Well, it's the brass shavings getting sucked into the bearing that creates the issue. I've verified this when the router was new, Created very little heat after an hour of forming brass. After a while noticed it getting very hot after just 30 cases. I've since cleaned out the shavings and made a disc out of kydex that basically creates a shield from the motor that fits around the end mill and inside the trimmer adapter. Very noticeable difference in temperature. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Have you the used the end mill and boring bar, and prefer the latter? I just ask because I use an end mill on the Bosch router to make 300 blk brass, and I find that the swarf? Or brass shavings get sucked up into the bearing in the router motor. This creates a lot heat in the motor. And most likely will kill the motor and/or bearing quickly. As far as re setting depth of the end mill I just mark it with a sharpie then use a depth mic to measure its depth. Not too big of a hassle. The motor burning out is my concern. Just curious to other users concerns or experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Can't answer the question but, why do you guys want the bar over an end mill? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Move the nose guide inward. Loosen the wingnut, move it till the noses drop down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Make sure the flipper ramp is set properly. And Also make sure the nose guide is not too far out. If it's too far out it will not drop down and flip, you only need a little bit of a ledge to keep the upright Bullets upright. Also if the casefeeder and/or bullletfeeder are moving while operating the machine can cause issues. I found that mounting both feeders independent of the press and bench works best. I have mine mounted to the wall completely isolated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finishing SVI gun build... sight tracker option?
cvincent replied to 1911FL's topic in 1911-style Pistols
I've got a SV sight tracker, and an Sti edge. The edge has a stainless SV grip, so they're probably close to the same weight. The sight tracker is a lot snappier, with the same ammo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yeah you gotta torque the shit out of it. I stick the wrench in a vice, the die in the wrench then torque the nut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Need advice - troubleshooting 40 loads with coated bullets
cvincent replied to JayDee's topic in 10mm/40 Caliber
The Dillion case gauges seem to be rather large. Haven't measured it, cause I'm not really concerned. But rounds that fail rim first into the hundo, pass the Dillon gauge. Unless your gonna box the ammo in Dillon boxes, hundo is not really faster IMO. Still gotta stick each round in the hole. One at a time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I used to run every piece through a GRX, then load with a standard Dillion size die, finish with a Lee FCD. I have since omitted the GRX with no ill effects. All range pick up, whatever brass. I have less than 3% failure rate. Actually, believe it or not, the non GRX sized rounds case gauge better in the XL hundo, than the ammo that was run through the GRX. Makes no sense to me. They all shoot fine, they would just drop in the case gauge more fully. These are Bayou 180 TCG. You might try it without the U die. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Can you elaborate? Is a wedge under the safety needed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Perhaps it's super tight like an Infinity. I have to use the method in the video to get it out of my infinity. Skip to 3:55 ish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't say about the SR, but I've used probably 10K of the small pistol, no problems. They do tend to seat a little harder than CCI on the 650. Had a few high primers that I never had with CCI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If my rounds don't fit fully in the XL hundo, I stick them in backwards, if they fit, it ships. If not they're practice rounds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just copied AACs recommendation. For now to get started. http://www.advanced-armament.com/assets/images/pdf/manuals/300BLK-AACUpper-MiniBro.pdf 11.2 Gr of AA1680 at 2.089" OAL With leatherhead 220 Gr coated Bullets. Bolt won't lock back unsuppressed, but in my buddies 8.3" suppressed, it locks back. I'm 6 months in on my suppressor, so still waiting... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
