  1. Hand tool, a little bit of material.
  2. Depends on the bullet profile, which are you using?
  3. Did you misfire with this one Jim? http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=195258 or did you shoot a TS and not like it? I have the Limited and the TS so I can tell you each has it's advantages and it's drawbacks. TS Strengths: -sub 2# trigger out of the box -with CZC springs/followers/base pads mags hold 21 reloadable with no fuss -solid, heavy tight gun -fixed rear sight makes a great place to rack the slide TS Weaknesses: -cheesy waffle iron checkering on frame -cycles best with SAAMI length rounds with jacketed/plated bullets (most lead bullets must be loaded really short and take some work to make reliable) -cheesy plastic mag well EAA Limited Strengths: -aggressive checkering on front and rear strap -adjustable rear sight (if you like them) -dead sexy looks -drilled and tapped for thumb rest/optics -eats a variety of loads/bullets/lengths (can even use 10mm mags and load longer than 1.2") EAA Limited Weaknesses: -4#+ trigger out of the box -20 rounds with Henning pads/springs/followers (21 if tuned) -slightly less cheesy aluminum factory mag well (Henning's is much better) I go back and forth on which I like better
  4. First off, did you actually measure the barrel in the Beretta? because unless your dad has an Aussie Shadow, you didn't measure his barrel http://www.saami.org/glossary/display.cfm?letter=b
  5. I say try the 105s to see if they'll chamber reliably and if not go to the 115s. The reason to shoot heavy bullets is that when the PF is constant a 147gr bullet traveling 850 fps is WAY softer than a 105gr bullet traveling 1,190 fps, but when you don't have to make PF, a 105gr going 850 fps* feels like a bb gun compared to a 147gr bullet going 850 fps. *I'm assuming you're shooting static steel, this load will not knock down poppers reliably
  6. Physics will probably be more help here
  7. Thanks Scott, I actually bought a used gun with a Burris and sold it. Since posting this I've decided to stick with a frame mounted C-More for my shorty build, it's still going to be dramatically lighter than my current Open gun so I'll see how I like it. I don't think I can give up the big glass.
  8. SP01 Zack. They're starting to come back in stock at 'normal' prices (~$650 for bone stock). The 'normal' price for an SP01 Shadow was a real bargain at $880, but since the street value for a used one is ~$1,400, I doubt those prices will be back in the foreseeable future.
  9. I've never seen such a thing, but I do have some super sight take offs for $50 shipped each.
  10. At this time it's really about what you can find, the SP01 models have a rail which adds weight and helps to mitigate recoil and the Shadow models are easier to get a great trigger on (but the regular SP01 is no slouch! http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773).
  11. Does anyone have a small frame long slide (4.75") 9mm barrel sitting around (I'm looking for two) obviously I would take a 6" barrel as well
  12. kneelingatlas

    Nope

    I see you trollin' Joe
  13. Good thing, I'm going to need another mag well soon
  14. Yes Steve that's what I was getting at: I know the actual sight is lighter than the C-More, but I was more interested in the net effect. Right now I have an aluminum mount and Slide Ride C-More, bolted to my frame, if I were to get rid of that, plus some meat from the slide, then add the RTS2, I wonder how much weight I would shed???
  15. I've been interested in trying a short, lightweight Open gun and thinking about a slide mounted optic. All my Open guns currently sport horizontal C-Mores and I like the dot low on the slide and the big glass, but can't help wonder how much weight could be saved with a RTS2 type optic milled into the slide. Has anyone ever weighed the two setups side by side?
  16. Rodney, the thin grips for CZs also work for small frame Tanfos with little or no fitting. Was looking for some that would work with the factory mag well on the limited... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk The standard frame, competition frame/no mag well, the factory mag well, the Henning mag well (scratch that, I think both mag wells use the same grip, I was thinking of the CZC/CZ UB mag wells ); they all need different length grips which are hard to find/expensive, so I just cut the full size grips to fit.
  17. Rodney, the thin grips for CZs also work for small frame Tanfos with little or no fitting.
  18. The pins are smaller on CZs, so if you use a CZ trigger you can drill out the holes just enough and get a tight fit.

    Nope

    ??? Tactical Sport?
  20. Chanman, check out the Chop Shop: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180692&page=20#entry2162468
  21. http://henningshootsguns.com/shop/magpads.html The H141's are the same for 9mm or 40
  22. The best part about Numrich is their great return policy, so I just buy everything that might possibly work, then return the rest. I actually bought all their Witness compensators just to I could figure out what they had and help them advertise them correctly (they almost got it right ).
  23. You might get more action in the Chop Shop: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180692&page=20#entry2159656
