  1. I guess the old case feeders didn't come with that clip. I never had a issue with 223, but had a ton of issues with 300aac until I moved that clip over.
  2. I use a 15/16" wrench on mine. The Dillon die lock nuts are 1".
  3. Sorry to go off topic, but that's a nifty reloading setup you got there, especially with limited space.
  4. I did that same jump a few years back. All I wondered to myself is what took me so long. hahha The 650 is in all honesty a pretty simple machine. Once you change calibers (primer size) a few times you will have the hang of it in no time.
  5. Yes you will be able to still use the cut down toolhead for other calibers. Can't say for sure about 308 but with 223 it will work fine. You will need to put something between the trimmer and vacuum attachment to keep it positioned right though.
  6. A few things aren't really necessary. You can make your own toolhead stands easy and cheap. Low powder sensor isn't necessary as it sits right in front of your face. Toolholder and wrench is not necessary either. It already comes with what you need. Bushing driver came with my 1050. Maintenance kit comes with the spare parts kit You only need to get 1 extra toolhead. The machine already comes with one which is setup. You still need a 223 die set I would buy a 1" combination wrench to for Dillon lock rings. I would buy a 15/16" socket for the toolhead bolt. Bullet tray would be nice. I have never needed to replace my index ball spring. These items I have had to replace.... 13944 - Indexer Return Spring 13624 - Index Pawl Spring 13705 - Index Pawl
  7. I use this one from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NPXJD2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. I just started doing 9mm on my 1050 and I swear 25% of my primers get pulled back in. Gonna try a few of these other methods and hopefully it helps.
  9. I don't got a pic handy, but on my Lee Universal Decapping die I file down 3 sides at maybe a 30° angle.
  10. Accuracy varies greatly between different people. When developing loads for my bolt guns I aim for .25moa at 100 yrds, but I know people who load for their bolt guns and are happy with 1moa at 100 yrds. For most 308 bolt guns I have seen they generally all like the 168 SMK, 175 SMK, 168 A-Max and 178 A-Max over a variety of powders. I have always had Varget and all my rifles love it.
  11. Yup looked at all the paint sections and even asked if they carried any. they all said no and didn't mention anything about it being illegal. Either way, my friend had about half a quart and gave it to me. Gonna try it out tonight.
  12. I want to try some mineral spirits with my dry tumbling, but can't find any locally in the Los Angeles/SGV area. I have already been to Home Depot, Lowes and a ACE with no luck. Any suggestions?
  13. I use 175gr SMK or 178gr A-Max. Excellent at 100 yrds or 1000.
  14. How did you mount the microswitch near station 7/8? Did you just drill into the press?
  15. All of my pistol brass is mixed, but this is not for competition. All of my rifle brass is sorted by head stamp.
  16. Like others have said...Go 550 since you use your own dies and have the option to do rifle.
  17. I used a Gem Pro 250 for a while until I got a RCBS Chargemaster Combo. I also got a $20 Frankford Arsenal as a backup. All are excellent, but depends on your budget.
  18. Are you referring to the set screw that limits how much the index arm goes?
  19. If you want AKRO bins, you can get them pretty much anywhere. Iv'e seen them at Grainger and also Frys.
  20. I use the same one that does 223 with no modifications.
  21. The clear harbor freight ones work well. For storage I just use the cheap Sterilite bins from Wallyworld.
  22. Just read the instructions and set it up for pistol first. Go slow and don't force anything. Once you change over calibers a few times you will learn that it's actually pretty simple.
  23. Looks real good. I could definitely use one for 9mm and 223! 3D printer?
  24. Did you try putting the lock rings for the other dies on the bottom side?
