  1. I’m the first one to admit that I could be wrong, but there is no such thing in pistol dies. The only thing inside pistol dies is a decapping pin. It plays no part in the sizing operation. Pistol dies just simply squeeze the case walls back down to spec. Are you taking about a Lyman M die? That has a plug that expands. But has nothing to do with resizing. 2. Another though. I know some people have zero issues with the Dilllon dies, but I actually switched to Lee dies. Both u dies and even regular Lee dies. Reason being, the Dillon dies have a radiused opening which is intended to allow a case to enter more easily on progressive presses if they happen to be just slightly off center as the press is indexing. In my case I found the Lee dies (especially in range pick up 9MM) to size the case down just a tiny bit further. Again, just a though. I wouldn’t run out and buy new dies until you maybe try some of the other things suggested first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry. I missed this one. Disregard my undersized comment. I’m surprised a plated bullet is .356. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Lead bullets tend to be the opposite of plated, and sized larger than .355. So a coated .356 or bigger bullet may be the ticket. Especially in a revolver. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That much crimp will for sure ruin the plating and cause accuracy issues. Plated bullets really are unable to take any type of crimping action the would lead to more “neck tension”. The platting is relatively soft and any deformation will lead to the platting separating at velocity and typically ruin accuracy. With played bullets it’s more than likely that the only crimp you will be able to use is just enough to take any bell back out. Of course nothing holds true 100% of the time, but that tends to be the case with plated more often than not. I have also run into many plated bullets that are a tad undersized. Combine this with a shorter length bullet since it’s 115gr, and your coal length of 1.145”, and you may just have a slightly undersized bullet with not enough of the bullet down inside the case for the neck to hang onto? That was a little convoluted, does it make sense? Not sure how else to say it. May I suggest seating your bullet deeper just as experiment to see if makes any difference? It may just turn out to be the case that that bullet case gun combo may not work together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Wet tumbling is most effective when de priming first. I really only wet tumble rifle brass after I have deprimed, resized and trimmed. I think I may have tried to wet tumble pistol brass once with primers still in and it made the water so much dirtier and took longer to come that it didn’t seem practical. 9. Just curious why one would choose 38 super over 9 major? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The open guns being produced right now by the top custom companies are simply works of art. They are almost too beautiful to shoot. Wish I had the time to make it worth it to invest in one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pretty standard ref the mag well. I etched around the inside with the magwell on to give me an idea of what material need to come out. Then took the magwell off to grind it down with the dremel. Also finished the inside with some mag wheel polish and super fine sandpaper. I had to put the magwell on and off to see where material still needed to be removed. Just do it slow. Can’t put it back. Running hand loads of PD 180 JHP and 4.5 grs. of Titegroup at 1.125”. Haven’t had a failure yet. Probably put 500-600 rounds through it and shot one one match. Only it had it about a month. 12. Nothing wrong with that. All personal preference. I just find the Hornady to be less messy and work better for pistol purposes. I use a large cheap Wally World deep sided sheet pan. Fill it with a blue acro bin worth of shells. Spray. Roll em around, spray again. Maybe try hitting the MBF funnel with some fine sand paper too. It will also wear in a little with usage, I’d assume. I never had the issues with any of my MBF funnels, but I know many others have. I’d like to think it’s cause I’ve always used the One Shot, but who knows? Luck of the draw maybe. I do know the One Shot makes the loading process much smoother. Sometimes when I’m at the end of a run and I need just a few more shells, I’ll just through a couple in the hoper without the One Shot. Man, I can tell instantly when I get to the unlubed shells. It’s like night and day. Hope if works for ya. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. +P Large charges of “slower” burning powder. Silhouette, HS-6, AA#7, etc. Use good bullets like Speer Gold Dots or Hornady XTP’s at a minimum . I like the Lehigh XTREME Defense bullets in .380 and 9MM as well. I prep my SD brass just like precision rifle rounds. New brass, flash hole deburred, fully resized. I load them on my 550, but basically load one at a time. Measuring each powder charge. Almost single stage style. Try different bullet weights as well. I’ve found 147’s and AA#7 to be a great combo. Top velocities and accurate. Same with Silhouette and 115 / 124’s. High end velocity and very accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. This is not true and has long since been debunked yet it’s one of those internet rumors that won’t die. There has never been a single documented case of this happening. Or even the issue being brought up in court. And yes, I’ve spent hundreds of hours in an actual court of law and on the stand as a former police officer (something I’m not proud of). Not specifically in an cases regarding this, but I have a solid understanding of how the legal system works and just don’t see this ever being an issue. If someone is going to be prosecuted for an improper self defense shoot there just isn’t any legal jurisprudence for this to hold any water. It’s going to be centered around whether that persons life or the life of others in the immediate vicinity was or was not in immediate danger, and was the use of force appropriate in the force continuum. There are probably plenty of decent arguments to make regarding why you shouldn’t carry reloads for self defense, but the one above isn’t one of them. I’ve never seen an argument that changed my mind personally, but to each his own. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I like the looks of the F4E one too. Does anyone have any first hand experience with that one? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for the info. Shot my first match the other night. That stock thumb rest kills my giant Wookiee thumb. So I’m gonna need to take it off or replace it. Was the modification just rounding the edge to match the cut out? Do you have any pics? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Introduction

I have a bazillion Glocks, but am new to Sig as well. Just picked up a P320 M17 last week. I have a 19X so in figured I needed the Sig to match. I have only put a couple hundred rounds through it but I’m in love [emoji3590]. It is for sure the most accurate out of the box striker fired pistol I have ever shot. I took the Deltpoint Pro off my G5 G17 MOS, slapped it on my Sig and it was good to go. Didn’t even have to move the zero one click. Shot my buddy’s P320 Legion the other day. I must say, I’m jumping on the bandwagon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’ve been lucky. I’ve on had a couple squibs. Both rifle and pistol, but I caught it due to failure to feed the next round, as the round didn’t go deep enough in the barrel to allow the next round into the chamber. They were all due to 0 grs of powder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Does it make any difference whether or not you’re using the optics mount? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I thought I remember reading somewhere that even though the IPSC Alex says it direct bolt on it still required some fitting, am I misremembering that? Not familiar with the F4E one. If those are true bolt on options that’s interesting. When I got my TSO I looked a little for a thumbrest but it seems like most of them required gun modification which I was interested in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Using a Montana Gold 95gr JHP I’m shooting these out of a G3 G34 with an agency arms barrel. Most of the initial testing was done with a Lonewolf extended barrel which is why some of the intial chrono reading where higher. I settled on 3.6 grs Bullseye and max COAL of 1.020” to make sure sure the case can hold onto the projectile. Had to use a reduced power recoil spring obviously. It’s so soft and accurate, it’s ridiculous. These were the tests I ran: Zip G34 (3.6-4.2 grs 993-1158 FPS Western) No good PB G34 (3.6-4.2 grs 1013-1157 FPS Hogden) No good Unique G34 (4.2-4.8 grs 895-1091 FPS Lyman) No good Bullseye G34 (Lonewolf Threaded barrel)(Test) (3.4-4.0 grs 867-1023 FPS Lyman) 2.8 grs NO 3.0 grs NO 3.2 grs NO 3.4 grs min for function 3.5 grs 1089 FPS 13.3 SD / 31 3.6 grs 1115 FPS 7.6 SD / 18 3.7 grs 1134 FPS 8.8 SD / 23 Agency Barrel 3.6 grs 1083 FPS 17.1 SD / 49 ES (11lb Wolff)* 3.8 grs 1117 FPS 12.7 SD / 48 ES (12 lb Wolff) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    TS vs TSO

Correct. Just picked one up a couple months ago. Had extended left side safety. Color matched mag release. And metal vs polymer trigger. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
