  1. I could do a 2 port comp like this one or a three port aluminum for $40, but something fancier like a Brazos ThunderComp would be closer to $200:
  2. I can set you up with a compensated barrel for your 10mm Match
  3. OK, so if it's in accordance with the rules, the other shooters in the squad might suggest he use a barney mag to not advertise his lawlessness, but I don't see that and official action must be taken.
  4. Am I missing something here? I'm under the impression loading 11 in the first mag at load and make ready is legal in Production and L10 so long as there are only ten rounds in the mag at the start signal?
  5. Would it fit my witness match? If so how much do you want for the 10 mm Hunter upper. No, the dust cover is too short, the guide rod/spring would be exposed.
  6. So how much is the stroke increase? tenths of an inch or hundredths?
  7. I have some, but haven't gotten a chance to load any yet. I like Clays with 135s and 147s (although it gets a little funny if you load too short), I wanted to use something slower for the 165s so I got some IMR 7625. I'll keep everyone posted...
  8. Speaking of porn... I stumbled across some pictures of pretty cool custom Tanfos on a German snuff site
  9. have you tried different bullets? or measured the ones you have?
  10. Just for everyone's information: the modern, four bolt Tanfoglio bolt pattern is M4 holes, 10mm on center, the old style, three bolt pattern is M4, 25mm on center so I plan to ask for a few with no holes so I can drill two holes for those older frames (there isn't enough space on the mount to fit all three holes) and the Czechmate pattern is three M4 holes, 15mm on center, so you could use the Tanfo mount on a Czechmate using the first and fourth holes.
  11. Welcome I'm in San Diego
  12. Z Hunter, I did a trigger job how to on the block equipped guns here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773 Here's a video of the reset on that gun after I hand fir the Type 1 CGW short reset disco and did some mods to the trigger bar and the block lifter: The factory trigger pull numbers were 11lbs, 4.5oz DA, 5lbs, 3.5oz SA after the trigger job: 7lbs, 4oz DA, 2lbs, 11.6oz SA (hammer spring used was 11.5# so if you went with an 8.5# spring and FED primers only you could get lower numbers); the same lower with a Shadow upper showed the following pull numbers: 5lbs, 7oz DA, 2lbs, 7oz SA.
  13. You could do that, the Czechmate (as well as the old, three hole Tanfo pattern) is dripped much further back.
  14. Therein lies the question! From time to time EAA stocks 6" barrels, but after the price hike they're $321... Power Factor Shooting/Briley has toyed with the idea, but it's stuck in the mud. Your best bet is to pull the comp off the second barrel which comes with the gun and only has one port in the comp. You can also just have a new cone comp made and cover the holes.
  15. In case anyone doesn't know, this is what I looks like:
  16. Beer Baron asked me to see what it would take to convince Matt to make a run of these again; he agreed to make them if there are at least a dozen ordered at $99 shipped each. If you want one let me know ASAP and I'll let Matt know; either way Barron and I will get enough to make the run happen, I just want to be sure everyone who wants one gets one, so ask around
  17. The detent is a custom item, I have one slide with the detent in the slide and a corresponding dimple in the racker, I suppose the detents could be in the racker, but you don't have a lot of depth to work with.
  18. I didn't hit the balloon Graham, it hit the steel and the splatter hit the balloon.
  19. Of course Jerry threw boxes of bullets downrange before the camera was rolling and most likely had the targets placed in a way which would give him a point of reference on the horivon to aim at, but 1,000 yards is really far! I've put five out of six shots on a 3' plate at 200 yards with a revolver once I figured out the holdover, but that's a whole lot closer
  20. Mild Bill asked me to take some pictures, so I though I might as well share them here in case anyone else is curious: This is a large frame (small frame is identical in almost all dimentions) Limited with the checkered wood grips. For comparisons sake my hand measures just under ten inches from the tip of my thumb to the tip of my pinkie when opened wide. And no, there isn't a trigger in that gun (it's rare I have more than a few pistols fully assembled at any time
  21. Cool semi-compact ported Witness for sale cheap on GB: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=432358245 If the seller would ship to CA I would've grabbed it It would make the basis for a fun .357 SIG Open steel gun
  22. FULLSIZE 10RD – LARGE FRAME – #101922 Here's the cheapest place to get them: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/8-EAA-101922 Pay no mind to the description (it's wrong), just the part number: http://eaacorp.com/magazines/ PS: there are no aftermarket mags, all the mags are made by MecGar, they're just stamped differently for distribution through EAA or through MecGar.
