That's just the Hogue grip for the CZ75. It will fit small frame Tanfos with no problems, large frame Tangos take some fitting inside the mag well and I just had to stretch it around the TS. I have a few extra if you'd like to try...
When sighting in your gun I think it's crucial to shoot some slow fire groups, then once you're confident it's all dialed in see what it does at speed; otherwise you're just chasing your tail. I pick ten yards fairly arbitrarily and I shoot at a bulls eye target like this:
The white background makes it easy to see the black sights in a dark range and the black likes help me to hold right in the center.
Maybe that's not the problem? Factory .38 special ammo can drive tacks with 158s doing 770ft/s (121.7PF) right? So I think the issue with tumbling heavy bullets is with the powder. Have you tried that load with a slower powder?
All these replies and no one has ask yet?!? How big are the groups? At what range?
If you're shooting 1/2" groups at ten yards I find it highly unlikely you're executing some flawed technique consistently.
Last Thursday I won a Fun Steel match shooting my Shadow out of a Blade Tech and surprisingly my times were vary similar to those using my Open gun and a CR Speed holster...
Did I say that last one Jack? or is that your reply to my 150/hr on a 550? I don't own a SDB
It seems there are some guys loading faster on a 550, but that wasn't my experience. However, my 650 runs like a raped ape!
Try to get hold of one of these powders (someone will likely trade for your TG):
3N38
N105
N350
AA#7
AA#9
AutoComp
HS6
Silhouette
CFE Pistol
Longshot
AA#5
Good luck
Rich D told me if you take too much weight out of a 6" slide it can induce feeding problems, so naturally I'm nervous about ruining my new Limited gun. How much does your 6" slide weigh and how does that weight compare to your 5" slide? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I suggest you make friends with another local 9 major shooter (preferably one with a similar gun), offer him components in exchange for reloading lessons.
If you're going to compile scores and give them to the shooter, what is the penalty for going sub-minor? If the competitor fails to make minor, they shoot for no score; that seems like pretty clear direction to me: don't keep track of their score.
Honestly I don't know what I'd want to see. I can see listing them with no scores is just a waste of space on the results.
That makes it easy then, was up there scorecard and throw it away
