  1. Suggestions? Increase your budget...lolThis is what I use now: http://www.amazon.com/Outdoors-G-P-S-Handgunner-Backpack-Black/dp/B00A5C17GO/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1434828349&sr=1-1&keywords=gun+backpack I don't use the gun rack so that space fits 4 3600 series Plano boxes. Works out very well for revolver and it's very well made. It doesn't fit as much "stuff" as you would think though, but it would hold everything you mentioned. Have you compared the GPS backpack to a DAA Rangepack? I'm trying to decide between the two but I've never seen a GPS Bag in person. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk It's close to the same size. The reason I like the GPS bag is because of the bottom pocket. When I shoot revolver, the Plano 3600 series boxes that I use, holds moonclipped ammo just right. I can stack 3 boxes of ammo and one box for loader and tools. I still go back to my Shooter's Connection pro bag for pistols. I'd say that the DAA backpack uses it's space a little better than the GPS bag. If you're talking about the DAA Rangepack Pro, I don't really consider it a backpack. I've seen dozens used at ranges and only one person actually had it on as a backpack.
  2. If you want more organization, you can always hit up the local airsoft/surplus store for molle pouches )
  3. I just ordered one of these for my G34/35 and was wondering if it's secure enough for 3 gun, or should I just stay with the standard DOH Blade Tech? Thanks.
  4. This might save you a little: http://www.amazon.com/Tactical-15-817107000-Enhanced-Military-Assault/dp/B0052EV1O8/ref=sr_1_13?s=hunting-fishing&ie=UTF8&qid=1434829924&sr=1-13&keywords=voodoo I have this bag. It's a copy of the 5.11. It's not the same quality as the 5.11 or the GPS bags, but it's good enough.

  6. OP, what is the advantage of doing this, that outweights the disadvantages? Just would like to know
  7. The cameras that the shooter wears provide an interesting perspective. If you really want to use it as a learning tool, you're much better off having a friend take the videos. Use whatever camera you already have or even your phone. The advantage of the Contour type cameras, if they're head mounted, it's always with you and is hands free.
  8. I got a pair...save your money. Now, if you could find those aluminum grip panels that were discontinued a few years ago
  9. While I believe the 9mm single stack would be the ideal open division gun for steel challenge, it's only good for that one division/sport. The double stack can at least be used for both steel challenge and USPSA Open divisions. If you're trying to be practical
  10. The last thing you want to hear when you're shooting steel challenge is "nice reload".
  11. IMO, a single stack 9mm would be a great gun for limited. If you wanted to advance to Open, just a new barrel/comp and red dot will get you there. It holds 9 or 10 rounds, but then, if you need more than 9, you've blown the string anyway. Sorry, won't work for production though.
  12. Isn't that what laudromats are for???? That and shop rags
  13. LIke I said above, the one for a .410 bore shotgun works for me...dry. Pull it through every chamber once, every other stage.
  14. Try a .40 caliber steel bore brush (thank you Bubber) The .410 bore snake works well for me. One pull through and it's done.
  15. Had the same trouble with my 627. Would drop in for the first 70-80 rounds, then I would have to push the clip in to fully seat the bullets Now I run a bore snake through after every other stage...no problems.
  16. I think you answered it yourself "goes in the gun prior to the "make ready" command"...if you do that, you won't have to worry about a spare magazine
  17. I've had a can sitting on a shelf for a year or two. Doesn't do anything that keeping a mag clean doesn't do.
  18. What's interesting is "course of fire" is not defined in the rule book. So after completing 5 runs with my rimfire pistol is my course of fire complete or is it complete after I've shot my rifle? We aren't having any issues at our club match but I'm thinking ahead for our tier II match in October and I'm thinking we'll want to paint after every run. It's not in the rules that I've seen but I would be interested to know what advantage the shooter gets by shooting back to back. I suppose you could say the first run could serve as a warm up for the second run and I suppose that's true. For me the differences between shooting a pistol and rifle are great enough that I don't perceive any advantage. For our NSSF matches where we shoot the same stage with pistol and rifle we do shoot all stages with pistols and then go back through them a second time and shoot with rifles. At higher level matches, shoot one gun through all the stages. Shoot the other gun either later in the day, or if it's a big shoot, it's done on another day.
  19. Well, the rule reads "shall be repainted prior to each contestants first run on each course of fire" , so, if you're doing each contestant's runs back to back, you did repaint for the contestant's first run and the contestant never left the course of fire. Just sayin
  20. Thanks. When I bought my wagons, the on line reviews said the weak point were the wheels. I've been working on adapting other wheels when the origionals break, but they haven't yet.
  21. This is the one I use now, it collapses in both directions, so it packs smaller, about 1/2 the footprint of the other type of wagon. How/where did yours break? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-Collapsible-Folding-Wagon-Grey/41126896 I also have this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sandusky-36-x-22-x-25.5-Light-Duty-Folding-Wagon/23009897
  22. If you don't get spring bind, why would you want to cut the spring?
  23. Heck, if you're looking for a quality bag, i.e. Shooter's Connection type, you're only a tank of gas away from the bag you REALLY want
