  1. Better late than never! I started with a different color before settling on Dillons.
  2. Can't go wrong with a XL650. It will serve you well. Just take care of it and go slow. Dillon ships via Fedex.
  3. They said it most likely broke because of vibrations, but not 100% sure. They also said if it was positively a vibration break it wouldn't be covered. They can't say for sure so they are sending me a new one.
  4. The 1200 or 1500 is not very hard to adjust. Just turn the trimmer down a little at a time to adjust length. Adjusting a Giraud will take a lot longer since you have to adjust the blade every time.
  5. Just got a return email from PW. Not covered under warranty and $25 + shipping for a replacement.
  6. At a comfortable rate, I can do 400-500 per hour assuming I have primer tubes loaded. If you need faster than that, get a autodrive lol.
  7. All my rounds except match rifle rounds go into the tumbler with some corn. Come out nice and clean.
  8. I just use some light dish soap. Cleans up nicely.
  9. Not sure what I did wrong or what caused this. But today when simply decapping and swaging the arm just snapped. I had it setup just right where it wouldn't bottom or top out. Common problem? Did I set it up wrong? Is this covered under warranty?
  10. I read on the Dillon forum about using the LP plate with 2 washers. I did this and it doesn't work very well. Generally the problems are that the plate tilts and brass get stuck under the plate and sometimes 2 drop at once usually leaving 1 of them upside down. Does anyone have a better method for this or is this it?
  11. Bringing back a old thread from the dead but have a question. In station 1 where the brass gets fed, the brass simply misses the shell plate and falls to the floor. I only use my 1050 for processing 223 brass, so don't know about other calibers. Is this the fix/part for me?
  12. I got a dab of oil on it. Will try out some nice grease. Oil won't cut it, as you've found out. Gotta be grease. Do you grease the roller too? or just the bolt the roller goes on?
  13. I got a dab of oil on it. Will try out some nice grease.
  14. Thats what I would replace first. Every 1050 owner should keep a few of these on hand. How often on avg do you guys change the spring? This one is only maybe 10k rounds old. Will definitely check that. Pretty sure it is in correctly though. Nope, no washer.
  15. Still not sure if they are replacing it yet. Based on their emails they think it was my fault and wouldn't be covered.
  16. Not sure what is going on here. The index arm sometimes gets stuck causing some mishaps. Just not sure what it can be. I take out the arm and clean it up and put it back in. Sometimes it makes it a few hundred to 1000 or sometimes it just goes back to doing it. Sometimes it loosens itself up and indexes correctly, but sometimes it just stays stuck. Dillon Super 1050 sticky index arm - YouTube Anyone know what causes this or has a fix?
  17. Mine snapped not too long ago and made the plunger useless as it had the threads stuck inside. Dillon sent me a new set and it is like you described. Sooooo much better now eliminating a issue.
  18. I was using the CH4D Dillon Trim Die to convert 223 to 300AAC and has always worked fine until today. All of a sudden I hear a thud and see my Dillon 1500 trimmer on the bench next to my press. The die snapped in half! Has this happened to anyone before? I am kinda thinking the weight of the 1500 trimmer over the 1200 trimmer caused this? I already emailed CH4D for a warranty replacement.
  19. Do I adjust it to just kiss the stops or very slightly cam it over?
