  1. Are you using a Chrono? That sounds like a very light load for 38...
  2. 4.8gr of WST under a 180gr lead bullet at 1.160 got me 166pf through my Witness.
  3. What's the matter with you?!? You haven't been glued to the 381 post progress of the flip and catch thread??? :roflol:
  4. This pistol would likely have a shorter reset than your SP01, but I doubt is it would be as short as mine in the video, and I would be surprised if the trigger pull was lighter than 7-8# DA and 3# SA.
  5. A light SA pull is all about the hammer hooks and polishing. If you buy a factory new Shadow you will still need to do an action job to get it as good as your SP01. Your SP01 reset can be made better with a hand fit Type 1 as well as modifications to the trigger bar/firing pin block lifter arm: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773&p=2122417 This is my SP01 with FPB installed:
  6. I take it you have the LPA rear sight? The stock fixed rear sight makes a pretty great racker. Do you plan to cut a new dovetail in front of the rear sight? When I installed a thumb rest on my TS I bolted a racker to the rear sight just so it would sit right on table starts.
  7. Yes, the wonder finish (which comes on the $400 base gun) is indestructible! What do you want for a grand?!? It should cost ~$200-$300 to do hard chrome, about half for Cerekote.
  8. The Tanfo blue rusts easily; my Hunter did the same thing. Time for Hard chrome!
  9. 147s at 125pf is pushing the edge of what the powder can do so it got pretty harsh on me. Sparks and weird stuff.
  10. Although now that I think of it I do know of a member who has (or at least had) a spare .40 Limited barrel... In which case 10mm WOULD be the RIGHT choice!
  11. The "right" answer?!? Perhaps if you could just click, clickey, click and order a .40 Limited barrel... There's no easy way to get a .40 Limited, so if you're a USPSA shooter I suggest you get the Limited in 9mm, get it all set up, then shoot it as you look for a .40 upper. You can also use the long slide upper from a Match or a Limited Pro; in fact you could probably find a used Match .40, use the upper and throw away the lower for what a Limited .40 upper would cost you
  12. I have one done and the other is waiting on your parts shipment from CGW!
  13. This is manual safety SP01 with the firing pin block and hand fir Type 1 disco installed: Explained here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773&p=2122417 The CGW short reset discos (http://www.cajungunworks.com/short_reset_system_-_srs.html) in order of thickness (don't ask me why): Type 2 (thinnest) Type 1 Type 3 (thickest) The thicker the disco, the shorter the reset. The Type 2 drops into the FPB equipped models and the Type 1 drops into the non block models, so The type 1 can be fit to the block models for a shorter reset just as the Type 3 can be fit to the non-block models for a shorter reset still. I have a Shadow with a Type 3 disco which is the ultimate short reset.
  14. Do it yourself! http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773&page=1
  15. If it's an iPhone it's pretty easy to replace the glass, and cheap too. I have a construction company with 50 lines so I've seen a lot, even a screen shatter inside a fancy Otter box case.
  16. I think 3n38 is going to end IP being your favorite!
  17. I do hang my USPSA card off the zipper of my range bag just in case I leave it somewhere, but I don't have anything I need to announce medically.
  18. An overtightened grip screw could've just broke with a little extra impulse.
