  1. I recently switched to steel and I can't believe how much more fun I am having on range days. I picked up 4 5" plates on shepard hooks, 2 10" steel auto poppers and a 2/3 IPCS on a static stand. I knew that it would be great for pistol training but the real surprise was the rifle. I set the poppers up at 100 and 200 meters and shot at them with different positions (off hand, prone, or off staging) while sprinting downrange in 25 yard increments on the otherwise empty bay. I discovered several little technique flaws when my heart got pumping that I have never been able to address at a match. I could go on - I am like a kid at Christmas right now with a new set of toys...
  2. No clue on the stroller brand - It doesn't fold down like any jogging stroller I have ever seen. Not sure where you live but there are several on Craigslist here in the twin cities for under $50. A friend of mine has the purpose built stroller and I am a little jealous of the loading trays and the rain cover he has. Might be worth it for the extra cash. Just one rookies opinion... M
  3. At the end of the day I think you just need to spend more time with your gun. All of the above are good suggestions. The more time you spend; the more comfortable you will get with your equipment and more importantly with your own abilities. I would rather have a guy like you running around at a match than someone with equal experience that is totally unaware of what they are doing. Good huntin' M
  4. My friend just picked one up and with the exception of the logo I couldn't tell the difference between it and my cr speed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  7. +1 for lifeproof. I got black but they make a pretty good looking FDE and ranger green on top of the more standard colors. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  8. Thanks - I am looking forward to moving from paper to steel for training.

  10. +1 on the MTAC but for $100 more you can get a vortex viper and never have to swap it out. Just sayin' I have purchased 3 scopes now going down the same road. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  11. I have an opportunity to pick up a UFB Steel target with stand from Shaw Shooting (image attached) used. It has never been shot at. I couldn't find any reviews and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with these specifically for 9mm and .223. Thanks, Mark

  14. I Generally run a pair of really comfortable ballistic rated sunglasses whenever I can (Wiley, Smith, Oakley, Costa, Etc.). I keep a set of Smiths with Clear, Smoke and Rose lenses in my bag. Between the 2 I always have what I need - Options are king at a match. Good huntin' Mark
