  1. TS40 shoots BBI and Acme great, couldn't see myself spending more for a equal or less in plated/jacketed bullets. I can't throw away money imo I want to shoot more.

    OAL for TS .40

I started with 1.125 oal for BBI 200/180gr and acme 200gr. Had no feeding issues but I like the 200gr bullets and wanted more oal. I had a fellow shooter ream my barrel so now I have been loading 1.155 on the BBIs and acme. I have had no problems at all and am loving it (been 6 months). Using WST, 320 and ramshot competition with 200gr bullets exclusively.
  3. BBI and Acme like the .356, Blues are .355 and never got the accuracy like the .356. I know I can order larger but not worth the effort with BBI and Acme giving cheap, accurate znd fast shipping bullets.
  4. Not that light if you're running S&B's. Sp01s, 75b all 11lb trigger spring, tactical sport 40 1.6lbs and sti 1911 2.5lb trigger all set off the S&B primers. Please leave them for me.
  5. Big thanks to MeatPuppet and everyone that makes this forum great. Reamed my 9mm czs and now have a longer oal for 135&147 projectiles. Had my ts40 done by a fellow generous shooter and can't be more happy.
  6. Local lgs has jugs of nitro and competition, will be testing competition, e3, n320, bullseye and 7625. Have been using wst. I will be watching for any nitro data.
  7. Work great for me, feds softest then win/s&b in my experience. All very lightly sprung steel guns. Can't go wrong $20/k
  8. Lee classic turret, can be used as a single, manual index or auto index. I use it for load development and my rifle. Each caliber has its own head so just drop in and you are rolling. I use a progressive for 9mm and 40. I couldn't see myself owning a single stage again.
  9. It will be a few years before I have to mourn 7625. Hodgdon, bad taste in my mouth, support the other companies so one ring doesn't rule all the reloaders.
  10. So far 9mm 124gr rn is the only mold change I am aware of. To bad looks like blues for me, the older acme profile seemed to chamber softer, load longer and just as accurate. Not buying the new profile 124, worst of all they didn't let anyone know or update the web. Acme is not my goto bullet manufacturer anymore.
  11. Thanks for info a lot of that powder around here.
  12. What it a good optic for a Pic rail ?
  13. I giggled when I read the last sentence in the linked article. I have to agree. Us reloaders that reload for competition tend to push the boundaries, I like 200gr bullets with fast powder.
  14. Do it and let us know how it goes.
  15. Great looking at these ideas, just to busy so I am probably going the FART way.
  16. 147 rn xtremes 75b and sp01s 1.135oal for me.
  17. I have shot a lot of berry's and xtreme, now coated for me as reasons stated above. Acme and BBI
  18. I need to see some 8lbers locally, hard to justify hazmate charge.
  19. Love the lee classic turret, all my rifle and pistol development goes through it. What u get for the money is a great deal.
