  1. The outside grip width is 1" (consistent with single stacks). So I think it was designed for a single stack mag. Its not a double stack grip modified to accept a single stack mag.
  2. No. You also cant use SS mags made to fit a double stack frame. There is language about that in the rules. Don't know where off the top of my head.
  3. The Staccato C is a single stack. Their other models are double stacks. It depends on the size of the magazines the gun accepts. Wide body frames are not SS legal. See D5 Special notes. And because of the ports in the slide of the S&W it is not SS legal. See D5-22.
  4. Update - I smoothed the hood corner and the slide cutout edge and it seems to be working now. Will see if it happens again. Hopefully that's all it needed.
  5. Well dang it!!! I just received the brand new Grey Ghost Precision GGP320 barrel and there is a problem. It may be a design flaw but let me know what you think. I emailed GGP service and will see how long it takes to respond and what they are going to do. It looks like the sleek design of the chamber (chopped corners) allows the barrel to over rotate so the breech-end corner of the hood can catch on the slide cutout on the underside and block the slide open. This happens about every 4th or 5th cycling of the slide. A pull on the slide will allow the barrel hood to drop, clear the cutout, and go back into battery. This will also happen when disassembled and manually moving the barrel in the slide. This is happening with a GGP Limited slide and a Sig RXP slide so that points to the barrel (both have the underside cutout). I can manually cause the stoppage and see what happens but if I use a different barrel its not possible to cause the stoppage because the barrel doesn't move axially. I also notice in some pictures of barrels there is more surface area on the top surface of the chamber than the barrel I received. Even the pics on GGPs website are different than the barrel I have. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. Do you agree with my assessment? Has anyone heard or experienced this with the GGP barrels? If so, how was it resolved? Thanks
  6. Hehe . I don’t have any expensive special tools. I used a drill (to keep cuts and filing concentric), Dremel with cutting wheel, a file and sand paper. Didn’t really need the file. It took about an hour and only cost $7. Better than $30 and waiting for weeks. I guess the Dremel is a special tool. It works great for stuff like this. Just wanted to share the idea.
  7. Picked up this Craftsman Sig P320 guide rod. Great quality and very inexpensive.
  8. Great idea! I've been using straight syringes but the ones I found don't work that well. Thanks for the tip.
  9. Looks like glockstore has P320 DoubleD barrels in stock (you can select compact or full sized). Also found gunzonedeals and they also have some P320 barrels in stock for reasonable prices. I just ordered a GGP full sized threaded barrel.
  10. Thanks, I had not heard of 76A.
  11. Correction, it’s Radical Firearms and the barrel is on OpticPlanet. Looks like they are discontinuing their line of pistol barrels.
  12. Parts are getting scarce. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Radical Firearms P320 barrels or any of their pistol barrels? How's the quality and accuracy compared to factory? Thanks
  13. Parts are getting scarce. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Radical Arms P320 barrels? How's the quality and accuracy compared to factory? Thanks
  14. I’ve done it twice. From SS to Limited to CO and each time I learned a lot in the process. And I am still progressing which is important to me.
  15. I don't see how you use the Derlin bushing. How do you keep it in place. to whack it with the hammer? I've used a steel punch and strategically hold a thick piece of leather on the end to prevent scratches.
  16. Hi Nick. I work with the mag shell only (remove the guts and base). For mags that don't drop freely, use a sharpie to identify where the mag is rubbing. Then I use a padded vice and gently squeeze them on the side that is rubbing. Go easy. I tighten slightly, then release, and repeat the process for a couple times then check the fit. Repeat if necessary. I hope this helps
  17. https://christensenarms.com/ They offer titanium as an option. It's double the price.
  18. I agree! Technically I think it is coaching. I have seen this for new shooters.
  19. Good catch. Yes, I agree. The slides are widely available without a ball cut so it should be legal.
  20. Ah, I understand now. I don't recall seeing any mass produced 1911 that doesn't have some form of ball cut. Are they available as a standard option?
  21. I don't know what a Stirrup is? I couldn't fine a good explanation/example. Some people referred to it as the "ball cut". Is it the same thing? But as far as slide cuts go it boils down to if it is deemed to provide a competitive advantage or not. Milling D4-21 and 22 Permitted - Duplicating features that are on a factory, mass produced slide available to the general public is permitted. Permitted - Milling of the slide to insert sights, add or remove serrations, such as cocking or flat topping, tri-topping the slide, lowering ejection ports, cuts that are minor and cosmetic in nature are permitted. Prohibited - Slide lightening, cuts, ports, or any milling deemed to provide a competitive advantage.
  22. Definition of Draw - The point at which a handgun is removed or disengaged from the holster so as to allow access to any portion of the interior of the trigger guard. If the gun remains completely holstered (I.e the trigger Guard is Completely covered) no problem at all. You can have your hand on the grip all day. That said, If you move the gun up even slightly where the trigger is uncovered it’s A DQ. hope that helps
  23. Was it clear we are asking if the WC grip can be used on other Sig P320 models? Just checking. Certainly not stated in the rules.
  24. Good question. I checked the rule book and Appendices D4 22.2 and D7 21.4 do not explicitly allow a non-OFM grip. It does explicitly allow modifications to the OFM grip. And other paragraphs explicitly prohibit non-OFM grips which add functionality. Worth noting the WC-P320 model, which uses the grip you are asking about, was added to approved list in May. Hard to say for sure but seems to me it’s only allowed if you are shooting the WC P320 model. Has anyone asked the NROI about this?
