  1. Your screwed like the rest of us. You don't end up on Enos until the sickness has completely taken hold... I take my kids to the range all the time. 8 and 11 - they love it!
  2. I have screwed around with this quite a bit and the best shots we got came from the head strap. I did a muff mount and it was very shakey from movement and long gun recoil. It also transmits a ton of negative sound to the mic. I highly recommend running it concurrent with a smartphone or hand cam. This gives you two angles and a much better soundtrack. 3. Welcome to the Forums! Real men shoot revolvers which makes me more of a man-child...
  4. I did it myself and while tedious it turned out pretty good. Read the rulebook and practice. I used a Mossberg pistol grip I have laying around to get comfortable with the idea of permanently melting my favorite pistol.
  5. Welcome to the forums and thanks for your service. +1 on the get out and shoot local - you will thank yourself!
  6. Tim at Taccom is one of the best out there! Doesn't surprise me in the least!
  7. You may want to consider switching to a stipple grip. There are some obvious drawbacks, permanence being number one, compliance for your shooting sport and class is another. I switched a few months ago and really like it for my 3 Gun pistol. Very positive - not nearly as aggressive.
  8. Welcome from St. Paul! Where do you shoot clays?

  11. Welcome to the Forums - On the other side of 35 now but Texas is always near and dear...
  12. Sig P239 with 2 spare mags - long day...... Especially for the guys behind me!
  13. The Burris does hold its zero but is a little on the bulky side compared to the Larue and QD. Mine came with the Burris 1-4 I started with and has never done me wrong. Having said that I have switched this season to the Vortex glass and am looking for a lighter and less bulky mount. Not sure if this applies to you but I have been looking at 2 of the low profile Vortex rings. I run an ace skeleton and could still get a a good look through the glass and maintain a solid cheek weld while bringing the optic down several millimeters closer to the barrel. Might be worth looking at and would love to hear from the more seasoned shooters on this approach.
  14. It's retained in the holster never removed just removing the holster. It is as inert in the holster on the cart as it is on the belt. I always ask the RO if he is okay with it and never had a problem yet. Before I had the ELS we would just call the range hot and bag the guns if not needed or find a safe table. ahhh thanks ... I'll be sure to make sure the RO is ok with it.... would suck to get my pee pee slapped right outta the gates ..... I don't like running with my belt on all day and take off any un-required gear whenever I can. I recently added a Tek-Lock to my holster for this very reason. So far every match has considered my pistol in the holster as cased - I think the idea of checking with the RO is very sound and will take your advice.
  15. Great advice - +1 on the blade-tech mag holder.
  16. Here is a video we did on belt setup for our "Getting Started in 3 Gun" series. Might help - might not... Just one of a million ways to do it.
  17. Welcome to the forum and the sickness that is 3 gun...
