Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I read through this, interesting, but I did not find the answer to my specific question, Thanks.
  2. I am thinking of switching from a C-more Railway to an RTS 2 on my open gun. If you have done this, what do you think?
  3. Hey Rick thanks, I meant 17 or 34, brain fart.
  4. I'm looking to build a 9mm open gun on a Glock platform. Those who have done (or those with only an opinion), would you start with a mod 19 or 34?
  5. Shooting at new range, the RO (whom I do not know) says "are you ready". Long interval I turn and he hits buzzer. I do not start, but ask what is going on? He says you have to nod your head when ready. Long discussion. Others chime in seems that is the local custom. I have to nod when we get back to business. Later I get rule book out, cuts no ice. Haven't been back there since.
  6. Was the shooter new? Experienced shooters would more often than not ask the RO if it was make ready. There should not not any extra verbiage when making the range commands. The RO should have used a different phrase, "going hot".
  7. Everyone hates to see a shooter DQ. I feel bad for the shooter if I am the RO. No lesson is learned if you don't make the call. I would have a private discussion with the MD and the outcome would determine if I would ever RO for him again. We used to have an RM who could be counted on to reverse my decisions-I don't think he liked me. I tried not to work a major where he was RM.
