SA trigger doesn't even compare to the limiteds SA only. My limited trigger is pretty badass, almost 2011 badass. In my stock 2 the hammer hooks are huge compared to the limited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That guiderod contact mark will continue to get worse and push up the metal. Hennings confit guiderod will eliminate this problem. Not sure on the circular marking. It's kind of odd, perhaps a tanfo guru can help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's happened to me a few times, forget to reload mags or don't load to capacity. There I am doing a surprise, slide lock, standing reload. I've included measurements in case anyone would like to duplicate. Pictures of how the measurements are taken is easier than describing. K40 mags, Henning base pads. .759" .449" 19 rounds loaded 20 rounds loaded to capacity. I've never been able to get the advertised 21 rounds, so I stick with 20. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The hole for the trigger roll pin is offset
cvincent replied to jaep1911's topic in Tanfoglio (EAA / IFG)
The hole on my limited was a scoshe off. I clearanced the frame a little bit. Was not as bad as the hole in the article. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thanks to Gump for the stock 2! My thumb rest is a DAA adjustable that I cut up/modified I had to cut it down for slide racking purposes. I like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did you use a slave pin for the trigger install, a lot easier. A straw from a brakeclean can works great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fast or slow burning powder - which is better
cvincent replied to jimbullet's topic in 10mm/40 Caliber
I shot area 2 with 5.7 gr n340, 180 LTC moly. 181 PF, no pressure issues noted, recoil felt the same as 5.3 grains, which was close to 165 PF. also just chrono some minor rounds, with same powder. 4.0 gr landed around 720 fps, 125 pf. accuracy was decent, shot a little low. soft recoil. -
The pin hole in my limited was slightly offset. I opted to clearance the frame a scoshe. Not nearly as much as pictured in that article. The magwells fit my limited and stock 2 nicely as well. I opted to blend a little however, took slight amounts of material from the frame as the Magwell is a little bit bigger. Just makes a nice smooth transition. As far as 140mm mags ready to go, henning may have them ready to go if you call him, I have seen them advertised in his site, but never an option to buy the complete unit. I've never had an issue with buying the base pads, grams guts slapping them on the mag. They did fit the gauge if they were in there just right. I opted to take a small amount of material from the rear of the feed lips, .010" maybe. just to be certain the guy running the gauge didn't bump me to open. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
