  1. There's an outside chance you have a SAO hammer, but otherwise just the trigger and disco. The SAO hammer has a solid sear surface, the DA/SA has a slot cut in the front for the disco.
  2. By large or small I'm referring to the frame size (Tanfoglio Glossary of Terms); as far as I know all Matches are large frame and if both the other two are .45s, they'd be large frame as well. If you post some pictures I can probably tell you
  3. Large frame or small John? standard (4.5" barrel) or longslide (4.75")?
  4. The grip is bigger on the CM than on a Shadow, does she like a heavy gun? the CM weighs ~49oz unloaded, by comparison my full sized 2011 and my custom CZ75SA based Open guns are ~42oz. I'm planning a sub 40oz build based on the 75SA
  5. The 38 super gun can be rebarreled to 9mm although it may need some extractor work to be reliable; there are even some mad men around here shooting 9mm out of a 38 barrel with no I'll effects...
  6. That all works, but unless you're in an area with a barrel length minimum like Australia the Stock II barrel/slide/frame are a 1/4" shorter than those of the Limited. So a Stock II that much cheaper than a Limited there?
  7. I tried the sprinco and didn't care for the recoil impulse, the effect of the dual system was small and that which I detected, I didn't particularly like. Even if I did like it, it's a fairly insignificant effect when compared to the cost.
  8. Here's a thread about loading Clays short: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=205116#entry2312698 Clays is about the softest powder around, but also the most feared, proceed with caution
  9. the 9x21 barrel is for a small frame slide, 9x25 is a large frame caliber
  10. Numrich has a 4.5" 38 Super barrel and a compensated 9x21 barrel listed on their site. These are not the barrels you're looking for... No really, they're not
  11. I have one with a 17oz trigger which is very nice

  13. The way I look at it, the TS is already a heavy pig, but if you want to add another ounce to the nose go ahead.
  14. I've been wrong before, but I think there's a little misinformation rolling around in this thread. I've played with these guns pretty extensively and I believe unlike a 1911, the guide rod is not impacted at the rearmost slide travel. It certainly could if the recoil spring is too long and goes solid before the full stroke is achieved, but if you cycle the slide with no guide rod/spring, you can get a clear picture of where the slide impacts the frame. A buffer rests between these two pieces of metal, but also shortens the stroke.
  15. "A vascular surgeon determined that Liebeck suffered full thickness burns (or third-degree burns) over 6 percent of her body, including her inner thighs, perineum, buttocks, and genital and groin areas. She was hospitalized for eight days, during which time she underwent skin grafting. Liebeck, who also underwent debridement treatments, sought to settle her claim for $20,000, but McDonalds refused." http://www.lectlaw.com/files/cur78.htm In case anyone is interested.
  16. The 10mm follower is longer than the 40, the Grams can be trimmed but I wouldn't; the last thing you need is to worry about the follower too! A hair too long and it'll hang up in the tube, a hair too short, who knows?!?
  17. Yes, that's the one I use, it's the same as the old style combat but without the screw.
  18. I would imagine 7.5gr WAC under a 124 making only 170pf is either a shorty or has lots of holes, make some rounds with 6.5-7.2 and put them over a chrono.
