Seen pictures of a few barrels shearing/wearing down the lugs on converted open guns and Gold Team's. Thought it was due to compensators and hot loads compounded with barrel tolerances, guess not. Any Gunsmith's weld and refit barrels to correct timing and lockup?

Has anyone seen a full-size in 9mm with the manual safety? Looking for one now to practice with before they make it down the supply chain to the unit levels. Contacted Sig through email and Facebook without luck, if nobody seen one then will have to call to find out.

Just received a reply from MecGar in reference to introducing 140mm and 170mm type 1pc mag tubes for the Tanfoglio. Standard reply from a large company but would be nice to if they start manufacturing them...

(in the US) CZ Shadow2 is still small-frame vs the TS/Czechmate and Tanfo Stock series which are large frame. Smaller hands might prefer the small frame series.

Short thumb screws and open backed 1/8" Chicago screw threaded backings, works like a charm. (OEM Ghost screw backings are a smaller diameter that don't work with the thumb screws.) Second project is a plate to adapt the GHOST to the BOSS Hanger...

Forgot, you will also need new, shorter grips to match the mag well.

Am using EGD mag well that slides on and has two set screws, one on each side. The frame has a drilled hole in that position, personally i like the set screw idea better. With the EGD mag well, oem mag floor plates will need heavy modifications to work with it. If you get aluminum Henning PRODUCTION base pads they will either need to be modified or the mag well will need modifications. If you use the Henning 140mm mags or basepads then all is good...

EGW also offers a slide stop pin without a lever, have one as a backup...

Yup, didn't know that... The Ghost Thunder holster is nice but the hanger assembly doesn't look very durable with locking and maintaining the adjustments, the BOSS would have fixed that.

Just jumped into the Tanfo world, originally planned to use a .40 Stock3 and grab a 9mm conversion kit for production. Like you, was shocked on the conversion upper cost from EAA and had to adjust my plan with a complete separate pistol. .40 Stock3 setup with SAO with PatriotDefense goodies: 14lb hammer spring, optimized trigger, firing pin, and sear springs, BOLO, Henning XL firing pin, removed firing pin block, Titan hammer, Dawson fiber optic front sight, Xtreme trigger and conefit guide rod, EGD grips and mag well. Henning 140mm mags from BSPS. No thumb rest now, but might drill/tap the frame later on to match the Limited guns. Large frame A little shorter barrel, slide, and frame Single side safety and fixed sights... So an IDPA legal version of the Stock 3, all sounds good to me.

BSPS has the OEM mag bodies with the Henning 140mm extensions and Gram spring/follower setups.

My brand new Stock3 has this same issue, the frame is even marked up where the Italian guy forced the broken detent in the frame notch. I was wondering why the frame was marked and the Safety lever wouldn't reinstall. Not even going to try EAA for warranty, sounds like it's not worth it. Hoping to stop by PD to pick up a replacement a safety.

Received a new Stock 3 in 9mm recently and started to work on it, when i tried to tighten the replacement EGD grips one screw stripped out. After a closer examination it seems that Tanfo did a crap job of either tapping the frame or they stripped it while tapping it, leaving an oversized hole. Does anyone sell a kit with over oversize screws and a tap, or just take it to Patriot Defense? Other minor gripes: The slide profile in front by the dust cover isn't the greatest fitment either, and this Stock3 didn't include the neat tool to adjust the sights like my previous .40 did. Still amazed about the amount of burrs Tanfo left on these pistols internally...

How did Tanfoglio get the DA pistols to work with the 1pc sear? Factory extended firing pin block?

S3, wanted the rail and non-bull barrel. Am guessing the S3 can be machined for a barrel bushing at some point to tighten up the accuracy. S3 can also be nitrided/melonited easier to prevent wear.

Noticed that EGW makes a weld on magwell for the Tanfo... Will that fit the Match frame?
