  1. Nothing wrong with an aimpoint, I shot with one for a few years and still have one on my back-up. Then again what daddy wants daddy gets.
  2. Check out those mag pouches.
  3. A conservative plan is a losing plan, I have to go for it.
  4. Come on dude google: http://speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?ID=SVRM38170&n=SVI-Replacment-Mag-Tube-17OMM--38/9MM
  5. In my para I used an unmodified SV, and a Grams tuned tube with no problems. I would find a buddy with a SV tube and test it out.
  6. open duh, going to try and talk my brother into slumming with me for a bad boys weekend ...
  7. I'm pretty sure Saul and his crew did NOT follow the limited SS, he bailed after the open match.
  8. I started with 9mm, now I'm shooting supercomp for a whole host of reasons. Oh yeah and I've got a couple of open guns for sale both in 38 supercomp.
  9. FYI there is a membership meeting at nationals every year, but I understand people like to complain shrouded by the anonymity provided by the internet.
  10. What? If I had a choice I'd shoot almost everything out to fifty with a pistol, even that clay.
  11. Jim: There really was no goo way to do what you wanted in these ports, Gary is right the targets were obscured by barrels/props, you had to get in there and nail the position. Thanks to Paul here's how Taran did it: Dave on stage five, the first position on the right had a very similar set up:
  12. The bullet has to stay in the case threw cycling.
  13. Drank all my beer ... close this it's Saturday.
  14. Chuck: One has to slow down coming into the port any way, unless you want to crash into the wall. On stage three I shot the visible target (T1) on the way in at each of the three "ports" call good hits, squirt (technical term I use for targets so close one sees the hits as one shoots them) a couple of rounds at the target around the corner (T2) and explode out of the position. I felt that running up, setting up for the T2 then backing up or leaving on T1 was a looser on this stage your pistol/sights had to go right threw T1 to engage T2, one had to stop hard to hit T2 first, then back up slow to leave on T1. In all three positions T2 could have been bayoneted, even so you had to stop to hit them.
  15. I love how a discussion on a GREAT match at a FABILOUS range, staffed by FRIENDLY people ends up degenerating into a chrono report.
  16. I shot the Canadian IPSC Nationals in 2008 they did Provincial teams in each division; it seemed to work out well. I have no idea how the teams were selected, but I hope there was a competitive selection. I shot with the Ontario team and they were all invested in winning the team title. We could do it by state, or area, but I think all this handy cap/only one gm on a team is BS if we are calling what we do a sport there has to be winners and losers. Your state/area only has one second rate limited GM (speaking as a second rate open GM myself) tuff, I guess your playing for third or fourth.
  17. Charles: I have no delusions about what a non profit is, however as I read the by laws it is the boards (which in this instance means you) responsibility to "i.) To promote amateur national and international athletic competition," what I read in your posts you are saying is that USPSA should get out of Multi-gun because it's too expensive. Well get out there and promote the sport, attract more shooters and grow the organization as a whole.
  18. Charles: That's unbelievable, especially coming from a Director of USPSA whose mission it is to promote practical shooting. I pulled this from the USPSA bylaws 1.2 Organization: This corporation shall be organized as a non-profit non-stock corporation under the general corporation laws of Delaware. It shall be in existence in perpetuity or until formally dissolved by the action of competent authority. 1.3 Forming and Maintaining this Corporation as Non-Profit: It is the intent and desire of the corporation that it, and its bylaws, complies with the requirements of the United States government in the forming and maintaining of this corporation as a non-profit entity. ARTICLE 3 - OBJECTS AND PURPOSES: The objects and purposes of this corporation shall be i.) to promote amateur national and international athletic competition, 3.1 Direction: In order to accomplish its stated purposes the corporation shall i.) set forth and publish rules and guidelines for the conduct of practical shooting contests, ii.) establish a system for classifying competitors within various classes of abilities, iii.) establish and publish the corporate newsletter, defined herein as Front Sight Magazine, iv.) establish and direct the National Range Officer Institute, a division of the corporation, to train and certify range officials, v.) establish a system for qualifying competitors to participate in national championship contests, vi.) conduct national championship contests annually in order to determine champions and qualify team(s) of competitors to represent the United States in international competition(s), and vii.) conduct other business and activities to accomplish the purposes of the organization as the Board of Directors may authorize from time-to-time.
  19. While there may have been other problems with the Larue's at this years Multi gun Nationals, they could be seen easly withthe naked eye.
  20. And here I am thinking about the smell of hops ... Mmmm there is a nice IPA waiting for me when I get home.
  21. Dave I'm looking to get my wife a smaller camera for back-up/casual (she's just replaced her broken Reble XS with a 5D). What's up with the G10 vs. the G11, I know it's not all about MP's but why would they go from 14 to 10?
