  1. Can anyone recommend a grease gun and grease so I can do up my 1050?
  2. I had this happen to me as well before. Forgot how I cured it, but yes it has happened before.
  3. Yea, I tried the blade on all 3 sides and it was a brand new blade as well. I'll probably just toss these since I bought new ones. I actually got an email from McMaster Carr earlier today and they told me to get 3289A86 as a direct replacement for the discontinued 3289A81
  4. It definitely was not that. I turned it around (it didn't fit in that well) and the cut was god awful.
  5. I have a 1200 and 1500 trimmer and both produce very ugly cuts on my 223. I am thinking it is the blades that I use. I use these from carbidenow.com. Anyone else have another supplier for better blades I can try?
  6. Anyone else having problems with Wolf Gold 223 primers sticking to the decapping pin? I already cut the end of the pin to an angle and yes it works very well for nearly all brands of brass except Wolf Gold 223. Right now I am getting about 1 in 5 stuck which is a major PITA. I'm using the Lee Universal Decapping Die with the tip shaved down to a 45° angle. I have also tried it with a brand new untouched pin as well.
  7. Probably just not enough demand for one. EVERYTHING for the 1050 is ridiculous expensive. Just adding a (same primer size) caliber runs around $500 if not more.
  8. Does anyone make a aftermarket toolhead for the Super 1050? I want to add more calibers, but the price of just the toolhead is $200!
  9. It looks like it means the brass is already processed, so there is no need to resize in station 2. Yes the expander die is part of the swage station and can't be moved.
  10. https://krakenpop.com/ seems like the goto place to buy. I get mine from grafs as I get a Dealer discount there.
  11. Congrats on the nice setup. Here are a few items you should get. Extra primer tubes Spare Parts Kit Indexer Return Spring - 13944. Have at least 1 spare. If it gets pinched and snaps, it puts you out of commission. Spent primer bracket (so you can connect a tube that goes to a bottle etc) Heavy Duty Index Pawl. The standard ones are so weak and will go bad with a autodrive. Heavy Duty Swage Rod. Won't need it yet, but replace the stock one with this when yours goes out. Primer Pocket Swage Gauge I would start without the ammobot and get a feel for the 1050. then add it in when you feel more comfortable.
  12. I know the set comes with a rough cut and a trim die. Are they both the same die or is there any difference between the 2?
  13. Usually about 15 minutes if you know what you are doing.
  14. It sounds like a power issue. Maybe the plug is bad, or something along those lines.
  15. I started on a single stage, then to a Lee Classic Turret, then to a Hornady LNL AP, then to a Dillon 650. Currently I own a single stage, Dillon 550 and 1050. The only reason I sold the 650 and got a 550 is because I like the manual indexing. Hoping to get a case feeder for the 550 soon too.
  16. It does work. Same thing happens with the Lee Universal Decapping die. I usually grind down 3 sides but make sure not to make it super pointy as it may pierce through the primer.
  17. Shadowing above. Make sure the toolhead and shell plate are tight enough. Also make 100% sure you are doing full strokes.
  18. The problem with the sensor for me is how it works. It looks if a spent primer falls down the chute. I bulk process for people on a commercial level and some of the brass doesn't have primers in them.
